Just like everyone else, oh how I miss Soupplantion. Same setup as Soupplantation/Sweet Tomato. I travelled almost 20 miles to come to this place. There was a 30 minute wait to go in. A couple of things I didn't like about this place was the glass on top of the soup, it should be flat, shorter, smaller or less of n angle whereas when you get the soup, you don't have a hard time trying scoop the soup into your bowl. The butter should be softer where you spread your butter to the potato or cornbread. The tortilla soup: I'm not a expert or a cook but the soup is watery. Shouldn't it be a little bit creamy or thicker than what they have currently? They should have put a knife tied to a string next to the potato station. When I asked for the receipt, the cashier said that their printer isn't working. A few minutes later, he gave me the receipt. When he gave me a receipt, it was the wrong receipt. Other than that, it's not a bad place to get lunch. I paid almost $20.00 dollars for my lunch with water. This place has a lot of potential to bring back the nostalgic memory of Soupplantation. When they work out the kinks, I'm sure they will be fine. Will I be back? Yes, of course.

My family and I visited Soup n Fresh on a rainy day with my party of four. In total, there were only six people waiting. The hostess was very kind and mentioned that she would normally ask guests to wait outside, but given the rain, she felt bad. However, her manager came over and insisted that the line had to move outside. When someone asked if they had a system to send a text when our table was ready so we could wait elsewhere, they were told no. I refuse to spend over $100 of my hard-earned money at a place that treats its patrons this way--especially when there were only six people waiting.

The buffet area was poorly designed and extremely compact, making it difficult to navigate. The seating was disorganized, and everything felt cramped and uncomfortable. As a party of two, we were given an incredibly tiny table that could barely fit our plates, and throughout our meal, servers and other customers were constantly brushing past us. The overall layout and food accessibility were frustrating and far below the experience I'm used to at the Rancho Cucamonga location, which is much better in comparison.Additionally, I noticed there was no designated dessert area at this restaurant. Overall, the layout and organization felt poorly conceived.I will not be returning to the chino hills location

Stopped by on a Monday 2/24/2025 around 2 pm and it wasn't busy inside and was surprised to see no line out the door like the rancho location. The workers are constantly making salad and so it's good to know that the salad was not sitting there for long. People are constantly coming to the table to take your plates away so that helped us with having space at our table.I deducted a star because some trays were dirty with lettuce greens stuck to them. Not sure how thorough they are with cleaning back there.

This place brought back so many memories!! Their ranch dressing is just like Souplantation's & a lot of the toppings were very similar. The lettuce wasn't as fresh as I'd have hoped (some pieces were turning red) but everything was mostly fresh! Their chicken soup was great & their blueberry muffins were so good. The Mac & cheese was similar to what I remember at Souplantation also. Only thing is that they need to work on restocking their food items more quickly! The muffins were out for a while along with some other items. They're still new so I'm sure they will work it out!

"Souplantation" is back! This used to be a Souplantation location and now it's the same food but with a new name and company. Plenty of parking in the huge plaza! We arrived 9:50am on a Sunday and waited 45min before being inside. It was HOT waiting in the sun so bring an umbrella because it saved me! The staff were all friendly (from the manager asking us to wait behind the pole line to the woman at the register and the guy collecting plates/dishes you've finished)!! I will agree with the other reviews that I noticed the plates, bowls, and trays were not the cleanest (or dry) but it is kinda expected with a popular buffet place like this. And it wasn't dirty to the point I wouldn't eat. Just a few dried stains. What I didn't like the most, was the placement of dishes. You have to walk to the entrance to get more plates, bowls, or tiny plates whenever you want more food. Hopefully their system will improve more where there can be bowls by the soups again, bowls by the ice cream, and plates by the bakery so you don't have to bypass the line of people at the salad bar next to the line of people getting all the other type of foods! It was madness. They still had balloon decorations up from Valentine's Day and it was pretty! The effort was noticed and appreciated! The food was good! I really liked the soups, muffins, brownie muffin, and the alfredo pasta. All had good flavors and textures! My dad and husband really liked the mushroom cream soup (for all you mushroom fans out there)! I gotta say all the food tasted pretty similar or the same to what Souplantation tasted like (even down to the ice cream).

The day we've been waiting for since 2020 has finally arrived. So happy to see this old Souplantation location revived. Maybe it's just me but I feel like this location is closer to Souplantation taste than the Rancho spot. Everything that we used to love is here. Salad bar, soups, pasta, breads. Soups and breads tasted exactly like the classics, except their cornbread doesn't have corn in it, which was a hallmark Souplantation touch, in my opinion. Although I don't normally get the pasta I tried them this time and they were pretty much how I remembered, if not a little overdone. Service was almost too attentive. Staff was regularly coming around, cleaning tables but I'd say they can tone it down a bit. It was borderline harassment, but appreciated nonetheless. Line was huge. Granted we came on the holiday but I imagine this is gonna be as busy as the Rancho spot.

Review 18 of 2025Soup and Fresh just opened today - 2/16/25This location used to be Souplantation, but it was shut down during the pandemic. This is the second location in Chino Hills. The other location is in Rancho Cucamonga. It took us about an hour of wait. We enjoyed our salad bar, soup, pizzas, baked potatoes and sweet potatoes, pasta, fruits, drinks/tea, and ice cream.Ambiance is exactly the same it was before. It very nice and clean. The staff were all friendly. The service was excellent.

Was going to Soup N Fresh but check out this line. It's windy and in the 50's out there. We went to The Boiler instead. Review for the Boiler coming up.
