Luna Modern Mexican Kitchen

Goodness gracious. This place was magnificent. I am very critical on Mexican & Portuguese food because of my culture. But this place was amazing. My husband took me here for Valentine's Day. We didn't get any drinks though because we both were driving & it was raining. We started with two apps, the fiesta nachos & the Cisco's platter. Both were very amazing and the nachos were excellent! They have each ingredient on each nacho chip to make sure that every bite gets everything.Then we got two dinners & shared. The tacos de pescado & mar y tierra duet. (Fish tacos & surf and turf). Oh my goodness, the steak was so good, my husband laughed because I said "Dare I say better than Gordon Ramsay's" because we had steaks in almost all his restaurants. If I had to ding anything, I will saw the rice & beans on the side of the fish tacos were basic, still good, but basic. Then the fish tacos weren't battered, but still amazingly fresh and savory. Then we weren't going to get dessert, but they had a special for Valentine's Day reservations, & it was a chocolate tres leches & that was absolutely amazing! Fresh strawberries & it wasn't overly sweet either like it looks. It was so delicious and amazing, I pray they keep it around for a while because I would go back for that and order multiple anytime I go! Overall this place was amazing. The service was great and well and very organized at least from our observation. The hostess controlled the front team very well & our waiter was a nice young kid with great personality. The interior (dining room) was set up special where we were seated for Valentine's Day reservations. The rest of the restaurant was still its normal modern decor with Frida paintings on the wall. I did go into the bathroom and the toilet seats were a bit dirty or old, but that's what covers are for. Other than that it was all so good and amazing! Definitely visiting again.

Experience- Service was a bit slow at first but I'll assume it's because they had just opened. I would like compliment our waiter, he was absolutely amazing, kind and polite. Alec, I hope your managers see this and give you some credit. You are a great waiter that is prompt, attentive with a great attitude. Food- is absolutely delicious. I was skeptical about it but it was definitely worth it. I had the meat and shrimp fajitas, with Mexican rice and beans. The flavors are there! Seasoning is on point. Temperature was perfect. Ambiance- Clean and modern with a great vibe. The art was lovely to look at. I've tried a few trendy Mexican Restaurants and I must admit Luna is a favorite now. Music wasn't too loud like many trendy restaurants, it was at a tolerable level and overall it was a great experience. Very much appreciated my experience. I will definitely be back to try their brunch.

Came in one Sunday because I saw they had brunch with no wait.They offer a set meal with a pastry, mimosas, a main dish, and a desert for a pretty good price.Huge portions and pretty speedy service. Would come back as the brunch spots in Victoria Gardens are pretty busy sometimes.

I dropped by on occasion with friends because the restaurant looked modern and inviting--and it was a great choice! The food was very delicious--fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. I ordered the chopped entrée salad with grilled chicken and felt very full afterward.The chicken was tender and drizzled with a zesty sauce, while the salad greens were beautifully arranged in a unique bowl shape and coated with a fabulous vinaigrette.The service was friendly and attentive. Our waiter checked in regularly to ensure we were enjoying our meal.A wonderful place overall!

Ambiance & Service: For a modern Mexican restaurant, Luna was pretty okay for our first try at a New Mexican eatery in the area. The service was friendly and our server attended to us right away the minute we walked in. This place is good for families who are looking to be sat down right away and can't wait 15-30 minutes at other near by restaurants. Food:My partner and I ordered the steak & shrimp fajita and the Chimichanga.Steak & Shrimp fajita:Tasty and tender. They gave me 5 shrimps so I had to balance them out with the steak which I shared with my partner.Chimichanga: I never had a pouch chimichanga before. We didn't know how to properly cut it...or if we should even ruin the dish? The sauce surrounding it was really sour..almost like the pouch was bathing in tangy goodness. The chimichanga tortilla was delicious but was mostly ate the fried pieces located above the sauce. According to my partner, who ordered the chimichanga, it was as sour as our first servers personality. The second server was really nice though!

Came here on a Thursday night, and it was overall okay. My friend ordered the chicken tacos and I ordered a chicken quesadilla, and both were on the greasy/fatty side. We waited about 30-40 minutes for our food, which felt way too long for what we ordered, at least it came out hot.

I don't usually give low reviews. If you look at my reviews they're all excellent to average. We ended up choosing to eat at Luna because had an hour wait at another restaurant. We decided to give this place a try. I was looking forward to this place based on the food pics and new twists on some of the traditional Mexican food from the menu. The chips and salsa were good. The chips tasted like they were freshly made and warm upon arrival. Our Server was so nice and friendly. She was on top of being attentive and asking questions. I ordered the Carne Asada Enchiladas, I subbed for the salsa de tomatillo instead of the ranchero sauce. It was okay. There wasn't anything that made the flavor unique. Very average enchiladas and the meat was okay. The rice was salty and definitely not made with fresh tomatoes. When i think of a modern twist I was thinking they would make a unique taste or superb taste to what is made traditionally. The music was a little too loud that you could barely hear each other even though I do like reggaeton, but it was too much. The biggest reason why I decided to make this a 2 star rating was because of lack of planning from the host and management. We came in with a stroller and we wanted to keep our soon in his stroller in case he fell asleep. We were asked politely to put the stroller elsewhere due to the space. I'm all for safety, especially for my son if a sever is passing by with food, but my son was so uncomfortable in the high chair the entire time we ate. He wanted to sleep and be in his stroller. I think this could have been accommodated in a more efficient way. I saw another party that asked for a high chair 3 times because they also had a baby. They "tried" looking for another location for the party to sit to accommodate the baby. The baby ended up being in the walkway since they weren't moved in the end. There is a section near a ramp to park your stroller so that it's out of the way. Though if a wheelchair were to need the ramp, the strollers were in the way. We could have been placed in an area next to a wall so we were out of the way without making us uncomfortable being there. We just ate and left right away. Not to mention at the end when we were putting our son in his stroller to leave the front employee was staring at us. I don't think I have ever felt uncomfortable in a restaurant about having babyware or anything.

The service was quick. I went during lunch hour on a weekday. The food was out relatively quickly too. I ordered the enchiladas de mole and they were delicious, very authentic. The atmosphere was good, more modern minimalist decor. A little pricey but that's normal for places here in the mall.

Celebrated a birthday girls here with delicious food! Didn't expect much but WOW! The foods pretty spanking good! The bar also had plenty of liquor to choose from Our server was hilarious and gave us the BEST service! Date night - YES!Random dinner - of course!Celebrating anything - heck yes!!!!

Went on a Friday night with my husband. It was unbearably hot inside. The service was slow. The food was okay.
