Sushi One Spot in Montclair is a hidden gem for quality sushi at a great price! I came on a Monday night, and there was already a line. They offer both AYCE ($29.95 lunch!) and à la carte (BOGO rolls!), plus $2 beer and sake to top it off.The sushi quality is excellent, fresh cuts and generous portions. My favorites were the Cajun salmon, seared garlic salmon, creamy salmon, garlic shrimp, and Cajun tuna nigiri, plus the XOXO Roll, a flavorful baked roll with imitation crab, avocado, and baked langoustine. If you're doing AYCE, don't miss the third-round exclusives like sashimi carpaccio, beef tataki, and scallops! The service was friendly and efficient, and the lively atmosphere made for a great dining experience. Highly recommend for sushi lovers looking for quality and value!

Friday night and we end up here for sushi. Floors were sticky and wet.Service is terrible. They have maybe 4 sushi chefs for the entire place so food is coming out every 30 minutes. Servers have 15% gratuity automatically added to each check so they don't care about providing good service.

I can't say enough good things about Sushi One Spot! We took my mom here for her birthday and it was hands down one of the best sushi experiences we've ever had. From the moment we walked in, the service was unparalleled. The manager was incredibly kind and made sure we had everything we needed to make my mom's birthday extra special. We opted for the All You Can Eat sushi, and I can confidently say this might be the best sushi place I've ever been to. The sashimi was unbelievably fresh, the rolls were perfectly crafted, and every bite was high-quality.Beyond the food, the ambience was beautiful, making it the perfect spot for a special occasion. What really touched me was how they helped us celebrate--they brought out a birthday sign, and the staff even sang and clapped for my mom. She was absolutely glowing with happiness, and seeing her that joyful was truly priceless. This experience was so wonderful that I'm already looking forward to bringing her back every year or for any special occasion. Huge thank you to the Sushi One Spot team for creating such a memorable night for us! Highly recommend!

Hands down my favorite sushi spot of all time!I've been to many sushi spots and no other spots come close to this spot. I like how's theres plenty of parking. The inside is very aesthetically appealing and I love their flower wall. The music is a little loud but I don't mind it. I like how they serve 4 rolls on the sushi, that way you don't over order and can try a little bit of everything. Some of my favorite rolls have been Mexico City, Sakura, Nagoya, the Cajun salmon delight. Their nigiri is also really delicious, I highly recommend getting the Cajun salmon one, It's so buttery and delicious. The service here is great, I've been here a few times and everytime they are attentive and friendly.

This is our go-to AYCE sushi spot in the Inland Empire. For just under $40 a person, the menu is pretty extensive and we like the variety of appetizers they offer. This location isn't too busy so we've never had to wait long to be seated. The dining area is dim lit and they usually have sports games playing on the TVs. The restaurant has an outdoor patio but I don't think I've ever seen anyone eat out there. We've eaten here several times and the service has been good. The workers clear empty plates off the table quickly and the sushi chefs are pretty fast at making your order. There have been a few occasions where some of the food we ordered never came or they brought us some dishes that we didn't order but it wasn't too big of an issue. For people who choose to do AYCE vs a la carte, I wish they had the option to order half rolls so we can try multiple ones without getting too full. As with all AYCE sushi places, there is a lot of rice in the specialty rolls. For the miscellaneous dishes on the AYCE menu, smaller portions would be appreciated as well. For example, I ordered the ramen thinking it would be a small bowl but it was a very large serving and it was difficult to finish. Overall, the food and service are good so give it a try!

This was my first visit here. The restaurant's decor is nice. They have an AYCE option, but I didnt opt for it. The food for the most part was good. One of the rolls I ordered wasn't as expected and the server was nice and accommodating with switching it out for something else. Thank you!

First service was great at this location. The restaurant was clean including the restroom. The sushi itself was a mixed bag. The nijirj was cut thick, but the rice was dry, almost hard to pickup. The garlic salmon was nasty... weird "cheese looking" sauce, horrid flavor profile. The tuna was flavorful, but two pieces had this tough ligament going through them. The hand rolls were weird... no the traditional cone shape, they had way too much seaweed to fish, with a horrible mouth field. Just gross flavor profiles overall.Mandatory 15% tip on AYCEOverall 47.06 what transpired to be a gross meal...D+zz

My friends and I wanted to grab some sushi before watching a movie at the AMC. Luckily for us, Sushi One Spot is connected in the same mall strip. We were able to escape the heat in a dim lit restaurant with A/C. Our group of 7 was able to get seated right away. Despite being a large group, the service was good! The staff came often to take our plates away and refill our waters. We only needed to raise our hand once at the end for our check. Considering it was AYCE, our table got a lot of different pieces and had two rounds. All of the pieces were good and came out relevantly quick. The only comment I would have is that they didn't have sauce plates and ginger/wasabi out until we asked them for it. Even then, we needed to ask for extra ginger, since they prepare so little on the plates.

The food is pretty decent here. Except no lunch specials. They try to sell the $32- something all you can eat. That is it. Not everyone has that appetite. But the big thing I had an issue with is the food display. If there's one thing you can count on in life is that most sushi looks the same from a small takeout place to a nice expensive sushi place. And 30 years. I have never been surprised at the way. Sushi looks until now. I could've made this thing better myself. Horrible display of Sushi. And really not worth is a special roll price.
