Masala Twist

I never leave reviews but with the place being new - I thought this is worth dropping a comment. I wasn't sponsored to leave this review but loved the food so much- I had to leave one! Ambiance- not many people were there when we showed up around 4pm on a Friday. Food- all around amazing! I tried their mushroom with onion and bell pepper, samosas with Chana sauce, mango shake, garlic naan, goat tikka masala gravy sauce and lamb marinated entree- everything was absolutely delicious and my new favorite place! I'm really picky and have high expectations and they delivered well with also good service.

Great food. Best in Inland Empire in my opinion. Love the variety of gravies. Have never been disappointed.

Today was our 2nd visit there for lunch. We went there 2 weeks before and loved the food we had, so thought of going again & tasting something different to see how good the dishes are. On our 1st visit, we went with Amritsari Kulcha, Lamb Chops, Veg Hakka Noodles, Paneer tikka. The Lamb chops were done right and tasted delicious. The mint chutney that comes with it, along with the grilled onions add that much needed herby, sweet and tangy flavor make it more delightful. The Amritsari Kulcha was amazing with its spiced potato stuffing. The combo with the pickled onions and Chole ( chickpea curry) add a whole another flavor profile to it, that you can't resist eating again and again. Although, I wish the onions were pickled more. The Veg Hakka noodles tasted really good, and I was surprised that they could get that right as well. The noodles were cooked just right, and the spices added a nice touch to it. My wife ordered the Paneer tikka & she was blown away by the softness and how fresh then paneer tasted. She just couldn't stop raving about it. My son went with the coconut chicken curry with the Basmati rice & he loved every bit. I had a taste myself and was surprised by how soft the chicken turned out to be. The coconut curry tasted sweet, spicy and had the right gravy consistency to go well with Basmati rice. Overall, a welcome addition to the Fontana neighborhood.

Pretty reasonably priced. Inside is so cute. There's your traditional foods and your "twist" or fusion. Service was fine. Ordered... Pani puri.... I love puri! The crispy shells! Already filled with potatoes and spices. All you had to do was fill it with the tamarind sauce and pop it into your mouth! So refreshing!Butter chicken... always a delight! My go to!Chicken vindaloo.... Butter chicken is the better of the two. Garlic naan... delicious to dip and scoop the gravies!Basmati rice... wish it came with the a la carte dishes. Ample free parking in a shopping center.

Walking into this restaurant, it felt like we instantly transported to another place. The cute pink, grey, and blue color scheme was a complete contrast to the darker exterior of the building. The smell of mouthwatering curry and other spices filled the air as my friend and I sat down to order.The staff who took our order was extremely sweet, she was attentive and patient as we figured out what we wanted to order. We ended up choosing the samosas and pani puri for the appetizers and for the main entrees, we decided on the mixed grill and mango chicken curry. We also ordered a side of rice and naan since the curry was al la carte. The order of which the food was brought out was a bit odd, we first got the samosas which made sense, then the mixed grill, followed by the pani puri, then the mango chicken, and finally the rice and naan. Originally, we ordered two servings of the naan and rice but when we saw how large one serving of rice was (it was enough to feed 3 people), the waitress was super sweet to offer to take it back when she saw our shocked expression.Food Review:- Samosas: the freshly fried samosas were a bit small but packed with flavor. They were filled to the brim with potatoes and peas, both were seasoned perfectly. And they were accompany by a tasty sweet sauce and an herby spicy sauce. 8.5/10- Pani Puri: the crunch exterior of the pani puri was perfectly balanced by the soft potatoes and other spices. I love the refreshing herby cold soup (I'm not sure how to describe it) that we add into the pani puri. 9.8/10- Mix Grill: The mix grill consisted of tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, shesh kabob, lamb boti, and tandoori fish. When it arrived, both my friend and I were shocked with how large the plate was and how it was filled to the brim. Our personal favorite meat was the tandoori fish which melted in our mouth. However, all the other meats were also grilled really well and were delicious. 8.8/10- Mango Chicken: the curry had a well-balanced blend of savory, sweet, and slightly spicy flavors. The large pieces of chicken were tender and tasty. However, the mango flavor does not really stand out at all. 7.8/10

My wife had been looking for pani puri which she heard was good but couldn't find it anywhere. Then Masala twist opens nearby and we had to go. They had what she wanted and more. The food was so good. We order so much more than what we could eat and took so much home. The service was just over the top. Kindness will get me coming back every time. The place was clean and beautifully decorated. I hope it stays this way. Only thing that was off was the blender was really loud that it took away from the cool music playing. No one should order for a take away, my personal experience is very bad. These people always messed up with the order and never except it.

Food good, customer service OK. Order a lime soda, it was disgusting so I exchanged it for a sprite. It still ended up on my bill. I was confused and they asked to remake it- AT THE END. I wouldn't have exchanged the drink had I known they'd both be on the bill. Anyway. They took it off. Most likely won't be back.

This is relatively new restaurant in the neighborhood. We stopped by the place for dinner. The ambience was good and spacious.Me and my wife ordered veggie food. The recommendation given by the server named 'Akash Singh' was awesome. We had 'amritsari kulcha' and it was delicious. I tasted such authentic kulcha after a long time.The hospitality of the server and the food reminded me the love and tradition of the Amritsar Punjab...

AMAZING FOOD!!! So happy with this place, I can't wait to come back! Yum!! Dhai puri and malai chap are the best.
