Pho Zone is located in Highland ca in a decent sized shopping center.Pho Zone is very well maintained and has a welcoming atmosphere. The decor is lovely.Employees/owners are very pleasant, welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The pho is ok, and it definitely could be better. As it tastes like they use bullion in it.So it was good enough to eat but not the pho we are used to.We opted for 2 bowls of their combination pho and 2 beef bones. The meats are generous and tender. The noddles are good.It just the broth. It has a very bullion/ msg taste to it.Until we got our beef bones that came with some broth.Could we really compare the broths as they were very different. The beef bone broth tasted so damn good, but it's not the same broth they serve with the pho.As the pho broth has a bullion/ msg flavor. Not the beef bone one it was delicious. If they had used that broth in our pho, we would have given this place 5 stars. We really love our pho, so we definitely know when places are either watering down broth or adding bullion/msg to make it stretch. They'd definitely be better off serving with their bone broth and not adding to it as it was yummy. We really wanted this to be our new pho spot, but unfortunately, because they used that bullion/msg stuff, we won't be returning.Got a response from the owner saying the broths aren't different but my husband and I agreed that they absolutely tasted different.

First time having pho and i couldn't have picked a better place. Inside it is very clean and nicely decorated with various tv's and light music playing. The cashier was very friendly and took my order right away. I ordered a chicken pho and an order of spring rolls to go. My order was made quickly and I made it back home in under 10 minutes. Opening the bag of pho, the aroma of the fresh ingredients filled the air. The broth was very hot as I poured it into my bowl. Overall, everything was delicious and fresh! Definitely coming again!

I've often said in reviews of similar places that Pho is one of the most perfect foods there are. You can spice it up and down according to your taste; can include any protein you like, or even go vegetarian. I can enjoy Pho when it's cold outside, or even when it's 115F. It's a simple food and yet has a very savory, complex taste. It's one of those foods that seems hard to mess up while making it.And yet, somehow Pho Zone has managed to do just that. Read on!Pho Zone is located in the Highland Crossroads Center, where Dickie's BBQ used to be. I was really looking forward to trying this place as I'm always on the lookout for good Pho spots. I was a bit skeptical, however, since Highland already has 2 other Pho spots; including one of the best places I've ever been to (Pho T&T). Still, about a month ago I decided to go in hungry and with an open mind.Upon entering the restaurant, one thing I noticed was this very lovely, vibrantly painted mural of what looked to be Vietnamese rural life along one of the walls. It was gorgeous! Looked around and at the cashier, there was an "Order Here" sign. So I dutifully went there and waited... and waited. Finally, a waitress/hostess came over and said that I can take a seat anywhere I wanted and order from a menu there. Ooooookay. I ordered my usual go-to combo: Pho with brisket/meatballs, spring rolls and Thai Iced Tea. Now I will say this, the Thai Iced Tea with boba was absolutely delicious! That being said, I noticed that my Pho came out within a matter of minutes, long before my spring rolls did. This was a little curious and made me wonder if all their Pho was pre-made. Usually, when I order the same thing in other Pho places, the spring rolls come out first and I'm usually halfway done with eating them when the Pho itself comes out.Anyway, I started eating my entre and noticed something very peculiar. The broth tasted... off! All I tasted of it was saltiness. Anybody who knows anything about Pho KNOWS the key to good Pho is in the broth, and in this case, it was weak, bland, and salty. I was also less than impressed by the fact that there were a TON of rice noodles in my dish, but maybe 6 small pieces of meat. *le sigh*Finally, the spring rolls came out and I was hoping this might be their saving grace. I was highly disappointed again. Firstly, the rolls themselves were very loosely packed and so would start to unravel and fall apart after the first or second bite. Secondly was the mandatory peanut butter sauce that comes with it. What a letdown this was. After tasting the first dip of the spring rolls into the sauce I realized it was made with way too much salt. So much so that I couldn't taste the peanut butter itself. It was inedible. I had to finish my spring rolls with some Sriracha sauce (which is yummy, too!)As a side note, I noticed as I was eating that the two waitresses on duty that day kept getting another customer's to-go order wrong, and said the customer was getting quite frustrated.Needless to say, I was quite disappointed by my experience here. In my opinion, they need a serious revamp of their recipes and cut way, way back on the salt. I don't think I'll be coming back. I'm fine with Pho T&T a mile away.

Stumbled upon this hidden gem! I'm a very picky pho eater and this place is now on my top 5. Very savory broth and the brisket was tender. Wife got the short-rib pho, she was impressed with the generous portion and flavor. Her favorite was the BBQ pork banh mi we shared. The roll was so soft in the inside and the perfect crispy touch on the outside, the pork was delicious. Our service was great and the ambiance was welcoming. Must give it a try, it won't disappoint!

This place is pretty darn good! We are close to two pho places and this was next on our list. It did not disappoint. The place is clean with amble seating. The staff is nice and welcomed us immediately. Our order was taken rather quickly. We had the oaxtail pho, the chicken pho, the ultimate bowl in a stone bowl, and #28. The 28 came with a delicious slice of veggie cake ( I had to ask what it was because it was that good). The cook came over to ask how the food was and our drinks were refilled plenty of times even though they were pretty busy.We will definitely be back!

Pho Zone has been a nice addition to Highland. The Pho at the Zone is full of flavor and very filling, with many options to fill out the Pho bowl.In addition to Pho, the Zone offers rice and vermicelli options too.On this visit I had Pho Option 11 that included thinly cut rare steak paired up with vegetables in broth. Of course, black basil, jalepenos, lime, and sprouts come on the side for adding to the Pho. Half the large bowl was enough for me for dinner, so the takeout bowl was appreciated and made for a great lunch the next day.Overall, prices at Pho Zone are reasonable, and actually quite good given the quality of the food and quantity that gives you a nice size take home for enjoying the next day.
