Palapas Brunch Stop

I recently visited Palapas Brunch Shop with friends for a Galentine's Day brunch, and we were all blown away by the delicious food! I ordered the Tamales Divorciados and homemade chocolate, which were absolutely divine - 10/10!Our server was also top-notch, consistently checking in to ensure our group had everything we needed.I highly recommend Palapas Brunch Shop for both date nights and brunch gatherings. We can't wait to come back!

I would put 0 stars if I could. Upon arrival, we noticed a important notice stating that there is a 90 min sit down time limit, which was a red flag when it comes to service. It took close to a hour (maybe 45 min) to get our food one plate at a time. Most restaurants bring out the food all at once or back to back. But this place takes forever!! Once we got our chilaquiles, we took two bites. They charge $3 for just one egg which is ridiculous. The chilaquiles tasted like hard tortilla chips with a splash of salsa(not good at all). Then my boyfriend noticed 2 eyelashes on the plate. I immediately called the closest server I saw and she took the plate (didn't say one word to apologize, offer alternatives, offer to bring out a fresh plate). All she said was "oooohh", took it and left. No apologies, no replacements, nothing. Which is the first time I have ever experienced something like that. I asked for my check as soon as our food arrived because I was over it! She came back with our check and removed the chilaquiles. I wasn't going to ask for a new plate but I expected her to at least offer a new plate so we paid to fix the issue. We took a few bites of the torta we ordered and left. Let alone, in the hour of waiting for our food, no one came to check on us or refill our small cups of water while sitting in the sun. The only time we had a employee come check on us was when the host came by and WE had to ask for more water. We kept our empty cups of water at the end of the table as an indicator for a good amount of time and no one came by to help. Keep in mind, 2 other tables outside with us also had their orders messed up. (There were only 4 tables --3out of the 4 tables had problems with their experience today). Unbelievable and never coming back. I should've just gone to Taco Bell or kalaveras lol.

I LOVE LOVE this place. Brunch there is amazing!!! The staff is very kind and the service is great. When it comes to trying new things, I hesitate. Well TODAY was the day that I decided to try something new from there memu. I got the enchiladas Michoacanas. It comes with 3 enchiladas, potatoes & 4 pieces of chicken!!! Now if you're looking for a plate that has a full bottle of salt, this is the plate for you!!!!! I was not able to eat the plate!!! Thankfully I had a ordered a side of rice and beans, which again the beans were also super salty!!! The rice was the only thing I was able to eat! p.s.I'm rating the plate a 1 NOT the restaurant it's self.

Yuck! I had high hopes for a local place but this one definitely wasn't worth it. It's pretty small which is fine but they have crammed way too many tables in there like a pizza place. I hear all the posts saying how busy it is but I have never seen it busy or heard anyone say anything good about their experiences. I gave it 3 tries and I just can't. The food isn't good, not a lot of flavor, and I'm pretty sure it was made hours before we ordered it. The place is a restaurant but the food, ordering and service is like fast food with the poor quality included. The price is like a restaurant but the service is horrible and it's expensive mediocre food. Just down the street has too many Mexican food choices that are amazing and this won't be on the list.

This is a great spot for brunch and happy hour! Their guava mimosa is great and they have the best margaritas!! I tried their Caramel banana French toast and it was perfect! The staff is friendly and they play the best music plus there is a band on Sunday!

Friends wanted to have Brunch here, so we arrived. As you enter the restaurant is nice and small and has lots of people one wall has a dead skull on a lady which was a turn-off. There is one thing to remember before you come here. Check the menu, and hours of operation as they do close on Sundays for 2 hours after Brunch to get ready for Dinner, they have limited menu on certain days. I ordered the Green Chilaquiles with 2 Eggs and Diced Potatoes covered with Sour Cream and Cheese. The potatoes were hard and needed additional cooking, overall it, was a good Brunch and my drinks helped the meal taste better. Lol everyone was satisfied with the food they ordered.

With the amount of people outside waiting to be seated I assumed this place was very popular. Don't get me wrong the food is good but well get to that in a minute. The place is definitely overcrowded and we went at noon on Sunday and the live music is a bit overwhelming because it's such a small place that the tables that are crammed near the band are gonna be yelling the whole time and your gonna leave with your ears ringing. We had a pretty big group of about 14 people and from the time the first dish came to the table the last person got served about an hour later. Half the group finished their food by the time the other half got their food.The foods good but the prices don't reflect it. We paid about $130 for 4 people and that's with an 18 percent tip added onto our bill which was split 3 ways. Just a heads up the sodas are bottled soda which is $6 and cans so no refills on anything but water..ps they overcharged me for an extra horchata so check your bill before you leave.. The waiters did not check on drinks unless you asked for more water or anything else. I'm glad I tried this place but won't come back.

We had a good experience with Leo and have made another visit. Each time has been a great experience. The place is small but packs a punch with its food and ambiance. I highly suggest it and the service was great!

insanely expansive for a place that used tomato sauce for some chilaquiles. And does not post prices on food menu. Yes I can afford it but will never eat here again for a whitewash Mexican food. $75 for 2 little plates. No thank you. Food looked good but TASTELESS

Where do I even begin, I've been eyeing this place for quite some time and so today, we decided to stop by around 7:30pm. We walked in & there was 1 party inside sitting down. We stood awkwardly around, still no one came out. After a few minutes, we decided to leave because what kind of business doesn't even check on the door or their current customers?Very disappointing
