Wow! What a great find. I was meeting a friend for lunch and found Sed Cocina on google maps. So we decided to try it. Let me tell you! You won't be disappointed, the food and drinks are delicious. I had the huevos rancheros with steak, the sauce was exactly what you expect full of flavor and not too spicy. The steak and eggs were cooked to perfection. We asked for spicy sauce on the side and my favorite was the oil based one. The staff were welcoming and attentive and food/drinks were brought to us in a timely manner. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the food items.

Decided to come here after craving some chilaquiles and their pictures looked super appetizing and delicious. The place is located in a parking lot with other businesses but there is plenty of parking which is great. The restaurant is not too big but not too small, although if it gets busy I can definitely see the wait times being long. The service was a little slow, we had to keep asking for refills even though there were just us and 2 other people in the restaurant, the staff was nice though. But let's talk about the food, the real deal.I ordered the birria chilaquiles which were good but not spicy at all.. and I can't handle spicy that well lol. I definitely wish the chilaquiles sauce had a bit of a kick to it but that's just my preference. The birria was a little on the salty side but overall pretty good with a big portion of the birria. The waffles were also good, if you like maiz then you'd like these as it has a strong maiz taste.Over all I think this place was pretty good but it wouldn't be my first choice to get chilaquiles.

Food is good. Waffle breakfast is good. Home fries were a bit dry but okay. Cafe de olla was okay. Service is decent, friendly and welcoming waitress. You can tell they are very busy and you do wait a good almost 30 min for your food, we ordered an appetizer and never received it however they did recognized it before we even mentioned it. Small little place inside but nice. I'd come back.

Food was okay. The portions are good and the menudo was good. The concha's tasted a bit stale. The cafe de olla was okay, it needed a bit more coffee and the green salsa that came with the birria tacos was a little too salty. Service was not great. We got called in almost at 1pm. We had been waiting an about 40 minutes to get seated because it is a small place. Food came out quick however, when we finished I was still drinking my coffee and there were people in another table that had been there since before we even got seated and we were asked to leave. We understand it's a small place but we spent maybe 20 minutes eating why couldn't you rush the people who had been there since before we even got there. Please warn your customers you're going to be rushed out the door. Or have a sign saying there's a time limit.

Delicious, traditional, and modern Mexican cuisine. SeD Cocina was such a memorable eating experience.I took my mom and fiance out to breakfast one weekend and I am STILL thinking about the food! Our waitress was kind, informative, and most of all, friendly and excited to tell us about the best dishes and what makes SeD Cocina different and special. I was impressed, and she excited the table's energy to eat!I ordered the potato tacos, and they were AMAZING! Crispy, flavorful, hot, and not oily! It's a dish I remember fondly and crave. My mom also really enjoyed her chilaquiles. I forgot what my fiance got, but he enjoyed his meal too!I loved the different salsas they brought out to the table. They each had distinct flavors and heat. One salsa, I believe, was made with peanut oil (that was so savory and good). NEED to come back and try their other dishes! I highly recommend SeD for a nice brunch or if you are looking for a bit of elevated Mexican food.

SeD is located in a small plaza in Montclair. I stopped by around noon on a Saturday and there were a handful of parties waiting in front of mine. For a party of 2, we waited about 30 minutes to be seated, although not all tables were occupied and perhaps the current staffing couldn't accommodate the amount of customers. Once seated, the ambiance in the restaurant was warm, well-lit, and with friendly staff. At times, service seemed behind with ordering and providing utensils. SeD serves breakfast all day and also has a lunch menu. I ordered the 2 shrimp tacos which comes with flour tortillas, beans, and rice which were delicious! The shrimp tacos were divine, perfectly cooked and paired well with a crema and the typical taco accoutrements. The beans had a subtle spice that was delightful. I ordered the café de olla which was on the pricier side ($5.99), but it was sweet, had a strong cinnamon flavor, and unlimited refills. Overall, the dishes and drinks were great for brunch, with mostly good service. There's plenty of parking available. If in the area, I'd return to try their breakfast dishes!
