We found Penfold's by accident. We went there last Wednesdaymorning for breakfast. Couldn't believe how reasonable the prices were plus the quantity of food you received. The staff are the dream team of restaurant workers! We were so impressed that we went back the next morning. The restaurant owner was making his rounds and stopped by to say hey and wanted to know how the food was. His son, the manager also came by to ask how everything was and to see if we needed anything. Oh if you drink coffee or anything else. You need to keep an eye on your cup, because it will never be empty. The staff really worked together as a team. Now the only complaint I can come up with, they close at 1400 hours. I almost forgot they have an awesome lunch menu. I think I will have their fried chicken lunch the next time we are in town .Also I think you might like it here because it is not in the middle of Old Town and you have great parking.

Drove up from SD to visit with a family friend that lives in Menifee. Years ago (20+) if we had a field trip or if the mechanics had a road trip, Penfold's Cafe was a favorite. There was five of us, 2 order of half sandwich + soup,chicken breast sandwich, mom + I spilt the crab omelette, and a side order of French fries. Our friend would take fries from another person plate. So I ordered the fries for him. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. One of the waitresses took someone order of biscuits and gravy by our table. Just by looking at them. I would recommend them. They really looked good. Our waitress was very understanding with our orders and very efficient. Brought back great memories, and had a great lunch/visit.

We were hungry and took the first exit and arrived at Penfold's. We ordered a greek omelet and a Belgian waffle. We were pleasantly surprised. Everything tasted great. One of the better omelets I have had in recent times. Service was outstanding. Good vibes all around.Will go again whenever I am in the area.

This restaurant was the best way to end our Temecula vacation. Comfort food always hits the spot after a weekend of drinking wine. I called ahead and asked if we can order lunch items at breakfast time and was told yes. Score! I grow tired of eggs and prefer lunch menus. Ambiance is that of a classic diner. My husband and I split the tuna melt with potato salad and the Ortega melt with housemade chips. Both were fantastic, but I'd have to say the Ortega melt with chips stole the show. I love thick strips of Ortega chile, and this sandwich was so flavorful. On the way out, I fell in love with the stuffed animals, and got myself a pineapple plush. Overall, service and food were fantastic and we will be back.

Penfold's Café is conveniently located off the Rancho California Rd offramp and has ample parking. It is in easy walking distance of the Old Town shops. As you can see from my inside pic, it has a homey/nostalgia décor. Our waitress was incredibly observant and efficient. You can pay new school, via a VR code and pay apps, or old school at the front register.We started with their Granola Sundae (no ice cream - just Greek yogurt). You can see from my pic the generous amounts of goodies in this Sundae: fresh fruit and crunchy granola. It tasted as refreshing as it looks. Not to be out done with healthiness, we shared their Corned Beef Hash and Eggs (BTW it came with 3 eggs). As you can see in my pic, my eggs came as ordered. The corned beef had that requisite tang and I loved the crunch of it being browned. Their seasoned home potatoes were good. The right mix of peppers and cubed potatoes with ample season salt. You won't leave hungry after this breakfast.

Outstanding breakfast at Penfold's this morning. I ordered the Cinnamon Roll French Toast Combo. It was really good and it is huge! My server Savannah gave great service and kept my coffee and water filled! Highly recommend if you are in the Temecula area. Plenty of indoor and patio seating.

My friends and I stopped by Penfold's Cafe in a Monday for brunch with a big group. We were seated outside, and it was a bit cold. We asked our server if we could move closer to the heaters, and she set us up closer so we could be more comfortable.We were able to quickly order our food, and they came out fast as well. The serving size was very fair, especially for the giant cinnamon roll. I personally ordered the Eggs Benedict and really enjoyed the flavor of the hollandaise sauce. The home style potatoes were also nice and crunchy with good flavor to them. I got to try a bit of the mess, and it was really good. I'd say it seemed like the most bang for your buck to have all that good food in one plate, and the three friends that ordered it all had to-go boxes.I'd definitely recommend Penfold's for a quick, quality, and delicious brunch.
