Lappert’s Ice Cream & Coffee

Temptation. Thy name is ice cream! Good quality ingredients, high fat content, excellent flavors. And when Mr B decides to go whole hog for a banana split, this is the place that pops in his head first.It's not for the timid, both in price and in size. I believe it was a $15 indulgence. But those huge scoops of insanely delicious strawberry, chocolate and vanilla ice cream, a beautiful, whole banana, all drenched in hot fudge, then adorned with toasted almonds, whipped cream, and a proliferation of maraschino cherries on top, made it a masterpiece. I was mad. He expected me to help him. I declined politely. Then lost all consciousness and woke some time later to find a well-licked, pink spoon in my hand and a large dent on my size. Oh the shame! So there you have it. I have sinned. And boy was it fun.

My husband and I were very excited to go to Lappert's today. We just moved to the area, but knew the Lappert's name from our vacations in Kauai and Palm Springs. I saw online that they even carried vegan oat milk based ice cream flavors and had dairy free options for their date shake. I'm allergic to dairy so I was looking forward to our visits. However, when we went to the store today the employee told me they do not carry any oat milk based flavors and they used regular dairy ice cream for their date shake and just add oat milk when the sign clearly says you can make it dairy free?? I was so disappointed by their false advertising. I even tried to clarify if the oat milk based ice cream was just not in the rotation this week and she said they never carry it. The sorbet I got was good and my husband enjoyed his regular ice cream but I do not understand why they would have these menus if it isn't true. What a huge disappointment. Please have an accurate menu or even better please add the oat milk based ice cream flavors to your rotation so your menu will be accurate. I would definitely go back if this was problem were fixed.

IT'S HOT IN RIVERSIDE! What better time than to jump in the car and cruise to the neighboring town of Norco for an ice cream cone. Why take the time for the drive? Well, for one, I'm retired, and it's not like I'm missing anything, except maybe for a rerun of Bonanza. Then again, it's always fun to see what mischief that Little Joe gets himself into. The main reason, though, is because from what I remember, Lapperts' ice cream is very good. I wanted to see if it was as good as when I was in Hawaii. That was over 30 years ago! Sure enough, it was as good. I ordered a scoop of coconut pineapple in a waffle cone. It was pineappley chunky good. It could have been more coconutty, though. It was kind of light in that respect. However, I still enjoyed it. Lapperts would have probably earned a 5 star rating from me had they had chocolate macadamia nut. That was my flavor memory from back in the day. I was told by the server that the boss told him that maybe it would be in stock in a couple of weeks. Well, they set the hook. Now, let's see if they can reel me back in two weeks from now. I'll return, but maybe not that soon. Though definitely, before another 30 years, drift by.Quick Tip: When I visited, I was the only patron in the store. Literally! Helloooo? Is anybody home? Nope. I wasn't worried. I knew someone would eventually show their face. Sure enough, someone did. He came in the same door that I did. But not before, I could have generously sampled a number of tasty offerings that lay before me. 30 years ago?? There wouldn't have been a question. But these days, times are tough. Maybe that's why I was the only one in the shop?

Takes me back to being in Hawai'i!! Kona coffee flavor always hits! Staff was friendly. I'll be back again! hopefully they have hot drinks since it's been getting colder.

My friend came down to our area to hang with us and we decided to get ice cream for the kids and found this place. I've never heard of this place but from her review of what she remembers, she's had this before in Vegas and said it was pretty good since it has Hawaiian flavors , we decided to try this location. It's hidden next to the Grocery outlet and you cannot see it from the street. Good thing google maps helped me find it. HahaAnyways- kids got the usual Cookie Monster and cotton candy flavor. I got the salted caramel vanilla ice cream and it was creamy and flavorful. The server was nice and patient and also allowed us to sample a flavor before we decided on anything, which is nice. The place has a few photo ops with the ice cream picture on the wall so of course, like any mother, we had our kids stand and pose for us lol also for the inside, it has a good amount of seatings and clean/well kept. So that's a plus for sure for large groups! Overall, a good place for ice cream and will definitely be back to take the hubby to try.

Such a cute little establishment at Norco! The place is kept clean and super well-lit. As you walk in, you'll be met with a greeting and a display of cupcakes along with two displays of ice cream options. We went with Banana and Unicorn poop that evening. Both scoops came in with two small waffle cone wafers, which is such a nice touch! We also got an iced vanilla coffee as well. The ice cream flavors are delicious and there are so many other interesting flavors that I'd come back and try. The coffee was good. The service was great!

I used to love in LA and OC county where ice cream and dessert places were bountiful and high quality. I didn't think I could I find a dessert place on par to those until I found Lapperts! They also had the ambiance of a cool ice cream spot that you would find in LA--clean, hip and modern!Their customer service is kind and friendly! Their ice cream tastes like real ingredients and their flavors are numerous. They even have flavors that are Hawaiian inspired, as the employee told me that was their specialty. I went with my standard go-to flavor, strawberry and one of their most popular seasonal ones, banana caramel with chocolate chips. It was so delicious! I hardly can ever eat a double scoop on my own but this combo was soooo good I could have finished a quadruple scoop. If you also go to the Round Table next door, I was told you get 15% of their ice cream. If you're not in the mood for ice cream, they also have a good selection of shakes and coffee drinks. I will definitely be back! Run not walk here!

Service was great, nice sunny ambiance inside and a wonderful smell upon entrance. Sampled the green tea and key lime. Both were underwhelming. I got the blueberry and wife got the praline. The praline was very very good. The blueberry could've had more flavor and they probably should expand the flavors available. However it is a nice ice cream shop to take the kids to enjoy. They also have cookies, brownies and cupcakes.

Time is not updated. Got to the place at 8:30 pm and doors were closed but open light was on. Cashier looked me in the eye as I was walking up to the door but couldn't open the door nor let me know the hours had changed.
