I was in the area and had no idea this place even existed, so I decided to drop by. A classic, small, quick bite fast food establishment. It's half serving area, half Filipino goods market, so it's not really a place to dine and sit down. But onto the food. I ordered two items, beef caldereta and pancit palabok. Both were REALLY good, but the only issue was the price. I've lived in Downtown LA, and the Bay Area, and $25.00 for a large order of beef caldereta is absurd. Sure, the container was a little larger than a normal large, but at *most* the amount I received was $20. The pancit palabok was $15, which wasn't egregious, but I could've gone to my local place for the same amount of food and gotten it for $8-$10. These are not prices I expected in the Magnolia, Riverside area.Service was fine, and there the ambiance is just a small market type quick serving room. I don't think I could justify coming back here when I can spend the same amount on a meal at Mama Mia's (three doors down from this place).

Our third visit today 08/06/2024. Cafeteria-style Filipino restaurant for quick meal choices. Step 1: walk to the left-side of the hot table, tell server what you want - 1-item or 2-item combo meal or order ala carte in small, medium, or large container.Step 2: point your choices on the hot table. You can also add to your orders like halo-halo for dessert.Step 3: proceed to cash register - tell them either to-go, dine-in, or ask for to-go bag for leftover dine-in food.I was told, this is now under new owner, management. Personnel are more assimilated and are friendlier compared to the bashful staff years back.Hats off on the pancit. It doesn't need any lemon. It is bursting with flavors. The Kare² is also delicious - today's kare-kare is made from pork hocks (pata). Flavor blooms after adding a tiny drop of shrimp paste to the chunk you are about to bite into.Grilled Pork Liempo: best consumed with rice and meat is dipped in spiced vinegar. Spiced vinegar is coconut vinegar with raw diced garlic, diced onion, sliced pepper, fish sauce.Tinolang Manok - very traditional flavor, we love it!

This place really went downhill the last couple years. The food is really oily and the meat is usually all fat. The quality isn't that great anymore. It sucks bc there isn't any Filipino places around here so sometimes you have no choice. The lumpia and breakfast is ok tho, sometimes if I'm really craving Filipino I'll get those but the rest of their dishes aren't good quality as it use to be unfortunately.

A few months ago, we had a potluck for work and called them about ordering 30 Shanghai lumpia for the following morning. They said yes they can have it ready. We came at the time we agreed on and they forgot about our order and we had to wait for them to make it. On top of that, the lady was not very nice.We thought maybe we can try again. So second incident was this morning. We made an order a few days ago and asked if we can order pancit and Shanghai lumpia for another potluck. They said yes and they'll have it ready. We get there today and they had pancit but no lumpia (again). Super disappointing. Gave one star for having at least the pancit ready for us.

Price is kinda expensive for 2 item combo. Pancit is plain noodles. Not the real pancit. Menudo is plain tasting. Wanted to really support this place but not coming back.

I came in today for a takeout for the first time. This was a great lunch to have while sick for me. The two Ate that were serving and greeting me were so sweet. They told me how to order and how their system worked. Overall great customer service.I got half and half, rice and pancit (noodles with veggies and meat), with Kare kare and bagoong. First bite was amazing, pancit was delicious and kare kare was so tender. Would definitely come back :))

I bought here 2 weeks ago and spent $50 . These store does not have a price posted on their food, as if they are just inventing their overpriced food! And what pisses me most are the staff here that does not know how to appreciate business. They're RUDE! The old lady and her daughter who looks like a punk. They don't know how to say THANK YOU! Once you paid your stuff they will just turn around and not appreciate your business. WHAT A HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! And I don't even know if their hands are clean when they get my food! not going here and spending my money anymore!!!!!

I went here for the first time today and I'm never going back here again. Decided to dine in.. and realized it was so over priced just for you to receive cold food. Service was okay. Really disappointed because this is only one of the few Filipino places around Riverside but I'd rather drive all the way to Colton for Kusinang Pinoy. There they have better food , prices, and ambiance.
