I found Spike's Bakery while searching for a bakery that sold tamales as I was desperately looking for tamales in time for Christmas. I decided to take my chances and called them on the night of the 23rd, and to my surprise, they were open late (until 10pm), and I was able to place an order over the phone for one dozen tamales. Fast forward to the next day when I arrived to pick up my order. The bakery smelled delicious. Ambiance is very casual and very much a hole in the wall type of bakery. I saw they had a few pan dulce selections, but it seemed like everyone there was mainly there for the tamales, like me. The line was long, and it only got busier after I left. I picked up my tamales and immediately tried one when I got home, and OMG, WAS I SURPRISED! The tamales came individually wrapped and were SO moist, generously filled with meat, and the flavor was on point!! I got a dozen (half pork and half chicken), which turned out to be $30. I 1000% will be back for their tamales and might try their pan dulce next time.

We ordered tamales chicken pork and cheese. All were delicious and a good size too. The staff was also very friendly. They make good champurrado and their bakery bread is delicious.

Customer service was a plus for me. Was reading the reviews & was scared but was greeted by a nice lady. The sweet bread was average. The tamales was delicious and a good size. The masa was very moist & not dry. The inside of the tamales was decent. I'd have to say this place and Lesley's is almost tie. Lesley's tamales masa is not always moist but then again you get more filling inside the tamales but their customer service is rough when a certain worker is there (big girl with piercings). I will probably be going to both but this one is closer to me & id rather not deal with big lines & no parking

I have resided in SB for nine years and only recently discovered this establishment. Had I known of its existence sooner, I would have frequented it more often. The establishment in question is a bakery that produces fresh bread daily, etc..

This Mexican Bakery is 1 of 2 that are my favorite in San Bernardino. The bread is always fresh and has a very good taste. I believe it is owned and ran by a family because I always see the same people. Their customer service is great. Great business!

Best pan dulce in town and the tamales are amazing!!! Try to go early in the day as they sell out towards the night. My favorite are the elotes con azúcar. My mom loves their carrot cake slice. Yummy pan, great price and workers are friendly. They are very busy so don't expect over the top service as most workers are busy, but they are pleasant and friendly the few times I've needed help. We order their tamales every year for Christmas, place your order early if you try going day of good luck! They sell out fast.
