I LOVE small, family owned businesses like Secret Sammich ! This location is somewhat hidden as the name of the restaurant is not on the outside but rather a deli sign - it gives it a cool, speakeasy vibe and is totally a hidden gem (that used to be a liquor store I might add)! Upon entering you'll see a nice selection of Italian pastas, sauces and wines that you can purchase after dining! I think the food here helps you to feel inspired so it's fun to look at the items and ponder what you could make at home ! I tried several items and the pork chop with apple chutney was my favorite but I can't leave this review without mentioning the pizza because WOW ! Everything is so fresh and you can tell the chef puts his heart into his food ! Service was very friendly and helpful with all my questions. They transition at night to Owen's Italiano so you'll find dinner items after 4:30! Food was delicious , I think this is a great spot for a double date to enjoy good food, vino and conversation!

January 23, 2025 Dinner takeout (online order)Calabrian Chili WingsTaste alright, tender, not overcooked.Southern Italian Sausage Pizza , Add House Salad ($4)The Calabrian chilies do take the pizza to another level. The pizza is not round, more like leaf shaped. The longer side is about 11", and the shorter side is about 9".Although the pizza was good, but found out the house salad was missing when I got home.Rigatoni Bolognese , Add Green Salad ($4)Tasty meat sauce Bolognese. However, the green salad was also missing.TiramisuOnline menu description: Sweetened Marscarpone Layered with Espresso Soaked Ladyfinger Biscuts, Finished with a dusting of CocoaIt actually had a sour taste, not sure if it was gone or some kind of sour rum was used. Personally do not enjoy it much. There was also a $4 non-cash payment when ordering online. No pay-in-store option available.

Wow just wow! This place is so good. It is like an old speakeasy. You would never guess that hidden in downtown Chino California is the best sandwich shop. My friends and I stumbled onto this place. We say online that they had good looking sandwiches and pasta. We walked into the place and a large party was inside and there was no sign saying secret sammich. We walked out and went around the back thinking there was a secret entrance. We checked the address and walked in again and walked up to the counter and found menus for the secret place. Now what to order. I ordered an Italian job and a coke. Since they had a large party they seated us next door in an enclosed very nice and airy patio with nice music. What showed up next was amazing. I have never seen such large amounts of meats on my sandwich. One bite and I was hooked. The food is so good and the owners and staff are incredible.Trust me try this place and you will thank me later. We will be back and be bringing friends.

Our favorite sandwich stop. Close to home and open for lunch and dinner most days. What makes this place special is the food is freshly made to order. Not mass produced and warmed up. We love to come in for the different weekly specials. The sandwiches never miss and the pasta dishes will take you back to grandmas house. They have many items in their mini grocery area, hand selected wines and fresh made pastas, salads and desserts.

The service was great and food was delicious! Unfortunately we're out of cannolis when we went so we will have to conveniently go back for another sandwhich soon and hopefully try out the cannoli. We placed an order for 6 large sandwiches and waited less than 15 mins. Everyone enjoyed their choices.

I finally got to try this place and I have to say I was not disappointed! I ordered the Fuggetabout dip and it was delicious! My sister ordered the Italian and she was happy with that as well. Next time I am trying the Porchetta sandwich.

I have had this bookmarked for some time and we decided to give it a try 2/17.I can see how parking may be challenging during the week bit there are many nearby lots if you don't find street parking.Restaurant is quaint and for a Saturday night they were pretty busy. My fellow Yelpers have raves about their sandwiches so that's exactly what we ordered and shared. We split the meatball sandwich- which is a definite must try for its amazing flavors, marinara sauce crisp roll. We also shared the Gabagool which may be my favorite with the spicy capicolla, soft roll and dressing. We save room for dessert- and highly recommend their canoli. Definitely a must try if you're in the area!

Flavor: 5/5 - This sandwich spot is my absolute favorite. The sandwiches are bursting with flavor, and the menu offers a delightful diversity.Price: 4/5 - Considering the homemade nature of everything, the price is reasonable, though slightly on the higher side.Quality: 3.5/5 - Many items are homemade with fantastic recipes. Some ingredients are organic, but not all. The status of additives and cooking oil quality is unknown.Service: 5/5 - The person who took my order was incredibly kind and helped me navigate the menu seamlessly.Ambiance: deli, Italian, and quaint.

I usually come here since it's near the library. I tired the muffuletta ($16) which is chopped olives with Italian meat and cheeses. Very heavy in the olives but I'm a fan of it. The portion was good, the bread was not soggy. I also brought their Soprano for my mom for lunch. It came with turkey, prosciutto, sliced Fuji apple, brie cheese, and balsamic reduction ($16). My mom said it was fine, she's not a fan of brie and balsamic which was too strong for her.The staff was nice and the place was clean.

Let me start by saying the the young man that took our order was so nice. We got there at exactly 4:30 as they were opening for dinner service and we were planning on just picking up food to take back to our hotel. We asked for utensils and they accommodated us nicely. As for the food... my husband got the Italian sandwich with a side green salad... it was your average sandwich. The bread was a bit dry, but the meat and cheese were plentiful. According to online reviews, this was supposed to be an authentic Italian place so I thought I would try the basic pasta with butter, garlic, and Parmesan and added Italian sausage for $4...hoping to get an authentic flavor profile. The sausage was burnt, and there was no flavor in the entire dish...none whatsoever. Needless to say, I was disappointed and really didn't even finish my meal. We didn't mind spending the $55 for 2 To-go orders if it was going to be flavorful. But unfortunately this really wasn't the case.
