This place is kinda hidden and in a pretty beat down strip mall off of Sunnymead and Heacock in Moreno Valley, but the food isn't half bad once you find it. What is best has got to be their homemade salsas. There are three different types. You get chunky for the chips, the green salsa and the red hot ones for "washing down burritos or tacos." It is a friendly environment where the food is brought to you piping hot. One small problem is the place is SMALL. If you aren't so fond of cramped spaces you can dine outside or take the food to go...and they deliver as well.

The food here is good. Can't Deny that. I have eaten here a few times and i've used them for their catering services as well. The resturant is really small but they make up for it with the quality of their food. I have also used them for their Taco Truck which comes to your location and cooks the food there. This is a good service becasue the food is cooked while you wait and served to your guest. They bring all plates, napkins, forks and all other set ups. When I first used them the service was GREAT! They had no minimum service order, they brought extra food and stayed a little over the time to ensure all of my guest were fed. They were just starting with the mobile "taco man" at that time so they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Fast forward a year and the story has become quite different. I had another small party of 40 and thought that they would be perfect for the occasion again. Well, they started out by telling me that the minimum was now for 50 people and if it were under 50 than I would still have to pay for the 50 people. I agreed based off of the service and food quantity that I had recieved in the past. However this time they showed up LATE, did not bring enough food and left EARLY! I had under 50 guest and there was not enough food. I was so embarrased when guest were coming in and they were packing up because they had already used "50 plates"! They were supposed to serve for 2 hours but only stayed a little over an hour INCLUDING the set up time that they were late for! Also, previously the tacos were the regular size. This time they came with the mini "pocket" tacos so there really should have been more than enough food in that case. I will never use them again becasue of the embarrasment that they caused me in front of my guest. I may stop in the store for food but never for catering again. They have lost alot of the professionalism that the displayed in the beginging when they were trying to gain customers!!!

This is the Worst Taco shop I have ever been to! Hands down the Worst! Taco Tuesday! I buy 10 tacos for $10...I was very nice to the staff. I waited less than 10 minutes for the food to be done. they put the tacos in the bag. the owner puts 2 small hot sauce in the bag...like these containers for the salsa's were VERY SMALL! Picture this...if you ever been to Rubio's or Baja Fresh, the plastic containers to put the salsa in are decent....enough to stick your chips in to dip...right?...The plastic container for the hot sauce were not even half the size of Rubios or Baja Fresh. Im thinking in my head??? Hello!!! can i get more??? So I nicely ask for more hot sauce...The owner says she already put it in the bag. there's only 2 in the bag. So she says" if you want more hot sauce you will need to pay extra $1.50" I buy 10 tacos...at the least they could of gave me 5 hot sauce. At this point, there is a person waiting in back of me, and I have friends waiting in my car...so in my head I say whatever and walk out the Los Compadres. I go in my car, chat with my boys about how lousy this place is! We eat the tacos in my car... The Tacos lack seasoning, The Taco shell was very stale not crunchy. and within 2 bites of eating the tacos, the hot sauce was gone. About 10 minutes passed and Im irritated...I see a classmate of mine i knew back in high school, and he says whats up...we start chatting about some random stuff, and Sure enough he mentions Los Compadres Taco Shop. The first thing out of his mouth was " Those motherF****ers are cheap with their hot sauce!!!" I thought it was just me and maybe the owner was having a bad day, but sure enough alot of people I know, knows about this place how they have the worst service and how stingy they are with the hot sauce!!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME COMING TO THIS PLACE...ITS NOT WORTH IT!!!!

Los Compadres is located in a heavily trafficked shopping center. It is small and not well advertised, but word of mouth is fairly positive. So I decided to try their tacos for Taco Tuesday. Unfortunately they missed the mark. Tacos small and average tasting. Tortillas were prefab style- YUCK. When my family wants tacos, we want fried corn tortillas!! They were small and the flavor in the beef wasn't anything to write home about. I asked for a side of beans to feed about four in the family and was WAY over charged for beans. I will say the the beans were delish! With an order of 15 tacos, we got 5 very small salsa containers. BOO! Especially when the tacos needed more flavor.I am now on the lookout for a new Taco Tuesday place in Moreno Valley. I would like to see Los Compadres change the way they do things and stay in business rather than not change and fold in this competitive economy. I will go back for a non Taco Tuesday night....maybe it will be better.
