This is a very interesting small butcher's market. Their meat counter displays a vast number of beautiful meats that appear to be very fresh. Especially if you are looking for specialty cuts of lamb or goat, this should be a place to check out.They have several aisles packed with imported foods that cater to Middle Eastern tastes. You will find a nice variety of exotic spices, snacks, legumes, frozen prepared international foods, and most any other ingredients you would need and expect to find in an ethnic market for Middle Eastern cuisine.They are hidden in the far end of a non-descript, neighborhood strip mall that is easy to drive by and never give a second thought. But when it comes to putting on your chef's hat and trying out that exotic recipe you discovered on YouTube, this is the spot you will find your specialty ingredients.

I went here for the first time went straight to the meat department where there must've been at least seven employees in the back two Hispanic employees were arguing about a loan that hadn't been paid. It took him a while to finally acknowledge me because I asked if anyone worked here. I interrupted their argument, but I was just going to get some meat and leave so hopefully next time I go it'll be a better experience.

If you like fresh goat meat this is the place to go. Along with a whole variety of ethnic groceries, their butchery is very clean with helpful staff.

The business hours were stated as open until 8:00 p.m. There was only a limited amount of stuff for sale when we showed up. The experience was extremely unpleasant for us.

The freshness and quality of the chicken is fantastic and the prices are amazing; $3.29-3.99 per pound for boneless skinless leg and breast meat. They will cut up and skin whole chickens too. I have not tried the other meats yet, but I will be going back soon. It reminds me of an old fashioned butchery where the service is personal. The market was chaotic yet fun. Full of great things at reasonable prices. Everyone, including the customers were pleasant.

As a Muslim visiting California for the first time, I was struggling with the lack of Halal food, but since a friend recommended me to shop through "Spice It Up", the suffering went away, I found in their store all the Halal beef, lamb and chicken I wanted with high quality, in addition to the spices and vegetables that people use in their food in my country Egypt and the Middle Eastern countries, and which were not easily found in other stores.The staff is hospitable and helpful.. and the prices are very reasonable.. Thank you very much to "Spice It Up" for making my stay in California easier and more convenient.
