Tamales! Delicious!
WHY so thick... is this a tortilla or a huarache!
Truly GREAT authentic clean mexican goodness
First clean your comal then place the tortilla... then if u dnt know how to make them thin and soft get out of kitchen!
The most disgusting tamales I've ever had. They were very gross, no flavor, sauce was really runny and so was the masa.

0!/01/2025I am here for the 1st time in a year at Las Cuatro Milpasit was suppose to be going Out Of Business Permanently. We have been buying Prepared Masa For Tamales here for 50 years.Las Cuatro Milpas we learned opened under New Management.I went in yesterday 12/31/2024, I asked the lady at the counterif this was under New Ownership she replied YES but, they still have the same Employees. After getting that information I ordered 10 pounds of Masa, (we usually buy 4O pounds) but Under New Owners We Will Try First, we can always come back and buy more. After leaving I thought about a 2nd question I should have asked which is, do you still use the same Recipes.I have to say that we had to put the masa into a Food Processer because it still had pieces of corn kernels in the masa andthen after processing it seemed to have a bad smell of Old Oil.We always steam a masa tamale only to make sure it has good taste and sorry to say it was "TERRIBLE'and their Masa thrown out. We are not going to put GOOD MONEY into BAD MASSA.I called Las Cuatro Milpas Today 01/01/25 and got no answer, I guess they were closed for the New Years Day Holiday...To End, We Were Able To Find A Location Today 01/01/2025 For Masa And All Ended WELL... Happy New Year

Carnitas Burritos in the morning are the best around. Definitely one of my favorite places for morning burritos. Fresh tortillas made daily right in front of you.

I'm from Long Beach. We vacation to SD. Better food than LA. I lived in Texas 10 years, but still will crave Las Cuatro Milpas. I have traveled all over the world, they have the best Mexican food. Best chorizo & beans. I will stand in line for hours literally for this food. So what parking is hard...food is worth it!

Last time I stepped in there was a year ago (8/27/22). First, of all the outside sign stating, "WE CHANGED OUR MIND AND DECIDED TO REMAIN OPEN!" Is a farce, lie, deceiving the community and general public. These are new owners or under new management.I figured I'd take a shot and see if these newly merchants (1/1/2023) read the reviews on Yelp, considered revamping aiming at improving their quality as well as quantity. Not! None of the prices are visible. I saw for one dozen Tamales went up to $29.90! Solely, stopped for carnitas (half pound $7.00); was not juicy, tasty and very dry. I asked for one dozen corn tortillas. Cashier turned, picked up bag from table behind her. I stopped her and asked, "Are these freshly made this morning?" Thank you for being honest, "No. They're from yesterday," she said. Then, I requested a freshly handmade dozen.I don't care what the price is as long as I get top quality, freshly made, and delicious.

Amazing customer service. The owner Vic, very helpful and kind. The establishment is very clean and prices are lower than anyone around. We travel 30 minutes for this place, worth the travel. The food is fantastic. The masa is very easy to work with and tastes great in our tamales. We've tried other places and nothing can compare! Highly recommend!
