Lantern Vietnamese Cafe is one of my favorite spots for a comforting meal! Their vegan pho has such a rich, flavorful broth, and the variety of fresh veggies makes it really satisfying. I like to pair it with the tofu spring rolls and request a peanut sauce that's perfectly creamy and just the right amount of sweet and savory.I also love their Fried Tofu Banh Mi-the crispy tofu, crunchy peanuts, and flavorful sauce make an amazing combination, and the baguette is nice and flaky. It's one of those sandwiches that hits the spot every time. The chicken pho is also really tasty, with a clean, well-seasoned broth and a generous amount of chicken breast and garnished with bean sprouts and basil. It's simple but done really well. The atmosphere is nice too, since it's inside a food market hall, so it feels lively but not overwhelming. The service has always been friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better!

I love love love the lemongrass pork sandwich (sorry I know it's not a sandwich but I forget the proper name). We've also ordered the egg rolls and spring rolls, they're good but nothing too special. My review is specifically for the sandwiches, so dang good! We also tried the pork belly option, equally delicious. It's our go to for yummy Vietnamese sandwiches.

I visited Lantern Vietnamese Cafe inside Haven City Market on a Sunday with some church friends and family. We decided to order a variety of items to share, including the Garlic Fried Rice with shrimp (for an extra $3) and a Thai Tea. After ordering, I waited about 15 minutes before my pager went off to pick up the food. The garlic fried rice was tasty, with fresh vegetables that added a nice balance. The shrimp was decent, though nothing exceptional. The Thai Tea was just right and complemented the meal perfectly, helping to wash everything down. The staff was friendly, and the ambiance at Haven City Market is always nice, with plenty of seating and a vibrant atmosphere. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back to try more from their menu.My Personal Rating : 4.2Food 4/5Service 4.1/5Price 4.3/5Ambiance 4.3/5Cleanliness 4.3/5

Located in Haven City, you walk in and head straight to the back where they have a few seats designated just for the café. Unfortunately, the food is overpriced for the portion and quality. Both the chicken pho and the special pho were very average in flavor--nothing really stood out. There also wasn't much protein in either dish, and the broth wasn't hot enough. It took a while for the noodles to soften, and lukewarm pho just isn't enjoyable.Overall, there's not much to say about this place, and honestly, I wouldn't return for the pho.

Alright, KYLE, if you are reading this review, you will be pleased to know that I approve of the Fried Tofu Banh Mi!! I have never had tofu in a banh mi before, but I had to take you up on your recommendation since I have tried every other kind already. I was gonna go with my usual pork belly, but I honestly didn't miss it today! The bread was nice and soft on the inside, and it had a nice crisp outside. The only thing I didn't like was the jalapeño inside it because I'm a weenie, and I have a very low spice tolerance. BUT, I am not deducting any stars for that because Kyle delivered on customer service, and my food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. I also ordered the Spring Rolls, and they were a good portion, with the right price. Be careful not to get a napkin close to the wrapper because I had to pick mine off, lol! The peanut sauce was a bit watery, but it was still good nonetheless. The 2 rolls satisfied my craving for a healthy dish. I took about 2 bites of the sammie and then decided to take it home for dinner (I had to dissect it to pick out the jalapeños, lol).Well done, Lantern Vietnamese Cafe!! Good fresh food made to order, with decent pricing!Thank you again, Kyle, for not steering me wrong and for posing with me, haha! You need a raise! I shall return! ;)

I visited this restaurant several times over the year and always love trying a new item and/or drink.I ordered:Filet Mignon Banh Mi - The bread was perfectly crunchy and soft to eat. The meat was perfectly marinated, and I enjoyed it. Honey Peach with Crystal Boba - They gave me the wrong boba add on. I wanted to get crystal boba, but they gave me the regular boba. The regular boba made my drink soggy or mushy to drink. I didn't want to wait so I stuck with the wrong boba. It came with bits of peaches. I don't recommend adding boba to Honey Peach tea drink. Overall, it was good.

Located in haven city market. I only tried their Vietnamese coffee and wow it was strong lol I was literally shaking from the caffeine hahaha but it tasted really good! I'll prolly get it again. Service was good. Place looked clean. It's located near all the claw machines. Their banh mi looked good too, I'd try it next time!

Located in the Haven City Market this place serves up solid pho. I would say it is on the pricey side ($16) for pretty standard tasting pho but it wasn't too bad. I tried out these two items.Special Pho - It tastes how it should. Flavors were good and portions were average, a bit small for the price. Meat quality wasn't bad. (4/5)Spicy Shrimp and Pork Udon - I guess this was kind of like banh canh. It was good but also nothing spectacular. Came out piping hot. (4/5)The selection was a bit limited for a Vietnamese restaurant but I guess it's kind of like one of those express restaurants since it's in a food market. For $34, I was expecting a bit more but anyways for a small pitstop and craving pho, this hit the spot.

I had some tasty Filet Mignon Pho here recently! The service was extremely fast and not so busy at the time. I really enjoyed how they packed my order, separating the broth from the condiments in cute to-go container. I am a person that is not crazy about having tons of meat in my pho, so it was perfect for me. However, if you are looking for more meats with tons of variety, this might not be the place for you.

My eldest daughter and I came to Haven City Market to offer our patronage at some of its food vendors. One of our stops was Lantern Vietnamese Cafe. We love Vietnamese foods. It's great to have them here in Rancho Cucamonga.I ordered the Firecracker Shrimp as it is a favorite of my daughter. It came with 5 deep fried shrimps with dipping sauce and a very tiny salad. I thought the portion was a tad small for the price IMHO. Shrimp was delicious, but I wished there were at least 6 shrimps so my daughter and I could have 3 each... we had to split #5 half and half LOL. Salad could have been more plenty at least one green leaf per shrimp. Dipping sauce was tasty though. There are plenty of seating. Please note the tables have a reserved sign on them. If you didn't buy from them, please don't sit in their area. They are reserved for their customers only. Staff was okay. Service was decent. Prices are average. Overall, it was an okay experience. We may return to try their noodle soup and vermicelli dishes.
