We arrived on a Thursday evening and there were not many people there. That actually made our experience much nicer. Our drinks came out immediately, the waitress was awesome and it's a nice place overall. As for the food, it was delicious and the presentation of the food was great. It's a little quiet there but that may be due to the time we arrived. Excellent place to eat, give it a try!

I'm not sure where to start here, but we had a pretty awful experience here on 1/17/2025. The good: nice ambiance, friendly service. The okay: food. Everybody was in agreement that the food was incredibly salty and just very okay. The wine tasted like a cheap pour as well. The bad: to start, we were overcharged. When we pointed it out, they corrected the bill. We were very explicit when handing them cash inside of the bill and have the rest split between two cards. When they brought the bill back, one of the cards was charged $250, another $80, and the $155 of cash was pocketed as a tip on top of the 20% gratuity. We brought this to their attention and while they fixed it, they were hardly apologetic and the whole ordeal took about 35 minutes. Pay attention to your check if you come here. This was a bad enough experience that they lost 7 customers, none of us will be returning.

This restaurant is located right outside the Mission Inn Riverside. We came around the Christmas holidays, so everything was decorated and lighted so beautifully. Making a reservations online was not a problem. When we arrived, we were seated in about 15 to 20 minutes. I love the ambience and how the seating is outside with beautiful plants, fireplace, lighting, and they had live music playing. The food for us was just OK. It's a little bit overpriced, but honestly, you're just paying for the ambience. When we were first seated our server was very tentative, but then he disappeared after taking our order. We had to flag another server down just to ask for water and our bill.Would we recommend this place to friends and family? MaybeWill we be back there to eat? Most likely not.

Let me start off by saying how bad the reservation system is at the Mission Inn restaurants. Trying to get ahold of the people that take restaurant reservations is damn near impossible. First, my wife and I made reservations at the Mission Inn restaurant, they got the date wrong, and had to go through the long process of calling and waiting and waiting and waiting to get through. I was able to finally change the date. A week later, they canceled my reservation without notice. I once again had to call and wait about 40 minutes to find out why my reservation was canceled. Then my wife and I decided to book at Las Campanas because the Mission Inn restaurant was only going to offer the buffet on November 30th, so I booked a reservation for six people at 4:30pm for today. I got a text message with a link to Open Table. Inside the reservation it showed 11/30 but it looked like the Mission Inn restaurant reservation person booked us for December 30 (see picture below) But I told my wife that no matter what happens, we will argue with them because I told them THREE times that I wanted the reservation for 11/30 and it shows in the message that our reservation should be 11/30 despite the wrong input of 12/30 in Open Table.Well, my wife and I arrived early before my friend and his kids arrived. I told the young receptionist that we booked for 11/30 at 4:30pm after arriving at 4:15pm. She quickly dismissed me after looking at all the reservations at 4:30pm and not seeing my name. Then I looked up the Open Table reservation that showed BOTH dates (see pic below). She said she didn't know what to do so I asked to speak with her manager. The manager understood that the Mission Inn screwed up and told me that the best she could do was get me in at 5:15. I accepted that and I could tell she was trying to help me. We weren't able to get into the restaurant until 5:45pm. Thankfully, we were able to order fairly quickly and the chips and salsa were excellent. We had high hopes that our food would be good, but that wasn't necessarily the case.4 of us ordered Duane's burrito (see below) and you have a choice of beef or chicken and my wife got the fish tacos. The burrito was big but our burritos had lots of beans and lots of rice with little pieces of beef in it. My wife said her fish tacos were very dry.The only thing that saved our extremely disappointing experience was the atmosphere. Singers came to our table to sing a Christmas carol and the lights were beautiful outside. The worst part, however, was that we could not explore the hotel like previous years. The Mission Inn restaurant staff guarded the staircase and the elevator unless you were staying overnight at the hotel. We spent almost $200 on mediocre food after they screwed up our reservation (twice) and could not enjoy the whole experience of the Mission Inn.

I've eaten at Las Campanas a couple times now. Yesterday, I was at the restaurant for 1.5 hours and it felt like forever. We were waiting around and the food took a long time to come out. I ordered the grilled chicken tacos and my fiancé ordered the carne asada tacos. The grilled chicken tacos were just okay - not very warm, flavor was decent. I'd rate it a 6/10. The carne asada tacos were WAY better. The meat was juicy and flavorful. I'd rate it an 8.5/10. Unfortunately, I didn't take pics of the tacos because I was starving and needed to eat ASAP. The ambiance is always nice, but the wait time and service definitely knock the experience down a bit. Keep that in mind if you want to come here!

The dining experience was somewhat underwhelming. I ordered enchiladas filled with shrimp, anticipating a burst of flavor. However, when the dish arrived, I found it rather lackluster. It was served alongside a portion of fried beans and rice, but sadly, the overall taste was quite bland, lacking the rich and vibrant flavors I had hoped for. The shrimp was cooked well but didn't offer any seasoning to elevate the dish. Additionally, the service left much to be desired. The waitress seemed to struggle with the menu, which was frustrating. Whenever I asked her questions about the dishes or the bar offerings, she would frequently return to our table without the answers, making the whole experience feel disorganized. It was disappointing, as I was looking forward to trying something new but ultimately left feeling unsatisfied.

Great location for a Summer Saturday lunch with someone special! Garden setting, with ample shade and greenery and curious birds at your feet. Small menu options for Mexican restaurant, and quality of the food has greatly suffered from effects of COVID-19, thus the four star rating. Customer service is adequate, and the prices are typical for a tourist attraction. My chicken enchiladas with black beans and Spanish rice was OK, and the Shrimp Ceviche Tostadas were just OK as well. The blaring club-like music placed a damper on the overall ambiance of the dining experience. Sure you can get better Mexican cuisine within steps of the Riverside Mission.

Great location, decent service, and so so foods but they do make great drinks . Great that they have varies cuisines within the hotel, where festival of light located. If you dine there during sunset, you will have a great experience to see all the lights lite up, very festive & beautiful plus perfect for pictures. They do have indoor and outdoor (will be cold from Nov-April). The service can be tricky since, certain days there are folks will help you and there are days that you have to hunt them down for table. As for server, majority are kind and friendly and they will help you with what goods for the days and what to avoid, then there is small portion that just their for the paycheck...I been there at least 8X, solo, w/ friends, family, and works. The food is hit or miss (lack of favors, presentation looks great but no taste), if you stick w/ basic Mexican foods then most likely you will be good, I would recommended ask your waitperson. The drinks are fantastic especially margaritas - high end, average end, and even low end are still great. They come faster than the foods and I finished at least 1.5 or 2 before the food came. Next time, I would go for the drinks and the views and maybe for the desert.
