Hello, My family and I just went there for lunch and I just have to say BEST SHABU PLACE! Not only was the staff very welcoming, friendly, but the owner Cindy was absolutely lovely! She offered us mimosas which were so good! Now the food! We had Tum yum broth which had the perfect balance of Spice and lemon flavor, my 7 year old even loved it! The Tonkotsu broth, was absolutely delicious! They gave a very generous amount of veggies, the meat selection was amazing! We had the beef belly and it was delicious, it wasn't chewy at all and absorbed all the broth flavor! They had different sauces and they were all amazing as well!Safe to say we will be coming back again!

I'm so happy that the Inland Empire has quality shabu shabu! The staff here are super friendly and you can really Cindy (the owner) really put her heart into creating an awesome food experience. The food is fresh, the vibes are great, and it's clear they care about their customers. If it's your first time here, I highly recommend getting the Meat Lovers Platter because you cannot go wrong, all their cuts are great with excellent flavor. If you're a veggie fan, like me, they give you refills on the entire veggie bowl, which includes tofu and kabocha squash (my faves)... unheard of. I love bringing my friends and family here because they all have loved it, and we leave with full bellies and happy hearts. This better-than-OC shabu shabu spot is worth it.

First time here and I was blown away. Was visiting from the OC and found this spot for lunch. Meokja has all the elements of a great Shabu Shabu : great meat quality, delicious variety of sauces , and super fresh veggies . Not to mention the clean and modern interior with attentive service. They kept on asking if we needed anything which i appreciated. We got the Meat Lovers Platter and every piece of beef was marbled and tender. The veggies had such nice varieties like a piece of taro and kobucha squash to enoki mushroom which was delightful. But despite the awesome meat and veggies I need to rave about the sauces. That garlic ponzu was so addictive and I think I will be thinking about it for a whileThanks a lot Meokja for successfully ruining other Shabu Shabu spots for me in the best way possible, and tempting me to take the 45 min drive to you when I crave my garlic and meat fix now . I will definitely be back !

Great hot pot location soo close by!Food: cool selection of meats and a good selection of soup bases to choose from. I really liked the spicy miso with 2 drops of spice. The sauces were both in point with the options to put in additional garlic, daikon and green onions. They also had a good selection of drinks including a sake flight. It will be cool once they put it on their official menu too!Service: went at around 1pm on a Thursday so not crowded with great service Overall: great local spot to hit that craving for hot pot. Will def go back now that the weather is getting colder!

First time trying this and it was pretty good. The ambiance- upon arrival it was so hard to see where the place was at first because there was no sign light up or anything like that so it was pretty dark to really notice where the place was, you would basically have to really look for the name and hope it was that. When you walk inside thought it's bright and small with the bar in the middle and tables to your left. The place was pretty welcoming but I wish that they really thought of the seating arrangement. They have on table that's pretty weird in the front of the pace where it fits 4 people but with only two burners in across one person and there was not burner for the person that was sitting away from everyone . We had to switch tablets to be closer to my party which it was very generous of them to allow us to do so.Service- the service was subpar. They were really nice and helpful since it was our first time trying this location out. We made sure to order what we wanted but there was a moment where they brought out everything we ordered except our drinks . It wasn't busy enough for them to forget something like that from the order. But either then that they were pretty good at making sure we have a good experience .Now time to discuss about the Food!. Now the food was ok , it wasn't the best but it was good for what it's worth. I had something similar to this place called makoji. The meat was some good cuts which we were hoping they have an option to marinate the meat to add extra flavor to the soup. Now the soup two people in my party had the medium miso soup and both said it was not even spicy enough for them. The broth tasted pretty bland for our taste but the thought that you would have to add spicy drops to the soup to make the "Medium" spicy miso to taste spicy is interesting no to me. The lemonade was very refreshing and delicious! Either than that it the food was ok . Thanks for the meal though . We will try it again soon to see if we'll have a better experience .

On walking into the restaurant, you're immediately blasted in the face by the cold air conditioning. Make sure to bring a jacket with you because it's quite chilly. The restaurant was pretty empty for a Thursday evening during dinner (5pm). Our server was prompt and eager to get us started on the menu. Saw they offered a seafood platter which includes lobster tail, but I wasn't too keen on it. There was a slightly off, old seafood smell that was lingering in the dining area. We ordered the regular meat platter, mushroom platter, and got the split hot pot so we could try the sukiyaki broth and the miso broth. Presentation of the food was nice, but I got the sense they are trying to go for a premium experience with cheaper ingredients. Standard cook your own food in the broth. Both were not overly salted and mild flavored. I had a few mushrooms that tasted super bitter which was unfortunate. I've had nicer mushroom platters that were full of delicious variety at Little Sheep or Hai Di Lao. Sadly, the meat is sliced paper thin, making it hard to pick up. Often threw ripped bits and bobs of it into the broth, which after being cooked would be better served in a stir fry.Overall, your this is standard a la cart shabu spot. For $160 plus tax and tip, we left full but unsatisfied by the quality and cost. Pros: They are generous with their veggies and rice. Both are refillable upon request. Cons: Thin meat slices. As my husband's broth got low, they didn't come to refill his side. We did request but they forgot. By the time they remembered we were done with our meal. I hope they can improve the off-seafood smell that lingers in the dining area.

We had a great meal here. The veggies and meat were of high quality. We got a medium and a small order of beef and it was enough for the two of us. The tonkotsu broth had a nice taste and you could tell everything was prepared fresh. It isn't AYCE but we found that we had enough to eat with all the veggies, we also ordered an appetizer of dumplings too. The waiter came around frequently to check on us and we were given a pitcher of ice water to refill our glasses frequently. We showed up on a Saturday and were seated and served quickly. The restaurant is very clean. An enjoyable experience overall.

Had a reservation tonight for my friend's birthday and they were great. We got seated and helped right away. I really appreciate the accommodations they made for my pregnant friend. They made her a nonalcoholic drink flight so she can feel special on her birthday. The food came out quickly and they were very attentive to our table. They even let us store a cake and sang happy birthday to her. The food and customer service were great. We'll definitely be back!

Walking in, the place had an amazing atmosphere! It felt very calm and welcoming. Having to admit, this was my first time going and trying hotpot the waiters were very helpful! They helped me understand what is used for what and were very kind about it. The food was also very good. The broth was perfect (in my opinion) and really tasty. I overall enjoyed the experience and recommend anyone who wants to try to go here!!
