The food here has always been good. The service as well. It's not too far from home and is in our semi-regular rotation.

This review is for Ramsey Street Bar and Grille now occupying this space (I notified Yelp that it's a new place, crickets). What a great find we stumbled into. Basic bar and grill menu but someone in the kitchen cares about the quality. We split a French dip. Which was thinly sliced tritip on brioche bun. Tender but would have liked it a bit less done. Now let's talk about the fries! I saw a review mentioning that these are the best fries and ignored it, but guess what? The huge pile of steak fries was amazing. The friendly bartender told us it's a multi-stage process the chef has devised. They were even good leftover. He said the onion rings are awesome and on the rings, mushrooms and pickles they use beer batter from in-house brew. There are wings and burgers (I only snapped one side of the menu). He said the mixed basket is huge for sharing. We had several interesting socal microbrew ales. Some taps were down or they'd have 8 more. This is a clean and comfortable place, looks new/refreshed inside. Electronic darts. Pool table has its own room/nook. Outdoors has a bit of a patio off its parking lot. I think there are events many nights and they for sure have taco Tuesday and prob other. The bartender passed the time with us most congenially (was afternoon slow time). I wish it was closer to me as I'd love to return (still thinking if the fries a week later) but I'll for sure be stopping by when I pass again. It's very close to 2 freeway exits.

Stopped by for lunch the other day and it was pretty empty with only a few tables taken and one server working. Service was a little slow and took a while to get the server's attention. But the server was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We ordered a beer and a burger to share. The server misheard me though. I wanted the Station Signature Burger, but they gave us the Station Burger instead, which was fine because it was still tasty. It does get messy eating this because it fell apart so I ended up having to eat with a fork. Also they did not have many options for their tap beer. We were told they were trying to clear out their current selections so they can install a new system.

Diane and I went here for the first time to check out the food and ambiance. The ambiance was close to that of a dive bar, with a large bulldog on a long leash resting on the floor near the bar--until he got up and licked my shoe. Thank goodness he did not try to bite through it!Food was much better than the decor. But my Station Burger with Cheddar Cheese was not medium rare as requested (it was medium). Its ingredients of lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, avocado, mayonnaise, and meat tasted very good. But the whole edifice almost immediately started falling apart, including the burger patty. So I had to finish it with a knife and fork. Handcut French Fries were really good. And Ground Beef Tacos on Taco Tuesday that were a bit crispy were really more like soft street tacos, although I had requested hard and crispy tacos. Homemade salsa that accompanied the tacos was moderately spicy and interesting. Diane liked her medium Station Burger with Cheddar Cheese and Bacon, and especially the Fries. Service by Brooklynne was good, but the place was way understaffed. So she really had to spread her attention around the dining room and bar.XXX-1/2 stars overall!

Showed up around 6 and it was pretty empty. That was fine, we liked the little dive bar setting. They had a generous outdoor area. We ordered mostly appetizers and they let us know they were out of a lot of stuff but that's because they had a huge Halloween party last night that apparently got really busy! They still had tons of other things we wanted to try. We ordered a burger, fries, zucchini fries, avocado fries, and the fried pickles. My husband said the burger was good and we really liked the fried zucchini and fried pickles. They use thick pickles! Drinks were good and the service was excellent. The DJ even asked if we had any requests. We were only there a short while before we had to leave early (unexpected pick up for one of our kids) but we will definitely be back. The staff was great

I have no idea how this place has such a good rating. Unreal. Stopped by for dinner at 6:30 on a Saturday night. Only a few tables had people at them and a couple people at the bar. Slow by normal standards for a restaurant that time of night and especially on a Saturday. We walked in and stood for a bit before someone walked by and told us to sit anywhere. We looked around for a clean table to sit and and sat side by side on a bench seat that runs the length of the bar area. There were pub height seats on the opposite side of the table that aren't as high as the bench seat. I imagine this would be weird if we sat opposite of eachother to be sitting at different heights. The restaurant was cold and I left my heavy jacket on throughout the visit. Usually I get warm and would have to remove it when entering a building.A server dropped off menus and said she'd be back for our drink order. The menus were different in person with multiple dinner items either covered with permanent marker or white out. Approximately 20 minutes passed before the bartender spotted us and asked if we had been helped. We said no and he immediately came to take our drink order. Another 10 minutes passed. No drinks. Not usually a big deal but hardly anyone was in the restaurant and no one else was still waiting on service but us. We could see the bartender and server getting the cash from the tip jar and had not even considered our drinks or dinner order. We felt unwelcome like we didn't belong there. This place was like the twilight zone weird and had an eclectic patronage. I'm sure the experience will make for a good story someday. We walked out after 30 minutes, my husband politely told the bartender to cancel our drink order. The bartender hardly acknowledged him (husband told him twice). They legit didn't care that we were there or that we left. We found a nice little Italian place down the street. COMPLETELY different experience for the better. Do not waste a minute of your time at this place. Didn't even really see firefighter related decor. Just looked like a dumpy dive bar. If you want legit food at a firefighter owned restaurant, head down the 10 Freeway to ROC's Firehouse Grill in Palm Desert off Cook exit. Great food, big portions and firefighter themed throughout.
