HEMET's BEST MEXICAN MARKET! Even though customer service can be spotty on some occasions, I can always count on the food at Los Altos! I get their refried beans on the regular as they're always fresh and ready to eat. It's $3.99 per each pound and they put the ready made beans in a container for you. Essentially, I'm picking up my dinner and I don't have to cook. The beans are 90% very fresh and flavorful. You can't beat Mexican beans! I'm also an avid pan dulce fan which means I HAVE to at least stop by the bakery up front and pick up a gingerbread pig or Mexican chocolate chip cookie! The bread is made fresh each day and is constantly rotated. I've never gotten sweet bread that's been sitting there all day! It's always delicious and soft. Once in a blue moon, I stop at the in-store restaurant and it's home to some pretty solid food. Locals stand by it and there's plenty of seating in the dining area. The carnicería (meat market) is long and offers a variety of seafood, meats and more. I usually don't grab anything from there but it's definitely popular. As for ambiance, a lot of the folks I encounter are borderline depressed or troubled. I've never gotten a truly rude person, but the situation here with the staff is a bit awkward. Anyways, overall I suggest this market, it's clean and dependable! Pick up some Mexican bread!

Hello corn tortillas are my husband's favorite! The store is very clean. The chicharrones were delicious!

I do a long drive exclusively for pan dulce that my toddlers love to eat, he came up to me saying there was something inside so I came to take a look and saw what it looks to be a small piece of plastic bag inside the bread. I don't want to even imagine him or my other kids eating this. I hope people working here try to be more cautious about this matter, pan dulce is a very desirable food for my kids and I wouldn't have like them eating this and then having a stomach ache or something worse happening to them because of this.

Clean and the bread is delicious. More things to try. Thinking of trying the protein section.

It's Tiny old market needs to be outdated. Kinda dark thru the isle. Not too many options when it comes to masa for tamales, not sure how I truly feel about this market. I don't think I'm coming back I prefer Cardenas over this place.

We like going to this store to get some stuff for the week and the produce, tortillas and breads are really good. However, it seems like every cashier received the same identical training; every single one of them greet you in Spanish, they assume that everyone that walks in the store does not speak English or is it that THEY don't speak English?Just wondering.

They have wonderful fresh tortillas and I love the corn tortillas. Plus the tomatoes are excellent.

Usually, I go here with my mom to get the basics Carna Sada Carne, Melida, Crema, tortillas etc.. The service is ok. But this is the best place in town for Carne Sada.

Best meat around. A little pricey but the quality is definitely better than other markets. Produce is usually top notch as well. Their tacos are delicious and not pricey at all! Definitely recommend.

The 1lb of carne asada meal was so worth the price it was so delicious. In fact I went back the following day and tried the carnita meal, equally delicious! I'll be back for sure
