This place is a must visit! I went to have dinner with my family yesterday. We ordered a lot of food and we can tell their food is a 100% authentic Thai. Food is so delicious with good ingredients and proper portions. Best Thai food that we have ever eaten in Chino Hills area. The service was very very amazing. (Wa), our server was very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and very helpful guiding us through the menu. He did a very good job!! The ambiance is nice and the restaurant is clean. We had an amazing experience here. Will definitely be back to try more dishes.

I love Thai food and was happy to find Phra Nakhon close to home! Not only was the food excellent, but the service was beyond belief. I dropped my wallet outside, and Candy (our wonderful server) found it and drove to my house to return it. I have a renewed faith in society! Thank you to Candy and the crew at Phra Nakhon in Chino Hills!

Clean Cozy little Thai place in corner of strip mall, perfect little place to stop by after hiking through Chino hills State Park area. Dishes were not overly sweet like other more Americanized Thai places. +1 Service was nice, friendly & prompt. +1They had fresh coconuts for drinks which you could drink from & then eat the meat inside. Yukmy & refreshing after a day of hiking +1Overall this little place is a must try hidden gem. =}

Currently my #1 Thai spot!A change of name/ownership is usually followed by a decrease in food quality, but not here! Been coming since before it was Phra Nakhon and the food quality has only improved. I'm a sucker for lunch specials at Thai spots, and while that got me through the door, the quality and consistency has kept me coming back. While the place is small, it feels cozy like you were invited for a home cooked meal.Accept the invite and try a plate!

Each time we've been to Phra Nakhon, we've received consistent quality and service. Very happy to find a solid Thai food option in our area!The restaurant is tucked in next to a couple other eateries and an apartment complex. It's a bit difficult to find upon first visit. However, the parking lot is sizable and finding a spot is not an issue.As for the ambiance, the inside of the restaurant is cozy and clean. We usually do not have to wait for a table and the restaurant can accommodate larger parties of 6-8.Service is always fast and friendly. Items come out relatively quick. In terms of dishes, my favorite has to be the Queen of the Sea curry. We also enjoy the calamari, Tom Kha soup, Thai crispy wings, and Thai BBQ chicken.Something to note is that their spice level goes from 1-10 BUT getting 1 does not guarantee that the dish doesn't have a kick. So if there's anyone in your party that doesn't like spicy flavors, possibly ask your dish to have zero spice level if possible.

9/10/24 You better believe it! An ROTD put this place on the map.... at least for me it did.After a long day of shopping & galavanting, enjoying my first Tuesday OFF, we got really hungry. We were just around the area & Yelp popped up & reminded me of my friend, Jagruti's ROTD yesterday. I was craving some Thai food.This place was definitely tucked away behind Wells Fargo next to a Chinese food joint & Sharetea. It was surprisingly small. It had 3 booths on one side, about 3 tables on the other side & on the middle, a couple of tables put together to accommodate a larger group. It's cozy. Parking can be an issue during busy hours.I always measure the caliber of a restaurant by what is is usually the popular vote or what I usually order. For Thai food, it's either pad thai or the Thai bbq chicken. For Hubby it's all about curry, usually Panang. I got the chicken & he ordered shrimp Panang & fried spring rolls.The food arrived in a good timely manner, piping hot. It's hard to beat the bbq chicken from the Original Thai bbq from Cerritos-coz theirs is very tender (fall off the bone!) & juicy with a signature flavor. This is not the case here but it is flavorful. Hubby's curry was phenomenal! The shrimp were plump & juicy. He asked for medium level heat & he said it was a really good spice level (I see what Jagruti meant by this). He ate his bowl of rice, 3/4's of mine & ordered another one. He finished the whole dish! He was definitely a fan!Our server, Natalie was friendly & attentive. She came by several times to ensure we have what we needed to enjoy our meal. This was a good visit.

.., 4/9/24: Rude & Unprofessional -0 stars Ate here earlier today and left disappointed. Came in with a hunger for Thai food after a friend's gathering nearby. Even though this restaurant has a few reviews it has much praise, so after browsing the other possibilities in the area we ended up choosing Phra Nakhon Thai Bistro. Upon entry my girlfriend and I liked the cleanliness & everything on the menu looked promising. Excitement started to add to our hunger. The server (possible owner) greets us and takes our orders. My girlfriend ordered her favorite shrimp Pad Thai while I got the chicken Pad Se Euw. As soon as our server put the ticket up we immediately hear the pans going to work, a good sign when you're starving. Within 5 minutes my girlfriend's shrimp Pad Thai comes out, presentation looked legit. It took another 5 minutes for my chicken Pad Se Euw to come out. All in all 10 minutes for both dishes to arrive which was impressive but also too good to be true.After our server dropped our plates off, she checked on the table in front of us, then before going back to the kitchen she asked us if everything was ok. I replied yes & so we began our meals. We both wanted to give the food a chance but after a few bites we were both disappointed with the lack of flavor & clumpy/mushy noodles. We love Thai food so we are familiar with how the consistency should be. The flat noodles for my Pad Se Euw were bland and broke apart easier than other restaurants due to the mushy consistency. The chicken on it was decent but not worth coming back for. The shrimp on my girlfriend's Pad Thai was the only thing that it had going for it. The amount of food on my girlfriend's plate caught the eye of our server as she passed us multiple times within the 30 minutes of our stay. I ate a little more than she did due to my hunger but the direction of our server's behavior led me to put my chopsticks down for she upset the both of us with what she had to say.She asked us if everything was ok due to the amount of food that was still sitting on my girlfriend's plate. My girlfriend had told her that she didn't like the Pad Thai due to lack of flavor & the way the noodles were cooked. Immediately our server became defensive & said, "Well why didn't you tell me earlier when you first took a bite? You said you were ok, so why didn't you tell me then, why now?". We explained that we had just gotten our food & that she asked us right after she dropped them off, how could we know that fast? We tried giving it a chance but just wasn't happy with our dishes. She then points & says, "Well they're (the cooks) aren't going to pay for it, you have to pay for it because I'm not going to pay for it! Pad Thai is our most popular dish. You both should've said something after the first bite. If you don't like it, I take it back but it's too late now and I'm not going to pay for it so you have to pay for it! So what are we going to do?" She really didn't give us a choice. She made it loud & clear that "she wasn't going to pay for it", never offered to replace the dish or not charge us for it. Walks off and starts speaking Thai to the cooks & laughs. Comes back & puts the bill in front of me. Still charges us for both dishes. After we paid & walked out she started speaking Thai again to the cooks and laughs. Who does that? Her defensive reaction to a customers feedback was met with her "not wanting to pay for the dish?" I didn't know servers had to pay the bills for uneaten food, is that a new thing? A reaction like that makes me assume she's the owner? Even still, who even says that? Rather than save a return customer she decided to not take responsibility for anything and still charge us for a plate of disappointing food. What a shame. Zero tip, zero class, & zero professionalism. If you decide to eat here, make sure you tell them if you don't like your food after your first bite because she won't pay for your dish lol.
