Best food I have ever had in the Inland Empire! The Prime Rib makes me want to smack my momma...sorry mom!?!? The service staff and environment is also excellent. I love the history and reminds us Californians how we should cherish things that are older than 50 years ago and know that there is still a rich history to our little area here in the I.E.!I can't wait to go back and have another meal!

So disappointed in Sycamore Inn. They haven't been answering their phones. It's become very difficult to make a reservation, which they request. (It used to be "first come, first served" in the bar area, but since the pandemic they have made you have reservations in the bar area, which is the only area of the restaurant that we like.) I made a reservation through OpenTable on their website 5 days ago requesting a booth in bar area. They had confirmed my reservation by text and email. Then they call me an hour and 15 minutes before the reservation (when I'm already on my way to pick up my parents to take them to the restaurant) saying they can't seat us anywhere in the bar area. They confirm twice, then can't honor it an hour before dinner?! Are they trying to force people into the rooms they want? Are they just poorly managed that they don't check their reservation confirmations until the day of, when they were made 5 days ago and autoconfimed? Are they so busy that they don't care about how they treat customers? I don't know what you have to do to get a seat in the bar area. Despite their servers always being fantastic, their management and hosts have been subpar. This is around the 4th time we've had issues with the hosts, reservations, and seating. It's feeling self-abusive to try to go there anymore, despite how much I have loved this kitschy classic joint over the many years. I feel like I'm losing a long-time friend. It's so sad.

This was the first time going to Sycamore Inn with my husband and his first time ever. We came in for Happy Hour and just wanted some appetizers and drinks. The restaurant is super cute but we chose to sit on the patio where the heaters were on and we could have a nice conversation since the bar was packed. I am usually freezing and Garett was nice enough to turn the heater up to make sure we were comfortable without us even asking! Let's talk food which is why you're here. Like Blue Cheese?! Get the mushrooms! My GOODNESS! They were so good and so stuffed! The crab cakes were also ultra delicious and the hubby said they were the best he's ever had. The cheese plate was just okay. I thought they could incorporate more unique cheeses. I can say that the Espresso Martini was the best I've ever had and the Chai White Russian was such an amazing combination! Service was good! Garret who I'm not sure was our server was super attentive. The hubby wants to go for the full dinner experience next time.

This is our go-to place for catching up every few weeks. The cozy comfort of red booths, dark beamed ceiling, jazz gently playing in the background, and warmth of the fireplace adds to the charm and relaxation for drinks, dinner, and conversation among friends. The service is thoughtful and unobtrusive, while quietly bringing the little extras unasked for, like extra butter or loaf of bread. Our meals were delicious - rich, fresh, and plentiful. The braised short rib that a friend and I both ordered was decadent tasting. The artichoke my friend ordered was creamy and delicious. Another friend found her meatloaf savory and delectable. Lastly, the tomatoes on the burrata salad were fresh and bursting with fresh flavor. All in all, this is why we return regularly!

Excellent experience at the Sycamore Inn. First timer for dinner on a Friday night and I must say I was highly impressed. This spot is perfect for a first date, girls night out or special occasion with family or friends. Atmosphere in the bar area is lively and cozy. Dark wood, red seats, fireplace and drinks pouring. The main dining room is more of a peaceful, intimate experience, very good for dinner and occasions. Service from our server was very good. The berry margarita was 10/10, excellent filet mignon, mashed potato's and garden salad. Everyone else at the table chose the rib eye and loved it. Would return, and would reccomend spending on a well worth dinner.

Very nice time here for a company Christmas party. We were only upstairs in one of the banquet rooms. Food was fine and the decor appropriate for Christmas. Hope to try the downstairs restaurant in the future

What a good steakhouse. My prime rib was perfectly medium rare and a huge portion. One of the things I love about a good prime rib is that each bite just melts like whip cream in your mouth. The potatoes au gratin was a delight too. I mean--for me that's the standard side with any huge beef meal. I just find it pairs perfectly. I also had a bite or three of the lobster tail on offer and that will definitely by an option for the next visit.I love the service. Raul our service pretty much kicked ass on every request, anticipating every question and concern. He even had time to tell stories and share pictures like a long-lost uncle. The night ended great, the food was great, and I now have a great opinion of this place.

Started the night off with a cocktail from the bar. They make a proper dirty martini and a respectable happy hour price, which was a pleasant surprise. I had the peppercorn New York steak and my wife had the sea bass. My steak was over cooked, ordered medium rare, definitely on the medium side. Thought about sending back but I just ate it. The peppercorn was a little bit too heavy for me, but the sauce was really nice. You can order the sauce without the pepper crust which is what I would recommend and would do if I went back. Although my steak was over cooked, it was a nice piece of meat and I should have sent it back and cooked as ordered. My wife had the sea bass. Was a nice piece of fish with a delicious light cream sauce. The fish was perfectly cooked but was Luke warm at best. My wife debated sending it back due to the temperature but she did not. Also had a salad and baked potato. The salad was good a little in the small side and the baked potato was good. They give you some kinda cheese butter with the bread and that was so good they could sell as an appetizer. Overall was still a good dinner. The service was very good from the bar to our waiter. I am sure they would have fixed our main dishes if we had asked but the service was so good I gave it 4 stars. I like the bar area, and patio's ambiance more than the main dining room but it does have a cool old time feel. I would say the fact that the main dishes had issues I am not sure if I would go back again and opt for a different steak house.
