Mamma Mia Restaurant and Bar - Riverside

My first time going to Mamma Mia's restaurant with my son for dinner. I must say that this restaurant has amazing food it was so delicious. They provided us with great customer service. I want to thank Gabriel. He was our server did a great job. Also Joseph was so nice and attentive and gave us a delicious dessert on the house . To welcome us for being our first time at Mamma Mia restaurant. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.

Set aside the 1000+ reviews and 4 1/2 star median rating. Set aside the physical expansion. After some if not most of you read the following, you might judge me to be too picky. But take a moment to quite simply think about if this was you as the customer and what your wishes were to enjoy the food you are paying for. I have previously on more than one occasion patronized this place. It has been consistently disappointing regarding respecting the wishes of the customer's order. Last night, I thought Italian food sounded good. Do I really want to give in and go to Mamma Mias? I was on the fence but I finally told myself ok I will try one more time. Placed phone order. 14" pizza, plenty of Kalamata olives, mushrooms, garlic, and very light cheese, again very light cheese. I also emphasized please tell the kitchen to do their best to make the crust thicker. I told the employee historically the crust has always been too thin. The order was repeated to confirm. I just didn't know what to expect after I arrived and paid. Upon opening the pizza box, it was just disheartening. I took a moment to share with the employee that brought the pizza to me that this is not what I ordered regarding the crust. I emphasized she was not responsible. She was apologetic. The receipt shows no effort to honor the my instructions. I could have asked for the owner but I just wanted to pay and get the hell out of there. After coming home and heating up and using my pizza stone, the particular photo you see says...it....all. The crust could not at all support the toppings and the excessive cheese I did not order. Every customer counts. Every order counts. Every customer pays their money to be satisfied.To reconsider this place in the future?Never ever never again.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. My wife said she wanted Italian and close to home. I searched and found Mamma Mia and we went. I can honestly say that while the reviews were all great we were a little suspect pulling into the parking lot. Okay, I was a little suspect as she had no idea where we were going and what my plan was. When we entered into the restaurant the team welcomed us with a big smile and the interior was bright and enticing. Our server was extremely nice and made some suggestions which were great. The garlic bread was amazing. My wife ordered the beef lasagna and I opted for a build your own pizza. I can honestly say this is the classic 'don't judge a book by its cover' moment. We couldn't even finish our meals and had to get to go boxes when the manager said he was offering us dessert on the house. Unfortunately we were stuffed and declined. But we will be back. Every single employee was welcoming, even other servers asked if we were okay and checked in on us. It was an amazing experience and I am truly happy to have found this little gem of a place. We will be back as we want to try many more things on the menu. We heard the Calamari is also an amazing appetizer. We jumped into our food so quickly that we forgot to take a picture, but trust me it's a great place. A nice little bar area with high top tables in the front and a large dining room as well. I feel like I could stop by for a drink and some appetizers. I'm also sad that I left the receipt with our servers name on it as he was amazing. I'll have to find it and do an update as his recommendations were spot on. We will definitely be back. Great spot in Riverside.

The food is awesome, the service is slow.The service:I had to ask several times for a drink refill. The waitress was concerned about hanging out with her friends instead of serving me, so this place gets docked a star. She sat at her friends table talking while my drink was empty. My food dish was also missing a topping, but I didn't bother bringing it up.Now to the food:The food is so good! We tried the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and the eggplant spaghetti. The fettuccine already is on the peppery side, but I love pepper so I thought it was very good. If you're not a fan of pepper, maybe don't try it. The eggplant was cooked very nicely and had lots of flavor. The marinara sauce was vegan friendly. The old fashioned was ok. It wasn't very strong for the price paid, but it tasted good.I would definitely return to this place and try more dishes. I just hope I get better service text time.

Heard this place was very delicious from a close family friend. Had to come in and see for ourselves. We absolutely loved it. Service, and ambiance a ok We will absolutely be coming back for more and spreading the word so others can enjoy too!

We came here on a Sunday night and were immediately seated. We ordered mac and cheese bites and garlic bread for appetizers. The mac and cheese bite came with ranch dressing, which accounted for most of the flavor. The garlic bread was very soft/had little structure and the garlicy buttery flavor was very mild. In contrast, the chicken piccata I ordered as my entree was very watery and almost overwhelmingly lemony. I didn't feel like the mashed potatoes added anything to the dish besides a sponge for the lemon flavor. For the only okay food, I felt that it was a little over priced.

The best Italian food. Don't let the location in a mini strip mall fool you. It was one of the best pastas I've had in a while. I recommend the chicken Alfredo as well as their meat lasagna.The times we have gone out servers have been really nice! The ambiance is perfect for date night. Check them out way better than any overpriced italian place!

Travis did an amazing job. The food was so delicious. The chicken parm is our favorite. He was on top of our drinks, getting our food to us. Request Travis! He made the experience great.

Mamma Mia is in a challenging spot right now. Example: My account with the web site suddenly does not take my password. I try to reset and e-mail never comes. I call and no one answers. Last week I ordered, and I take about 45 minutes to get there, and I wait 30 minutes after I arrive to get my order. At this point the only to get my pick-up order is to drive there, order and wait. What is going on Mamma Mia?
