Saet Byul Asian Market

This tiny store is a gem in Riverside where there are few places to grab essential Korean staples. They have fresh veggies (bean sprouts, cucumber, green onion, squash), seasonings (sesame oil, gochugaru, doenjang, kewpie mayo), and all variety of frozen/instant products (frozen bungeobbang, mandu, maxim instant coffee). I also have to mention their store-made products, fresh kimbap, marinated galbi and banchan. The galbi is good quality, has a well balanced marinade and is packaged extremely neatly, with extra wrap to prevent leakage. The back parking lot is small but never too full. This is my go to whenever I want ddeok, shin ramen or ingredients for a korean recipe.

Do not let the outside fool you this place is legit. They are a small mom and pop shop with a small curated collection of goods. They carry most of the Korean or Asian Food staples as some of the larger competitors. They also have the best in house made sides. I go for my chili needs and for the cucumber kimchi. The service is great and they are also so nice here. Support your local businesses because they are seriously amazing. They have great meats as well if you want something prepared. It's a must for any Korean staples or for your Korean BBQ night at home. It's a hidden local gem for sure. Be aware card payments are 10 and up so if you are using card just keep that in mind. They are also a great snack spot with lots of fun treats from ice cream to candy. The parking lot is small but don't let that stop you. If you're a local it's a must.

Found this little spot, the parking is in the back but maps will take you to the front. My fave part is they also have pickled radish and cucumbers, most Asian markets don't. Best part, it's super yummy and authentic compared to store brands!!

Came in one hour after they opened. Fresh KimBap just came out. Grab 3 right away. Shopped for Jjangmeon, topokki and pastes. I will try their fresh kimchi radish and kimchi cucumber. The store has a variety of mostly Korean and Asian must haves. Today is Friday and maybe they will be stocking up soon since there is only one of the one I want to get. Fresh meat products ? I did not see it today or maybe they don't really carry it. Relatively clean store and organized. The cashier is very friendly.Wow, just shared Kimbap with my daughter in the parking lot. Very yummy and really light. Two of them are pictured here since we ate the other pack.

Looked a bit sketchy at first but they proudly displayed their A rating. I went in for some pantry items that I needed for my chicken noodle soup and a few other items I make. It's very hard to find the proper noodles in regular grocery stores. It's a help yourself type place. I don't believe the lady spoke English. We picked up some items that were Hello Kitty for my granddaughter.

I love this lil market so much! They don't have a huge variety, but they always have what I need. I get my BCD tofu packs, some produce, sliced pork belly, and blue swimming crabs (to make korean marinaded crab) from here. I've also really enjoyed their fresh and prepared food: kimchi pancakes, japchae, and banchan- pickled fish cake and radish.also a side note- they take EBT

This a very small korean grocery store. In a pinch, they may have the things you need. Owner is very nice and staff are helpful. Don't expect an Hmart because this is not that. I did get my marinated pork. I have yet to try it. Pricing is not bad.

Great hidden spot. So fun to look at everything they have. Came here because I was looking for spicy rice cakes and found them on Yelp. Found them right away, so happy. Will definitely be coming here often and can't wait to try new things :)
