Pho Island

Was getting new tires and saw this place. Always looking for a good pho place since my favorite in my city closed.I had the tofu appetizer and it was great. I also had the Pho combination that included 4 meats. I picked the flank, brisket, tripe and tendon. It was really good. The broth was clean and very tasty. Sorry I did not take any pictures. Service was also great. Love the little robot that brings your food.

We been here like 3 times. So far based on what I have observed and experienced:Service because that's what we always look for. Went there one night and it really was not even busy at all. And this is not the first time this happened but The guy with the blonde hair always seems like he rather be anywhere else but there. Not very friendly at all.Food wise it's meh really. We really went there for the extra free food but since they removed it from their restaurant it's not worth it anymore. The pho soup has good flavor but the noodles were very over cooked. Also most pho restaurants give you extra soup when you just ask for it but this place is stingy. Not even a small bowl for soup. I found it to be very weird because all the pho places I been ALWAYS give extra soup when you ask for it. Giving 2 stars due to lack of better service. Food is mediocre. Not worth coming back anymore in my opinion. Much better going to pho n mor.

It was my first visit to this restaurant since I had heard good things about them and I was craving Pho.. I really enjoyed my food, and they had a specialgoing on so I got complimentary cheese wontons...I thought the robot that brings over the food was super cool and reminded me of the movie, "Wall-e"..The restaurant is spacious with plenty of parking...When you pay your bill, you have to go all the way to the back of the restaurant to pay it which I found it to be weird...I would go back for sure to try different items off of their menu..

I was shopping at Chino Hills and felt like having soup there. I saw Pho Island across the street so I googles it. The first pic was Bun Bo Hue so I was excited because that's my favorite Viet dish is BBH. I do have some expectation since this is in Chino Hills and Chinese loves BBH. The menu was also exciting because there are many dishes that a normal Pho place wont have. However, the BBH did not meet my expectations. First of all, the noodles were WAY overcooked that when I used choppistick to pick them up they almost broke. Secondly the pork leg piece was a good portion but lacked of favor and freshness. The broth itself was decent with a kick of spice to it. Overall the BBH was not worth the drive to Chino Hills for that.

Ordered a beef pho and lemonade soda for my order during lunchtime. This is in the same plaza as Costco but to the side. I believe this place is fairly new and they do serve up quite a tasty pho with flavorful broth. Since knowing about this place I have been here three times already within a couple of months. If you do enjoy a nice bowl of pho from time to time then I think this could be a place for you.

We came on a Sunday night, and got a combo bowl of pho (pick 3 meats). Pho broth was good. They were generous with the meat. Service was also good. There was a cute robot kitty to carry all the food, but the server still came over to help us. The pho was still good reheated the next day. Would come again.

Pho Island is a brand new pho establishment in these parts. My sister and I started with an order of eggrolls ($5.75 for 2). Descriptively - these sounded tremendously appetizing (crispy eggrolls made of ground pork, chicken, bean thread noodle, shredded carrot, taro, dried mushroom + onion) - but they were so skinny mini that you could hardly trace or taste any of the aforementioned ingredients. I ordered #92 ($17.75) for my entree. It's a rice dish that comes with grilled pork, meat loaf, and shredded pork skin. Of all the meats, the grilled pork tasted best - it had a bit of sweetness and the meat was quite tender. I found the meat loaf too porky tasting for my tastebuds. And the shredded pork skin, I know, is not for everyone, but okay maybe not for me too after this version. It was so thickly sliced that it became very unappetizing. I also sampled the combination pho ($17.75). The broth was so bland that I had to remind myself I was eating pho.They're running some specials right now - you get a free something or another if you spend a certain amount. This is a fun promotion to get more people to try more things.I'd give Pho Island a little time to settle before coming back.

The place was really clean. It had a few tables already being served. The food was okay not the best compare to the chino location. It seems it's missing something. Not quite sure what it was. But the pho was okay. Spring rolls seemed like just rice paper with just lettuce and shrimp. Not the spring rolls like any other pho place I've been. And the fried rice was so plain. Need to up the dish a bit. The service was like we forcing themselves to work or something. Need a little joy in service cause it just feels so down.
