The fried chicken is great, but the service is not so great. Although we usually place our Manila Boy order in advance (2-3 days in advance and also called them the day of as a reminder), they usually don't have our order ready for pickup. They usually start making our order as soon as we step through the door.If you don't mind waiting and you're not in a hurry, then you don't have to worry. However, it doesn't make sense to call in for a large pickup if you're just going to start making it on the spot.

Home-cooked food, cafeteria-style.We came back for the off-menu PORKCHOP but also ordered the mouth-watering Tinola Porkribs that almost tastes like Sinigang but I could taste the ginger in the soup. I so wanted to get the Ginataang Laing and Fried Tilapia, too; but my doctor will get mad at me, lol.Say "hi" to Ate [ah-teh] Nelia. She's the lone server-owner at the counter who is so warm and friendly, always delighted to serve and chat with her customers.Manila Grill has been in this location for over 26 years, it has only 3-5 tables in the dining area. To-go, Take-out, catering orders covers majority of this business.Ate Nelia's quality of service, and her food makes me feel like I am eating at my auntie's home kitchen. Comfort food and very homey feeling I would love to come back for again.

We discovered this gem by chance, and were blown away when they served our chicken and bangus order straight from the fryer, with portions that far exceeded our expectations!

Pretty good place to get your Filipino fix.Place is small so you're going to go here for takeout food.First off, they're close on monday and tuesday. Second, they're not following the set menu days. Best to call them before going. The traffic on Mckinley is a pain from the freeway but it's fine when you get to their compound. The staff is pretty cool and kind. Easy to talk to and quite helpfulBest seller would be the fried chicken. I tried their dinuguan and I liked it. Maybe next time I would leave it in the fridge for a few days to let the meat absorb the flavors more. Next time I'll call beforehand to see what they're selling.

Eager to visit the store this past weekend, I drove all the way from San Bernardino, only to arrive at 10:45 am - an hour and 45 minutes after their stated 9:00 am opening time. To my disappointment, they had no food ready, as they were prioritizing a catering order over serving regular customers. Seeing people leave in frustration, I now understand why - this level of disorganization and poor time management is unacceptable and bad for their business. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!!!

Food was below par in my opinion! Very slow service! The cashier was a younger gentleman, who didn't have any customer service skills.

The food that we always order is the fried chicken. It's pretty good for the price. Crispy, flavorful and always fresh. The service is a hit or miss. Sometimes the lady is super nice, sometimes grumpy. I don't go for the service though. I like the fried chicken there. The ambience is pretty small. I think just 2 tables. It's mostly to go orders. I do recommend calling ahead of time to place an order or 2 cause they get pretty busy.

As a Latino American trying Filipino food for the first time, have to say I am blown away by the delicious savory food that I have been missing out all these years. Prices are fair for the quality of food that is served. Got a new spot to grab lunch or dinner now. Thanks Manila grill for the great food.

Wow... to see that this place isn't rated at 5 stars on Yelp is astounding to me. This has quickly turned into my go-to place for off-the-stove, hot, homemade sinigang. I wish I took a picture before eating the soup, but this place hands-down has the most flavorful sinigang. We had it with chicken, which was cooked perfectly-- tender, soft, juicy chicken flavored with a savory fish sauce. The broth was an explosion of flavors with its tanginess. I will say that since the restaurant is small and because their primary focus seems to be catering, you do have to wait a while for your food. Call in advance to see what dishes they have available, order over the phone, and sit down later to eat the most homey Filipino dishes later!
