Mels Liquor Store

Been coming here since I was a kid. Never had any issues yes the older guys are gone but there's no difference in customer service. The only difference I see is all the upgrades to the store it looks great good job guys keep up the great work!!

Nice clean spacious, but mid range price, B-Rank liquor store, selling Hurricanes for $2, other spots $1.70 30 cents in a purchase of 3 is already almost a dollar, single visit. Doesn't take Einstein to know where they need to go to save money, get on that level with a competitive price and can steal customers away.

SHADY SHADY SHADY!!Reserved a U-haul from website to pick up at Mel's Liquor. Online quote was for $85. When I went to pick up the truck the employee tried to charge my card $120 for the rental. I asked why and he said I didn't decline the insurance. I told him I did and asked to cancel it at that time. He said I would need to show proof of car insurance. I knew this was BS because I rented a U-haul twice before within 3 months. He said I needed it. I didn't drive there so I asked my friend if she could use her insurance and drive the truck.. The employee said I could not use her insurance or add her as a driver.I cancelled the reservation and called U-haul to reserve at another location. The rep on the phone verified that the liquor store employee was wrong. Car insurance is not requiredThe shady guy was trying to charge me 30% more to help his struggling, lousy liquor store.

VERY RUDE! Paired with poor work ethics, lack of adequate customer service, overall terrible experience. I walked in HOURS before closing and asked about their check cashing services, the clerk addressed me in a unprofessional and unpleasant manner, then impolitely told me they could not cash my check, I quote " No, Not going to happen" then continued to say he had to go and was trying to close the store. Which brings me back to the fact that the store hours posted online and out front specifically stated they closed at 11:00 pm

The best place in town they have amazing prices and are always friendly. Would recommend to anyone

Mels cashes all kinds of checks for cheap. They cool as a fan in there. Trust you will get great service. It's busy most of the time but that does'nt change the CS. Best liquor store in MoVal.

Friendly, fast service with a variety of extra's. Western Union, check cashing, lotto, liquor, and more. Neil is awesome.

Horrible customer service along with the selling of expired meat products. Wait times were long and the people were extremely rude.

They recently changed ownership I think. Mel isn't there anymore and they re-configured the back of the counter. Not sure if Mel sold it or not. Does anyone know where he's at? Totally different now. Was better when Mel was there
