Mike Henry's Barbecue

Wow!!!Met a friend for lunch and wanted BBQ. We decided on Mike Henry after looking at the many 5 star reviews on Yelp. Let me tell you, the reviews are spot on. I had the beef burnt ends with greens and mac n cheese for the side. I also ordered 1/2 pound of brisket. The portions were plentiful!!Everything was perfect! The greens and meats were tender and flavorful. The mac n cheese were cooked to perfection.Service was top tier. David was so helpful on the register was able to answer the questions I had about the menu and gave me recommendations. Rashonda provided excellent service when my order was ready. I will definitely be back.

Service is great. Food is no bueno. Bbq is more dry than the Mojave Desert. Pork is dry with beef jerky bark! Not juicy at all. Beans taste like Ginger flavor. Coleslaw is wilted and watered down! Man, I wanted to really like this place. I'm out this way twice a week. One and done. But the staff was so nice to me. 5 stars to them.

My wife and I decided to try Mike Henry's Barbecue after seeing several ads on TikTok showcasing what seemed like amazing barbecue food. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of the expectations set by the advertisements.Upon arrival, we decided to order the beef rib plate, which came with beans and mac & cheese as sides. The presentation of the food was decent, but the overall experience was disappointing from the start.Customer Service:The lady working at the front counter left a poor impression. She was unfriendly and seemed uninterested in being there, which made us feel unwelcome. A simple smile or a bit of enthusiasm could have made a significant difference, but sadly, there was none. It set a negative tone for our visit.The Food:As for the food, it didn't live up to the hype. The beef ribs were average at best--certainly not the mouthwatering barbecue experience we expected. The beans and mac & cheese sides were also unimpressive, lacking flavor and any sense of uniqueness. The barbecue sauce, which is often a highlight of any good BBQ spot, was disappointing as well. It lacked the depth and richness of flavor we've enjoyed at other barbecue joints.Overall Experience:This visit was underwhelming in both food and service. Given the plethora of excellent barbecue options out there, Mike Henry's failed to stand out. While the TikTok ads painted a picture of bold, delicious barbecue, the reality didn't match up. Adding to the disappointment, the unwelcoming service left us with little desire to return.Unfortunately, this will likely be a one-time visit for us. With so many other great barbecue spots offering better food and friendlier service, I can't recommend Mike Henry's based on our experience. Sorry, Mike, but this wasn't the barbecue we were hoping for.

So disappointed! This tasted like old brisket that was over cooked - over seasoned. The Mac and cheese lacked taste. The baked beans were ok. The white bread was stale. The coleslaw was ok, no seasoning but at least not mayonnaise. Fries were nice and crisp. The jalapeños sausage was nice and flavorful but for the price not worth it. The service was fine. For the price I paid wished there were clean tables to eat at and please give more then one napkin per meal.

Went here with my bro and the hubster after several months of my bro bragging about how good the food is. I'm a foodie, there's no secret in that, however I do not like what is popular, trendy, or expected. I just love food...as long as it's good to me....im loving it. Most items, especially soul food are seasonal for me. I'm not that girl that will eat greens and Mac and cheese on a Tuesday in September....nope...not me. I want my greens and Mac and cheese around and on Thanksgiving. Period! There's no exception. Sorry not sorry! Moving on....my bro convinced the hubster to order the ribs, Mac and cheese and greens. I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich....came solo...no sides...unless the scoop of cabbage (allegedly Cole slaw), pickles, and 5 red onions were sides. For $17 I felt cheated. The sandwich was good, I wish there were more crunchy bbq flavored pieces though. The bbq sauce that came on the side had a good flavor and accented the chicken well. When i realized that the sandwich was all I got, i was going to order something else and when i got to the counter, the three young ladies were taking a break....a 30 minute, lights off, walk out with bags of food and sign put out with a return time on it break. So needless to, the chicken Sammie gives this place a 4 and 1.5 of this goes to the young lady who took our order.

It was our first time. I am going to say food was good. But the Texas Toast was not toast. The brisket was delicious. Service was good and quick. Ambiance not a big fun of eating places that have so much around. But is good. Plenty of seats.

200/2024This location is inside the Haven City Market Food Hall.Decided to try BBQ.Love brisket so ordered the combo plate with brisket and creamed corn and collard greens for my 2 sides.A good amount of serving that I shared with my hubby, and we still had 2 pcs left over.I ordered the cut with fat but Meat was lean and not marbelized and not as tender as I hoped for but still flavorful.Love the creamed corn!!! It was so creamy and sweet enough to my taste.

I had a craving for some spare ribs/St. Louis ribs something fierce so I decided to come out here for dinner. I remembered this place from an Elite event some months earlier and I remembered it being a place I wanted to sit down to a full meal with.I'm happy to report the spare ribs were fantastic. They were tender, juicy, and came with a pretty hefty portion in the 4 bones. I usually go for a half rack, but--that's what? two or three more bones? Four was plenty to make a dent in my hunger and judge the superior quality of their meats.The Mac was alright, but the baked beans were delicious. I could eat a whole bowl of that side.I have to say for a food hall joint, this barbecue was a lot better than some full-blown sit down restaurants serve. Much better. I would come here again.

Work has been crazy today, so lunch was on my boss! I've been wanting to try this place for a while, so today was the day! I placed an order online for pickup. And when I got there, the order was ready for me, packed nicely. I got the smoked pork ribs combo with BBQ baked beans and collard greens. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and so flavorful! The baked beans had great flavor--sweet with a bit of a kick, and the collard greens were cooked perfectly! I also ordered a half pound of the Texas style brisket and a regular order of fries for my kids. The brisket was delicious and also incredibly tender. The fries were cooked and seasoned well. Their BBQ sauce had a lot of flavor as well--with a little spice to it. I enjoyed using it on the ribs and brisket. The portions are decent sized. Even sharing the meals we still have some leftovers.The place was easy to find and is relatively small. As with all the Haven City Market places, there's limited seating next to their location, but seating available throughout the building.

Hmm idk I had higher hopes based on the reviews. Kinda dry need more sauce for the meat. The collard greens lacked flavor and needed more salt or something. The Mac and cheese was the only thing that stood out. Service was good, and the place is located in haven city market, next to the Taiwanese place. Almost $30 for the plate of meat and two sides.
