Rodrigo's Mexican Grill

I've been coming here since it was Don Jose's as a child, and now my husband and I (along with our newborn daughter) frequent this amazing restaurant. Service is always incredible, the food is delicious and consistent, and it's a chill spot. We love their chips and salsa, and I appreciate that they use fresh shredded cheese on everything. It's probably our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area! It's good for groups or a quick meal. You can even watch a sport game at the bar or in one of the dining rooms. My go-to is always the 1, 2, or 3 item combo which comes with delicious rice and beans. I love their cheese enchiladas and shredded beef tacos. Their portion sizes are perfect - you won't leave here still hungry. The best part is the service. Everyone here is always so friendly and accommodating. They will bring you more chips, salsa, or drinks before you even need to ask. I would recommend this spot without hesitation (and you'd likely see me there)!

Located in Best Plaza with plenty of parking, this place is spacious! We came in for a late lunch on a Saturday and we clearly beat the lunch crowd (came in at around 2 p.m.). The place was quiet with a few people eating. 80s music playing on the background.We got served complimentary chips and salsa. Salsa was good -- just the right amount of heat.We ordered:Seafood Chalupa Salad - Shrimp, crisp greens, mushrooms, avocado, bacon, hard boiled eggs, cheese, and mile jalapeño vinaigrette dressing, $19.50. The shrimp were nicely seasoned! The dressing was just right. I normally ask for the dressing on the side but forgot. Was glad that the salad wasn't swimming in dressing. The greens were just iceberg lettuce.Fajita Burrito - Steak or chicken (we had steak) - Grilled onions, pepper and refried beans, flour tortilla, topped with red chile sauce, guacamole and sour cream, $20.50. It was just ok for my companion. It was too much of the refried beans and bell peppers. I tasted the fajita steak and it was ok. Service was good. Our server was attentive, checked in on us a few times once we got our food.

The food is so fantastic and so authentic when I first went to them, they were located at corona close to my work and that's when I discover the taquito plates, I just couldn't believe how yummy they were. Now they branched out to Rancho Cucamonga and still my husband and I favorite place for Mexican food.

Chili Verde: 2-star. Pork is on the salty side, rice is hard, but beans is tastyBeef Fajita: 4-star. (Lunch special which is only $12!)Beef is tender. It's served w/fresh Salsa, Sour cream and guacamole. Corn tortillas is cold-averageFlan is not so sweet as of what I prefer. Friend liked her black coffee.Server Luis is very attentive and friendly.

Fast food really friendly.I asked for more salsa they where super nice about it. The only reason I'm rating four instead of 5 is because the waiter would disappear when I needed water. But they where super nice otherwise

Very Disappointed! I have eaten there mainly when it was know as Don Jose"! Really changed! Very pricey...Quality was way DOWN! I spent 1$140.00 and had 6 quests. Each plate was in the $24 to 18 dollar area. We all had water and two guests had diet cokes. Everyone one of us were very disappointed of the hefty price and the lack of quality of each of our plates. Embarrassing to me! i was the one to recommend this place. Don Jose"s was the best several years ago! NOT ANY MORE! I'm done with Rodrigo"s Poor! Service was Ok! JUST WAY TO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT WE GOT! NOPE! If I were you I would try another place that still appreciate there customers!!! We ate there on Sunday February 2nd. near or about 5:00, PM.

Great service, staff pleasant and attentive. Food and portions were great.Ambiance was pleasant

Food over all was 3.8/5 the cheese enchiladas were really good. But the barrio I had was just way to much meet. So it just over powered all the other flavors. Salsa was 4.3/5 I enjoyed if so did my wife. The restraint is very clean and good atmosphere. The served was 5/5 all around so polite and very nice. So fast with the food or refills. Didn't ask for more salsa and they have it out. Top notch service.

They make good drinks but some of the staff acts stupid, when you buy a senior citizen's meal portions are limited, and when you request a dinner, the portions are limited also , but the senior meal should not have more substance, than a regular dinner with two items, it cost $18÷and the senior is $8+, Ask the server to bring a little bit beans and rice because it is a regular dinner, and he acted like oh he said he had to go talk to his boss, He eventually brought more rice and beans but I think the mill should already have came with itI'd given 2 and a 1/2 sometimes the service is good and sometimes the service is not there at all
