The history of oOntario exhibit was limited, but nice. Their current exhibit of "we the people" is extremely biased and highlights. The views of the democratic left, which was kind of disappointing being that it is a museum. It would be nice to see both perspectives. It was a good one time visit. I'm glad it was free.

If you're ever mildly curious about the history of Ontario (and parts of San Bernardino county), this is the museum for you. I came on a Saturday afternoon and the parking lot was pretty empty. I think my friend and I were the only two visitors of the museum. Normally, I think they have an art display, but that wasn't available that day. The history section was surprisingly detailed. I learned so much about the history of Ontario and the role it played throughout parts of American history. TL;DR: free museum about Ontario's history. Only open from Thurs to Sun. Would recommend.

RECOMMENDED FOR:~Local Ontario Residents~History buffs~IE visitors~Those looking for free things to do in OntarioI love this museum. Not only does it have a fantastic museum full of Ontario and Inland Empire history, including Route 66 memorabilia. You'll also find regularly rotating special exhibits. I've seen a few of them and so far I've enjoyed each of these exhibits. Some that stand out are the clown/circus exhibit and the industrial art exhibit of Millard and Tony Sheets. The museum is located on the grounds of the original city hall and the first park in the city of Ontario, Nugent's Park. The grounds have been completely redone to be water saving, but the lovely rose gardens are still intact and worth visiting for you rose lovers. The grounds remodel look awesome and have really updated the exterior of the property. The museum is only open Thursday through Sunday, 12-4, but if you can find some time to visit, you'll find it worth the stop and there is no cost to visit!Recommended, my friends!

I visited the museum in the morning. They have a free parking lot and tons of free street parking. The museum, during my visit, had 2 galleries to walk through. Definitely a smaller, quicker museum visit but it was nice to learn the history of Ontario.

Don't come in expecting a museum of LA or NYC proportions ...this is a humble little town with a rich & diverse history. I attended the artist reception for the Dia de los Muertos exhibit. The exhibit was fantastic with various artists showcasing their work and various pieces created by local residents...The back part of the museum has two permanent exhibits that display items & artifacts from the history of Ontario and one dedicated to the roads and highways...I know that doesn't sound very exciting but it's actually very interesting. The museum and grounds are beautiful...white plaster walls...Spanish tile...heavy wood doors... Free parking & free admission...one negative is that the gift shop doesn't accept debit/credit cards.

Not bad it was pretty fun and interesting. I learned something new today. We end up going to both museums . Very quiet . We loved the environment. The 2 girls in the front gave us a lot of good information.

Liked the art exhibition at this museum - very unique art work presented. The museum gave the deep knowledge since the very beginning till nowadays - about important events, and famous people who committed to the development of this area. Now I know so many interesting facts that I had not known before.
