Mimi's Donuts & Ice Cream

Best donuts in town we are regular customers at least 3x a week for my son who gets the same order. 1 sprinkle donut and a double scoop ice cream with sprinkles in a cup. Although, it's becoming an issue with getting served ice cream in the small cup vs the larger cup. My son (who is autistic) doesn't have the fine motor skills to scoop ice cream without dropping it most of the time since the cup isn't large. Half the time we are given the large cup and the other half we are denied and forced to pay for a triple scoop if we want that sized cup even after explaining. I find it extremely upsetting as we are already paying a good amount. This issue has really been making us want to stop coming for good. Not a big issue to most people but for us there's truly a reasoning behind the request for a big cup.

Tried several donuts from here: buttermilk chocolate donut, apple filled donut, and cream filled chocolate donut. We also got an ice cream sandwich with THRIFTY's (!!!) ice cream. We got the oreo once cream which was bomb! I think I would come back for breakfast sandwiches next time. There are so many options for donuts, ice creams, toppings, and drinks. This can either be a breakfast stop or dessert. There's ample parking in the lot outside. The inside had places to sit and wasn't super busy on a weekend morning. There was only one person working but he was nice and gave each customer attention and didn't try to rush anyone, which was nice.

The location is awesome with paintings on the walls and a digital screen of their items. The girl there was nice and informative of the pricing on the cronuts if I was to get a half a dozen. Cronuts are the best invention ever! Lol check them out they're open late too!

The place is nice and clean the customer service is great; however the cake donuts are dry maybe they need to be smaller less dough you can really taste the oil on them. They need to change the frying oil more often that's the problem with most donut places. There's a handful that change their oil often then you end up with stale tasting donuts.

I came to Mimi's Donuts for the super cool Rams football donuts they had posted on their instagram! Sadly, they were all out but their staff was super nice and did tell me they would have more in stock the next day. My friend and I did end up trying a few of their other donuts and our evaluation. Mind you, we did go to the shop after 6pm so that could have played into things since it wasn't the morning fresh bunch.~The chocolate long john had the thinnest layer of chocolate I've ever seen and it instantly melted in your mouth. Because of that, I felt like I was just eating dough with barely a dish of chocolate. Wasn't a fan.~The double chocolate donut was a bit dry and flavor wasn't quite on point. Cute options in the sprinkle department though.~White frosted with M&Ms was tasty all around.~Cronut was incredibly delicious. Just perfect.~Blueberry donut didn't impress at all.Donuts and other baked goods are extremely well priced at Mimi's. I honestly don't think I'll be back though as donuts were so hit or miss.

Today, is a cloudy day due to the heart-breaking experience I had with Mimi's donuts on 1/21/25, Tuesday.I remember when I wrote my first review about Mimi donuts I was so excited from the taste of the donuts, service and Ambiance in the atmosphere fluttering with patience.Now, I felt deeply disappointed from the way I was treated the morning of 1/21/25, Tuesday.I went early to purchase donuts for some close friends and ordered a Roast Beef sandwichThere was a lady that was in front of me that was engaging with Jose and he gave her two plastic containers for 2 large glaze donuts. I call it the speciality order and I patiently waited because, first come first serve.When it was my turn, (Since I had waited patiently with the customer that was in front of me), I did not think it would be an issue with me asking questions about certain donuts, (Due to the cake donuts were sold out that a co-worker loved from Mimi's and I wanted to make sure the other donuts similar to the cake donuts would be as tasteful for her due to she loved the moist taste and texture of the cake donut in the past.)Jose in the past was exceptionally Amazing with empathy and abundance of patience.Unfortunately, on this particular day this did not prevail. As I was asking questions another lady walked in and he stopped from completing my order and politely helped her, engaged and gave her excellent customer service.Mind you, and she did not give a tip in the middle of NOT completing my order. After she left I completed my order, 3 Maple Bars and 2 were for 2 co-workers and 1 similar cake donut.I paid approximately $18.00, for the 4 donuts and ordered a roast beef sandwich. Plus, I was going to give a tip, (That did not happen)After I paid for my order another a man walks in and Jose once again stopped from completing my order and engages in helping this customer, (I reiterate that JUST walked in after me.) The customer was asking questions as well. He answered the gentleman questions, completed his order and the man left.So, I an standing there looking like Boo-Boo the fool and politely said, "I have to go to work too", and Jose said, "It will only take a few minutes," to complete my order.I was totally embarrassed and mind you neither customer gave a tip. But any time I have order I gave nice tips for the Amazing Patience and Customer Service. Importantly, bragging about the Excellent Customer Service and Patience Mimi employees provided. Until a-lot of family, friends and businesses I network with started ordering large amounts for various events to increase their moral or put smiles on people faces at work. Enlightening their days.Unfortunately, I left due to NOT wanting to be late for work and left the donut that was not cake and my incomplete order of NOT getting my Roast Beef Sandwich for these items I paid for.Now, I have found another Tasteful donut shop and the employees have an abundance of patience and did not help other people walking in after me, (Definitely, a first come first serve basis) I was treated with integrity and respect with absolutely no humiliation or self explanatory insults to injury with customer service.Mimi's, no longer have to worry about me taking up there time or helping others that came in after me.Apologies, for being a valued customer, (So I thought)...

Ok we just came back from Mimi's and bought a dozen doughnuts. We all love chocolate bars which are very good here. So this poor young employee had to tell us. I'm sorry but for every 3 of the same doughnuts we charge you 19cents we said WHAT that is the most ridiculous way to penny pinch your customers as it is the dozen is $19 bucks. We said why he just shrugged his shoulders and looked towards the owner. Just wanted let you know upfront.

Been by a few times the last couple weeks. Twice now, they have been closed at 5:30am even though the Hours state 5:00am.Still like the donuts. Service is still good.
