Richie's Real American Diner

5 STARS!!! it's been years since I've visited Richie's Diner, and today was my lucky day. The stars alligned. Driving home to SD, from the IE, at dinner-time.I've been craving a baked potato, so I decided to call them before hand, make sure they still sold them, YES!!!My steak was seasoned and cooked perfect. My baked potato was perfect. And my salad was cold and perfect.Very attentive, genuine service by not just my waitress, but the hostess and the rest of the staff.I LOVE the 50's theme and all the nostalgic candy and beverages they sell.HAPPY customer!!!

Came here with my family and ordered a breakfast sampler and 3 kids chicken strips. The tri tip was cold when it got to my table. I finished my coffee and had to wave another waitress down (not our waitress) for a refill. Their berry jam is AMAZINGLY good, however they give you very little. I finished their portion on half a slice of toast, and couldn't get my waitress to come back to check on us. So I got up and walked over to the kitchen to ask for extra jam.The food was good, but considering how high their prices have gotten-their service side is lacking.

I love the style and 1950s vibe! It's nice to see that this place has kept its original decor and a lot of the same recipes. My dad absolutely loves the place and the nostalgia. The food is pretty good depending upon what you get. Sometimes it's not the best but it's not bad. Other times it's really good. Just like any other place but I think my favorite about this location is the desserts!We just try their cinnamon rolls for the first time and we will be ordering a pie for this weekend! I really do appreciate a place like this thing open but I do wish that they would work just a little bit on the menu and the food even if that means reducing some of the items to make it easier for them for quality. I would also change up the lighting or something in there to make it more bright and cheery but I think what they really need is just a nice energy cleanse in there. You get so many people coming and going it kind of leaves a little bit of a heaviness sometimes. I'm sure it has a lot to do with the passing of one of the owners who I hear was very nice! So I would say maybe just a little more upbeat energy would be awesome!Light a little incense in there at the end of the day to clear out all the heavy energy from the people. I know that sounds wild but trust me it works after working with the public for such a long time. We come here often with my dad so we will be back!

Large portion sizes . Had the breakfast sampler and everything was well cooked and flavorful. Friendly attentive service. Fun atmosphere with tons of great decor. Loved the old school candy available for sell. Came for brunch but definitely going to come back for lunch and shakes

Been seeing pics of their wood-smoked steak & eggs so we decided to try it out today. This location is on MHS Rd between the 15 & 215 freeways. Parking is non-existent so good luck with that!! The lot is very small considering the amount of traffic this shopping center gets. Upon entering this establishment the place was packed, but we were still accommodated. We ordered the 14 oz wood-smoked NY steak & eggs. Comes w 2 eggs, country potatoes, and toast. The steak was topped with a creamy pepper-butter. The first bite was delicious!! Right away, you could taste the smokiness in it's flavor profile. The steak was also quality and cooked perfectly to my liking, medium-well with its very pink middle and well seared outer crust. The potatoes were very flavorful and the eggs were cooked just how I asked. The English muffin was very good and came w a side of grape jelly, which was very pleasant and tasted like it was made in-store. I also got 2 cinnamon rolls to-go.**Pro-Tip: one cinnamon roll is $5.95, but if you get two, it's $7.95. Great deal!!The cinnamon roll was very good!! I like that the frosting was separate from the cinnamon roll and you'd put as much or little as you want on there.Service was very good!! Fidel was very fast at getting us our food amd refilling our drinks, whilst also being very helpful, pleasant, and friendly!Overall, this place is busy. The food is good, highly recommend the steak!! Next time I'll try the smoked rib-eye. A bit pricey but well worth it.

Was visiting Temecula for a wedding this past weekend and we were pleasantly surprised to see that Richie's Diner was close by and it sounded like a great breakfast option and I can confirm that it definitely is. I am from Los Angeles so it's great to see a retro, traditional diner in other cities that is very popular back home. They have a giant parking lot with tons of free parking and the inside is actually very large. They can host a lot of different size groups. They also sell many different types of candy in the front where the register is and our waitress and the entire staff was extremely friendly.They have an extremely large menu, larger than most other diners. Everything is also very fairly priced and what shocked me was how large portion sizes were. You will definitely not leave hungry and honestly, it has great value for what you get in return. Being our first time visiting we decided to try some of their classic items. I started with a Giant Cinnamon Roll to start that we shared and loved every bite of. For my meal, I chose the Country Fried Steak with a biscuit and jam on the side and both were fantastic. The steak was a large size portion, the biscuit was a true buttermilk biscuit, and the homemade jam with it really made the dish.Overall, we had a great breakfast and I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area and I would stop in again next time I'm in town.

Fun place to eat and lives up to it's "Real American" title. Decorated with hats from all of the Armed Forces and Vets. We visited with family here and the servers let us stay for a lengthy time.Clean, great food, friendly staff. I had an Apple Walnut Chicken Salad that was refreshing. Tried some of my son's milkshake that was huge and it was delicious. Rumour has it that the desserts are out of this world and by the looks of my sister in law's pie, I'm sure it's true!

Friday, March 22, 2024: We came for dinner with our grandson in tow after my doctor's appointment in the building next door.The restaurant was brightly decorated with Easter trappings throughout. As an Air Force veteran, I love their ode to the military as evidenced on their wall.We were seated right away at a booth. We were soon greeted by our exuberant and friendly server Gabriel. We both had the meat loaf dinner with iced teas and our grandson wanted his favorite: chicken strips with French fries and a strawberry milkshake.The meals were delicious comfort food we immensely enjoyed. Our grandson loved his food especially the milkshake! Gabriel was spot on anticipating our needs and was very fun to speak with. Kudos to this young man!Richie's Diner continues to be our go-to for comfort food although prices have risen considerably.

Such a cute little diner, food portions are very large and yummy! I got the croissant breakfast sandwich with country potatoes. Their new peach ice tea is really good. Our server Connie was so sweet.

I've been going to Richie's for years! While every time is awesome! This last trip I went with my sister and my nephew. Connie was absolutely amazing! Her service was the best! She was so sweet to my nephew showing him how her iPad works. She always made sure we had our drinks full. The ambiance was so nice and calm and no one got upset when my nephew got loud. It was one of the best trips to Richie's we have had.
