Pepito's Drive In

Some people say there's a landmark but I'm sorry the flavors were not there. The only thing that was good. Was that kind of side of fries and that's just cause he had a lot of melted cheese. The environment was good. OK customer service overall would not be coming back.

Food is ok, service is NOT good. My sister and I are visiting from Arizona and we stopped here to eat. I wanted to go to Jose's Mexican Food off of Redlands Blvd in Redlands where the food is delicious and the service is ALWAYS great, but my sister wanted Pepito's. It's unfortunate that the experience was not good. Not only were we rushed but we were in the middle of biting our taco and the cashier lady interrupted it us told us they were closing we needed leave as they were locking the doors. I told the lady it was 5:52pm. Honestly, I was very disappointed and felt it was the worst experience ever received. My recommendation is that you go elsewhere to spend your hard earned money.

Service and food are AMAZING! The prices are amazing also! Best mexican food around! Glad my husband and I tried this place. We will be back!!

Food is always good my 2 options i always get is either deluxe Nachos or carne Asada fries . They used to serve in huge portions when they were just a small building. Then slowly they cut back on the amount they give you. Which makes sense since everything is so expensive now. Btw please get DoorDash!!

Pepito's was on my list to try.So we decided to stop in for some grub.Hubby got the Asada burrito combo with fries and drink.I got the enchilada and taco combo with a drink.Service was friendly and fast.Food was nice and hot.The inside of the restaurant is super clean and well maintained as well as the outside. Which is always nice to see! The food is not anywhere close to the best but not the worst Mexican food we've had.The one thing that wasn't good was the red salsa.Had zero flavor and it was super watery.Which was a bummer because it would have made the food way better if the salsa was good.If we come back I need to see if they make different types of salsas.

Not sure what is going on. The food and deals are great but this service?? Lily told us 30 minutes for 3 ground beef tacos because she has too many tickets for drive thru and then we asked if we could get out table cleaned and she threw the rag on the table and did one wipe, missing most of the table. I just decided to get napkins and clean it myself. She was rude and had three other separate customers that came in turned away. Whoever is this owner should know that this server is turning away customers and losing them clientele, meaning profit.

I tried to order the enchirito which was a picture I saw in the window of a burrito covered in enchilada sauce but I wanted just bean and cheese. The girl at the register said "you have to get meat". I said well can't they just pour some sauce over a bean and cheese? Her response was no, "I don't know why" so straight faced. Like., what? lol I just asked for the sauce on the side so I could put it on my damn self. There's always something when I come here but it's cheap and entertaining.

Delicious variety of real, fresh nutritious Mexican dishes, made with fresh vegetables, meats, and dairy, unlike processed fast food imitation Mexican food. Prices are practically the same as when I moved to Highland 25 years ago, including the daily 99 cent specials! Can you imagine that? 99 cent specials! Each day of the week a different item is offered for 99 cents, including bean and cheese burritos, Taco burgers, etc. My favorite is the Combo #3, which includes a tostada, a tamale, a cheese enchilada, beans, rice, AND a drink for only $ 9.00! Try the mild red salsa, and you'll be hooked. Their new building includes a drive-thru for convenience. The best pozole I have ever tasted is now available on Friday and Saturday. This is Highlands best kept secret. Give it a try. You'll be hooked too! The manager and staff are very friendly, quick, and accurate. Just look at the cheerful, festive, Christmas decorations I photographed. Their staff really knows how to show spirit.

Everything about this place is great and easy on your wallet! Must try if you haven't gotten the chance to yet
