La Michonana

Located in the Tri City Center, near See's Candies, is easy to find with ample parking. As you can see from my store front and inside ice cream counter pics, it is a very straight-forward ice cream place. We were there a bit early and window shopped at adjacent businesses, and they opened promptly. The staff was very efficient and helpful (we appreciated our free tastings of new (to us) ice cream.In my ice cream pic we had See's Candy ice cream and Cookie Monster. Both were good. We liked the crunch of the bits and pieces in each ice cream. While we couldn't tell which See's Candy was in the ice cream, is it was good. I ended up with the requisite blue tongue after my indulgence.

-Costumer service: smiley and super helpful employee working extremely hard during the superbowl weekend yet she took her time to help me out and explained the drink to me. -Ambiance: was clean and organized-The drink was a good refreshment and if you are looking for that spicy and tasty mango!

I got fruit and fuit tasted old. Watermelon was extremely slimy (extremely past ripen stage)and the jicama tasted like old rotten fruit. I would not recommend getting fruit here. The coconut ice cream was good though.

We need champurrado ice crean here, that's my only complain.. Always bomb fresas con crema, esquimales, and elotes!!

Located in a strip mall next to the See's Candies in the same parking lot as CVS and Big Lots. There is ample parking. They have great and extended hours on the weekend. Don't be intimidated of the location in the evening. It is well lit. This is a fantastic Raspado shop. The homemade ice creams bars are endless. Incredible flavor. Yes, this type of demographic shop caters to the Latin community. However, do not allow that to scare you. You'll regret not entering. They have tostilocos, auga fresa (at minimum it's six a day. They have a list next to the register of their fresh juices.) My absolute favorite is the sandia (watermelon) and my daugther loves the cucumber lime. Also so refreshing and tasty. They have hot Cheeto bags that they drench in nacho cheese! Oh, my! Here's a secret. Corn on the cob Mexican style is the same price if you get it in the clear container. You actually get soo much more. They ladle fresh steamed corn, layered with mayo, cheese, lime juice IF you wish chile powder and again repeats this method until it's filled completely to the rim. It's huge. Seriously. My daughter and I share one and can barely finish it. I omit the chile for her not because I'm a whimp or anything. The smoothies are great, the banana splits, and soo much more. The flavors of ice cream are epic. Everything from cotton candy, strawberry fruit (with actual bits of fruit in it) to Ferrero Rocher! I mean come the freak on! There are a few tables inside to dine in if you decide to. There is a restroom for customers. This place is spotless. The owners take pride in the appearance of their business. There is a slight language barrier but it's nothing to inconvenience or upset you. The employee's there are fantastic. The two mature women are my favorite. Especially the one I joke with and call her "abuelita" meaning grandma in Spanish. She's a character and soo kind. Also keep in mind they now have a fee charge on cards. I would suggest cash if you don't want the extra fee. It's also mentioned at the registers.

Great customer service. And my son loves the butterfly paintings. My husband got the nanche paleta I think it's called and I got the watermelon ice cream and some aguas frescas so good and refreshing when it's this hot

What can I say? They're friendly and the food is delicious as expected! Mangonada and elote is bomb!

Why is it closed on a Saturday at 1pm???????!!! Drove 15 mins for nothing! At least update your hours.

We were here for the week and we unfortunately found this place on our last full day here. They have incredible ice cream and incredible staff. We will be back next year for the revival and we will 100% be back!!
