The lemon chicken was cooked to perfection!Very young chefs working here and that's how you know the next generation is here to work! Good service and even better food. Great vibes and refills without getting up is nice.Typically when I come here I go for the steak but I've given up on pork and beef for a while.

It's like I just walked into a diner from the 80s or 90s. Just has a feel of being around for a long time. Great specials and feels like cafeteria style restaurant. We had a lunch steak special. It was a complete meal with a salad baked potato and included a drink for a really good price. The prices are great. The food value is good food quality mediocre. Looks like people who have come here have been coming here for a long time. Cool spot for a cheap meal.

No thank you! The price is so low you couldn't expect for your food not to taste of the giving quality. I ordered a meatloaf lunch, which came with a soda and salad. I decided to pay extra for the soup in exchange of the salad to get a full experience. "Clam chowder" I ordered as the young worker helped me through the process. "You'll need to pay now then later return for your order" she informed and I agreed with no regret. My order resembled the Hungry Man TV dinner from the 90s. The gravy and all! Like an old Hometown Buffet, with the line of assemble.It's nothing too special about this place and I wouldn't wanna give you false new so, go try it!

Another delicious meal at Sundowners today for lunch. We make the drive to this side of town for this place only. And they never fail us. And with their rewards program I got $10 off of our bill today. I noticed they remodeled the middle of the large dining room and got rid of the long tables. They added more larger size booths and it makes the restaurant look so much better. They're so much more comfortable as well. We'll be back soon. Thanks again!

The price is not the worst but the food is not great. They do have beef ribs but they put them on a metal plate with a sticky SWEET sauce that becomes a gooey mess. I got them once without the sauce and I got a greasy dry mess. The salad was limp and uninspired and the manager is not a friendly person. The one positive is that they quit forcing people to use cash by putting an expensive ATM in and now take plastic.

This place is a a hidden gem. Simple homestyle food. I haven't had a bad meal yet. The staff is so friendly the service is fast.

Prices went up, and the quality went down. I hope the quality can get to at least the price level. Now, it is not a good deal anymore like it once was.

Still and will always love this place! Was introduced to this place like 15-20(?) years ago. This was THEE place for cheap eats! ALWAYS get there before 5pm to get the lunch specials, which include a soup or salad and a drink! My go to is the steak lunch w a side of liver and onions. My other go to is the beef ribs. I usually order all three! Then take the rest home to eat for the next few days! The employees are awesome! They have everything streamlined. There is this gentleman who has been their since I started going and he's always so kind. I wish they would come to LA CO, but I guess I'll have to go to Fontana until then!

This spot brings a lot of good memories. It might not be the most fancy place to visit but if you stop by & try some of their lunch & dinner specials you would be surprised the food is pretty good and very budget friendly. I typically always get their soup & salad combo or a steak & shrimp or chicken with baked potatoe with toppings . This style of restaurant is very similar to cafeteria food . You pick something off the wall menu the move to the next station to pick soup or salad , drinks & dessert and pick up your meal . Overall , the staff is always friendly with a smile and professional.

Sundowners is a gem in Fontana. The portions are nice and you get more food for your buck here. The quality is good and the service is friendly. This is no fancy restaurant, but you'll get a good meal here for a good price. My favorite is the steak and shrimp with mashed potatoes. It's fresh every time. Give it a try if you're in the area.
