MYLA Mexican Bistro

My husband and I came in on a whim when we happened to be in the area, and we were impressed!! We shared an asada burrito, el socio roll, and chips and guac. The guac was creamy and flavorful, the burrito was the size of my forearm (for only $10!), and my favorite was the roll. The Japanese flavors work beautifully with Mexican flavors, and my taste buds were so happy! The sashimi/fish used tasted fresh and of great quality. I'd suggest asking for some of the cilantro sauce that came on our roll on the side for the burrito. Yum!We didn't think we'd be that full from our food, but it kept us full for the rest of the day. The server told us on Wednesdays there's buy 2 rolls, get 1 free. We're just bummed we don't love any closer. Highly recommend!

Came in this morning 1/20/25.Ordered two large horchatas, chips and salsa, chilaquiles Chipotle with meat without the eggs, a baked sushi roll, and a baja fish taco. the order was as scrambled as the eggs we didn't ask for. The two horchatas were passed due, extremely sour, the waitress took forever to come back and check in, so I had to get up and go to the front to let her know it was no good. The chilaquiles came as chilaquiles rojos, with the egg on top. I noticed the egg as soon as she set the plate down, but I left it as that. Once I realized they were rojos instead of Chipotle, I let her know they were Chipotle, i told her again they weren't because she kept insisting they were. She ended up taking the plate back, and came back 5 minutes later with the correct plate. As she walked away, she said it was her mistake, and that she mixed up the plates. She then brought the baja fish taco, only it turned out to be a baja shrimp taco. This morning I woke up with a fish taco craving, I normally order the Camaron enchilado taco, but I was in the mood for a good fish taco. Midway through my taco, I realized it was shrimp. Disappointed, I asked the waitress what she had put down - as i told her I was a fish person when I ordered. I know I'm not crazy and i know what i wanted, so for her to come back with the check and say that I ordered the shrimp because that's what she noted, when I know, and my husband, who was right next to me, knows I ordered the fish. Feels like I got gaslit over one taco, but I'm not the one who butchered our order multiple times. I've received better meals, and waaay better service here before - with other waitresses, so this morning was just a bummer. It's a sit down restaurant, so I still left a tip. But after dealing with that and drinking the rotten horchata, I'm really kicking myself. Good customer service would've at least offered something else, but we just ended up getting even worse service and a butchered order.

Torn to write this review. I have been here 3 times and decided to take my parents here because every plate I had here is delicious! The service is great as well. We ordered 3 cafe de olla and the waitress came by multiple times to refill our cups. To my surprise we were charged 6 full refills of coffee for 3 people. The coffee alone was about 23 dollars!!! But what is upsetting is that our cups were never completely empty they were half full and we would get topped off. So how can they determine they we have 6 complete refills? On top of that there is a surcharge and service fee added. I hope the service fee they are requiring is the tip for the waitresses. Today I decided to read the reviews before going and there were of couple of reviews that warned others to check their receipt before paying and thats what happened today. In the end the food is great and we enjoyed everything. The charge for "refills" and additional charges are off putting.

Went here this weekend with my kids. We ordered some sushi, steak & eggs & some mango ceviche. Food was good but the service wasn't the best. They gave my son a refill but never brought a straw. My kids wanted to order more sushi but the girl never went back to our table. My kid had to get up to get to-go boxes and the check.

This is truly a hidden gem! The food here is amazing. One of my favorites is their chicken tortilla soup. A unique take on a classic and oh so flavorful! They have a wide selection of foods from sushi to quesabirrias and chilaquiles. You really can't go wrong with any dish. The dishes are all modern takes on the classics we know and love. They have limited seating and parking, but I've never had an issue with either during the lunch hour. The service here is friendly and always quick. I highly recommend you give Myla a try the next time you're craving a delicious Mexican meal!

This is such an interesting restaurant with unique options. It's Mexican based sushi is what makes it so unique- with tasty cilantro based flavors that just work- although I was skeptical at first! The people are very kind! Service can be a little slower at times, but kind people! It's a chill vibe, usually not too busy. Have never waited for a table. This is a gem restaurant that definitely needs more recognition!

Be careful with the trigger happy waitress refilling your coffee. You will be overcharged. Look at your receipt. You'll be surprised to see that they charge you like an AT&T bill with hidden charges super charges.. hell, probably a California tax charge at that. do yourself a favor and write a big zero on the tip so that way they won't charge you again , after you leave.

I will definitely come back and try other dishes well worth it well served and plated.-Flautas de Pollo Y Papa tender soft, queso fresco, purple onion with a nice crunch to every bite-QuesoBirrias meat is tender packed with flavors with double crunch tortilla dipped in birria marinated sauce and ask for tasteful salsa that goes with these tacos-Steak&Eggs simple but well served tender arrachera meat well seasoned with nice soft home potatoes and homemade refried beans and comes with flour or corn tortillas and a kick ass jalapeño-Licenciado Roll,Tres Leches Rolls and La Rosca Roll are all exceptional delicious pass my expectations they're fried great eel sauce and special green cilantro sauce too much to talk about but must try.‼Wednesdays buy two sushi's get one free‼-Jaimaca and Horchata made in house both super delicious not too sugary and super refreshing.Place is clean, A/C, and bathroom is outside and it's cleanCon: place is pretty small inside but it does have an outdoor sitting area.

Driving back from Az and we wanted some burritos... this place was close and off the freeway. Ordered the wet carne asada burrito. It was a good size and so delicious! Will definitely come back when driving through again!
