I had to get my tires rotated this morning at Rene's tire shop on University. I asked one of the workers for a recommendation to eat Mexican food. He recommended this place. I was hesitant to come by based on the poor reviews. But, I came and I am glad I did! I had the al pastor burrito and after tax it came out to 6.50. The burrito was pretty good. What I like about this market is the down to earth neighborhood store vibe. The owner working the cash register made small talk with the customers as he was processing their transaction. This type of interaction creates a warm and welcoming environment. There isn't seating in this place so expect to eat your food in the parking lot or at home. Finally, the place has an A rating. So if your looking for a clean low key place to get some tacos or a burrito you should consider giving this place a try.

Went there for lunch ordered a pastor burrito and a maget crawled out!!! Gross!!! Called to complain they said we have had a couple calls for the same thing but it's from our vegetables so it's ok just come get another burrito!!! Seriously!!! This is bad

This place may be labeled as a grocery store, and they do have groceries I guess, but they also have the best burritos in Downtown Riverside. They don't have green sauce, but their meat is quite good.Their only competition is El Colima, which is not in Downtown Riverside, but is a fast food place and not a grocery store and has a much wider variety of foods available. But if I'm in Downtown Riverside and looking for Mexican food I (by far) prefer La Michocana to what other offerings there are.

Don't get me wrong i "USED" to love this place until today I've been coming here since i was little today did it for me i bought two carnitas tacos and one asada burrito after two bites MAGGOTS started crawling out! Soo dam gross..i wish i would have taken a picture for proofs but my husband and i were so upset i rushed to show them! They acted surprised and said Sorry....sorry didn't cut it now im at ER given medicine for parasites yes gross... eat at your own risk
