Papa Zhang’s BBQ & Hot Pot

Fantastic authentic AYCE Chinese hot pot in Rancho Cucamonga! I came on a Friday afternoon and was seated very quickly. They have a good variety of soup bases, sauces, and toppings bar with seafood and fish. The soups are individual pots so everyone in your party can try a different flavor.The prices are reasonable as well for AYCE, though heads up that lunch is around 10 bucks cheaper.Our server Angela was very quick and attentive, usually by our table when she sees our plates of meats thinning out so we could order more. She also made great recommendations on the side dishes and meats we should select. We also loved the pickles from the sauce bar, so flavorful and crunchy but do be warned it's quite spicy!Ambiance is similar to Haidilao mixed with Shabuya. I would say Papa Zhang's (pronounced similarly as Papa John lol) is the current best hot pot in the IE. The selection is slightly smaller than Boiling World but the flavors are much better and more enjoyable. Will be back again and hope to see them be a permanent part of the community.Parking was easy, plenty of spots in the large shared plaza with Gens and 85 degrees.

My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday night and got seated right away. We got the basic AYCE for $38.95/person (Four cuts of meat were included in the basic AYCE). There was an option to add AYCE wagyu for an additional $25, but we opted out.There was a seafood/vegetable/noodle bar, sauce bar, and a small selection of desserts where we were able to walk up to at any time. The AYCE also included a small snack selection. Ice cream is also ordered with the server at the end of the meal (included with the AYCE price)I really enjoyed the seafood broth. However, I think their broth might be inconsistent because my boyfriend got seafood broth as well, but his had a stronger ginger flavor. Overall, the food was average. I would rather go elsewhere considering its price. Service was not great. It was difficult to get the server's attention even though there weren't that many seated tables.

AYCE hotpot: $38 for dinner and 25% off for lunch. Very clean, new restaurant with nice decor and furniture. Quick service to help us with our orders and refills of drinks. Meats and appetizers can be ordered and there is a buffet of self service for sauces, vegetables and seafood. I really wanted Tom yum broth and they were out along with the tiramisu that is advertised. I liked how they offer appetizers and a dessert along with the ayce menu. Overall, it was enjoyable and I would return!

Can eat barbecue and hot pot at the same time. The dishes are very fresh. The service of the waiter Coco is very thoughtful.

Went here for a late lunch in a cold day. Was surprised at all the offerings. Hidden away in a strip mall, a hidden gem to say the least. Seafood was fresh for it being on a bar and the spice bar was interesting to make concoctions for your hot pot sauce. Definitely coming back!

Accidentally reviewed a different restaurant when I meant to review this one. Fantastic food and great service. They ran out of Sapporo and gave us a free pitcher of beer . I'm in love!

I tried Papa Zhang's Hot Pot & BBQ today for an early dinner with my mom today. We got the All You Can Eat option for $38.95/each. Granted the time was early, (4pm), but the place was empty. Expected as their grand opening was just the 21st. My mom ordered the mushroom broth and I got the spicy one. My mom loved hers, mine was also delicious. The vegetable and seafood bar were both full and fully stocked of their offerings. Their sauce bar was also great and full. The meat portions were on the smaller side though. But I guess it varies or is expected with AYCE spots. But she also wouldn't bring us any more servings of the meat until the meat we had was in our pots cooking. We had a few bowls of steamed rice and their wagyu beef fried rice was also really good. They had two waitresses working and aside from having to wait a bit between the meat servings, I have no other complaints. I hope they do well and stay open. I did accidently leave my phone there and realized it when I was already in my driveway. They not only kept it safe for me, but also put it on the charger, lol 4/5 stars, will likely come back again.

This place is a real hidden treasure! The food here is just amazing. The meat is really fresh, the marinades are full of flavor, and the variety of hot pot broths is outstanding. The combination of BBQ and hot pot is a great idea, and every dish is cooked to perfection.Big thanks to our server, Angela. She made our dining experience even better. She was so friendly, always paying attention, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her recommendations were on point, and she kept checking to see if we were enjoying our meal. Her great service really left a deep impression!The restaurant is very clean and quite roomy. The atmosphere is lively but comfortable, making it a perfect place for a great meal. Considering the high quality of the food and the big portions, the prices are really reasonable. All in all, this is a wonderful place for a fun and delicious meal. This is a new place I discovered for all you can eat hotpot. There are different types of soup base and I tried the spicy soup, it's good and spicy. The food here is fresh and have a bunch of selection. our server Sophia helps us a lot, she explains how to order and recommends us some food and soup base to get started. The restaurant is very decent and clean. The floor is not oily and food bar always remains filled even there's a lot ofOverall it's a great experience .
