As a UCR student, this is hands down my go-to spot when I need a quick and delicious bite. I probably come here more than anywhere else when it comes to getting food in Riverside. Their $2 fish tacos on Wednesdays are an absolute steal. The fish has a light crispy batter, and it is topped with fresh pico and crunchy cabbage. Then, the extra sauce on the side adds a nice kick, making them even better. Although I've never dined in myself, the atmosphere always feels lively. There's usually a steady crowd of people grabbing a quick bite, chatting, and enjoying the space, which gives it a fun and energetic vibe. It's the kind of place that feels welcoming, whether you're stopping by solo or with friends.I''ve also noticed that it could get pretty crowded on some nights, but honestly, it's well worth the wait. Parking could be limited as well, but I personally always found a spot or two open.

overall score: C+order:birria tacos the birria tacos here are only ok, i have had much better elsewhere. the tortilla itself was a little dry and the birria was not that powerful in terms of taste. the sauce was a little bland too. i would come back and try something else though.service:we waited in line to order and the food came out fairly quick. good service.ambiance:this location is located near ucr and there's plenty of parking. there is also a lot of space inside.

We got off the freeway near UC Riverside literally just looking for someplace to eat lunch, when we saw a feather flag advertising quesabirria tacos. This place is in a strip mall, and we had no idea how popular this place is until we walked in and realized all tables were taken and there was standing room only. I love the bright, colorful atmosphere with Mexican-themed "pop art", faux fish, and a kind of palapa over the order counter. There is a small salsa bar with your choice of red or green sauce (both are pretty hot). The people at the counter were very helpful. It appears that many people are there for the giant micheladas, because almost every table had at least a couple. I also saw a lot of ceviche ( which looked so good) being ordered. We got the quesabirria tacos, some grilled fish tacos, and carne asada nachos. The quesabirria tacos with consomme were amazing . . . so delicious, as were the grilled fish tacos, which had really big pieces of fish. The nachos were incredible--loaded with more cheese, guacamole, and carne asada than chips-- literally. We had to use a fork to scoop up the deliciousness after the chips were all gone. They used the best Oaxaca cheese along with Jack and cheddar. This place is an 11 out of 10 for sure! Vanity wait to get back there!!!

I didn't get a chance to take pictures of my food, I got a fried fish taco and a fried shrimp taco. The fish taco was great, the OG shrimp taco I would not get again, they fry the shrimps together instead of separately so the shrimp comes out easily off the batter when eating it, I enjoyed the nice touch of the chile. The OG fish tacos were definitely best just wish it had more creama when I asked to see if they had some to add, the response was no they only give what's in the taco just makes the taco on the dry side for me. They seem to have good deals on certain days, the inside is cute very cute decor, my biggest complaint is the restroom please put some effort in it. It had to toilet seats covers and no toilet paper glad I checked before using it, used the men's since employees were to busy to help but both bathrooms were extremely dirty.

This review is for their fried fish tacos only. I personally do not like Mexican food because it has lots of ingredients I do not eat. I consider the other 6 dishes I tried on different days were all bad. However, their fish tacos were amazing almost every time. Some days they tasted a bit of more delicious than the other days but over all this is my favorite fish taco place. Fish taco special on Wednesdays.

I can not recommend this place enough. I love ceviche and this place does a great job at it. The seafood is fresh, with options for shrimp, fish, octopus. The seasoning is perfect balance of spicy, sour and salty.Fish taco platter, has enough for 3 people, and comes with peppers and onions. Overall, clean and lots of people and entertainment to watch.

My husband really thought the fish was good quality fish compared to Mi Pueblo in Menifee. However, he thinks the toppings on the fish tacos are bland here. He prefers Mi Pueblo. I, on the other hand, really enjoyed my tacos tonight. They are smaller than Mi Pueblo's. However, I think it was perfect size for my hand. Eating two is good, but I think I'll eat three next time. If I crave for fish tacos I will come here. $1.99 per taco on Wednesdays. The price is great. Service was on point and fast paced. Ambiance was ok. It's a small place but got several tables. I think they are doing good. Quite a few of customers there.

I haven't been in this little niche plaza in years, but while searching for something new to try, especially tacos, I popped in on a busy Saturday afternoon. Parking is tough in here sometimes, but if you don't mind walking a little farther, there are spots in the back. It's loud and fun inside. Music and colorful decor makes it atmospheric, which is perfect for nearby UCR students to dine. At least half of the patrons appeared to fit that description. I was especially interested in their fish and shrimp tacos, and the nice guy who took my order pointed out the perfect combination plate. I like that they offer two choices for preparation: grilled, or battered and fried. Fried, of course! Their fountain machine was in need of a good cleaning, and the carbonation was flat, so I deducted a star there. A little too much disarray. The food, however, was the highlight, especially the tacos. The rice and beans do the job but hardly the best I've had. The fish taco tasted so fresh, and my initial reticence about the crema sauce was quickly assuaged. No sour cream, thank goodness. I hate that stuff! The shrimp taco was equally good, and together, they were a decent meal. I took note of the special days and other choices on the menu. I'll be back to try more for sure.

Love coming on Tuesday and getting an order of Tijuana North with my roommate. It's the little enjoyments in life! Comes with 3 birria tacos and consomé for $8.99! Selection: From birria to shrimp, they pretty much have most tacos you can want from land to sea. I love how easy it is to call and put in an order, it's a close by restaurant for me, so it makes the pick up process all the more easier. The inside decor is super cute, makes you feel like you're not far from the beach. Parking: Some days are better than others. The little plaza gets super busy, so sometimes I have to park further away from the entrance.
