Seriously good Chinese food and excellent customer service! There are times when I want a bowl of black bean noodles and sweet and sour pork but some places oooze too much MSG, not so much here. I should ask next time if and how much they use.I should have taken pictures but we were too hungry and devoured everything before I had a thought to do so:)

Quantity and quality of food was balanced. We ordered so much, it was satisfying for the craves, and it didn't break the bank. The service was excellent. The place is intimate and comfortable. We got the spicy Popcorn Chicken. Mapo Tofu (Granny's Hot Tofu) Tots. Spicy Pork. Combo Bowls half Black Bean Noodle and half spicy Jjam Pong (Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup). Plus two lemonades. We also ordered a Beef Bulgogi Kimbap and the total was under $60!

I stopped by here on a short lunch break to get jajangmyeon and it was so good! The jajangmyeon (black bean noodles) were a great portion size. Noodles were fresh and bouncy and hot. The black bean sauce was super delicious, very silky with a good amount of golden pork belly, zucchini and onion. I liked the onion and cabbage sides that came with. Also very affordable for how much noodles you get.The service was great, the owner is very kind and even gave me a sample of orange chicken to try. It was very moist. Super friendly and easy to talk to.The inside is very clean, bright, and organized. It's a bit hard to find the restaurant since it's tucked behind La Bufadora but it's right on the corner.I'm excited to come back and try their other Korean dishes because the black bean noodles I had were so fresh with such good quality. You can tell they have a lot of pride in their food and put hard work in to make it delicious. It's nice that there is good Korean food close by so I don't have to drive to k-town for it.

The name of this place reminds me of Dr. Seuss book "Sneetches."It's mostly Korean with some sushi items and Korean-Chinese style food. It's very low-key. Even when you dine in, all items are served in plastic and disposable bowls/dishes. It has quite a variety of items on its menu and price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. I got a sashimi rice bowl which was quite massive. It came with a side of gochujang/vinegar sauce for dipping. Fish selection wasn't great but tasted fresh. My wife's Spicy Wonton & Seafood Soup (jjam pong) was really tasty. Broth was very soothing even with the spiciness. Service was surprisingly attentive even though there was only one person out front, which appeared to be the owner. He was making sushi items behind the counter, taking orders, and bringing out the food.

What a gem! This place needs to blow up, their Korean food selection was amazing. I tried the beef kimbap and also get their bulgogi beef rice bowl, and it did not disappoint. Unlike a ton of other kimbap, you can actually TASTE the beef, not just the rice and veggies: It reminded me of a ton of the Korean spots found in the diamond bar/rowland heights area, which is so rare for a place in Montclair. Apparently, they also make a ton of other dishes, including some Chinese and Japanese ones, which I will try next time. The service was awesome and I got to very briefly meet the chef that has over 20 years of experience making these types of food. I may not be as well versed in the various cuisines, but Korean food is my forte, and it's wonderful here from what I've tried so far. 100% try this place out, explore the menu, this seems like one of those really rare spots that does MANY things actually well, as opposed to being decent in those various cuisines. The environment is nice too, it's small but feels fresh and unique and somewhat new. So proud of this place, they've done a great job with what I've tried, and I am looking forward to trying even more of their selection.

This place is amazing! The prices are so affordable and there's ample seating. The black bean noodles were delicious and we added a side of bulgogi (~$5-6) and a side of sweet and sour pork (~$4-5) which was plenty to share between my boyfriend and I. We also ordered the pan fried pork buns which were great as well. We'll definitely be coming back, the service is amazing and they're very kind. We hope to see them expand their menu! (Maybe some cold noodles?)

I contemplated whether to even leave a review for fear this place would get too popular and we'd be waiting longer and/or paying more... keep this place a secret? I think not!I rarely if ever rate five stars because that designation represents a perfect score, which means the taste of the food, price, and ambiance are each 5-stars. I can rate a 3-stars for ambiance as there's no view of the ocean or city lights on top of a hill , just a nice parking lot with ample lighting. But the prices and the food were 5-stars solid! We ordered the curry popcorn chicken, which came with pickled onions and cabbage kimchee and all three were spot on! Spicy and full of flavor! After inhaling the appetizers we moved to our main entrees of spicy beef rib & seafood soup and garlic chicken. We always go home with boxes, but not when dining at Starbelly... this place is awesome! I'll be eating here with my family at least twice a month if not weekly! They're going to start charging us rent too!If you don't feel like driving out to Koreatown for tasty Korean (Japanese and other Asian options), look no further than Starbelly in Montclair!Service was first-class too cause we asked many questions regarding ingredients since our kids have food allergies, they weren't even with us but asking for when we return and they very patiently answered all of our questions.

Great experience so far with this place. Still need to go and try more of the different food, but was not able to a few times due to it being closed on Tuesday. So far we have tried the Korean JJ Noodles and the Popcorn chicken, and I have got to say those are real good! I believe when I went in, I was greeted by the owner or manager. He was really nice and made sure I knew the status of my order or when my order would be ready. This place seems to have a mix of Korean and Chinese. I was able to look into some of the history, and it seems like the owner has had a lot of experience in the SGV area before opening a place here. Love to see more and more Asian food places open around here, and more people being able to try this type of cuisine. We regularly go to La Bufadora which is right NEXT to this place, which makes it a perfect combo if we want a variety of different type of food. I found it was really nice to have some different banchan even though there wasn't that much of it. Hope to be able to try some of the other dishes next time like the Walnut Shrimp or the Spicy Chicken. Looking forward to it. Until next time!
