La Michoacana Fresh Ice Cream & Smoothies

Ice cream is as it should always be. Tasty. Location is not ideal. It's crunched between a gas station, laundromat, and a burger joint. Parking is extremely limited. Worst part is that on a hot summer day..no seating is allowed. Anywhere. They have tables and chairs but they don't allow people to sit inside.

This location is pretty rundown on the inside, but usually the best restaurants are I've only been here once before and didn't like it but I decided to give it a second chance and I should've stayed away. The staff is friendly, but the food tasted old like it's been sitting out all day ordered tostilocos it was prepared very basic, minimal ingredients like cueritos, jícama y pepinos, once I started to eat them, I noticed the cueritos had a bad aftertaste I tossed them out. I will definitely be sticking to my go to location on Central and walnut.

So this was a really hot day, perfect for ice cream. We have been to a la michoacana on San Fernando and liked it. Not a well run business. No chairs, not sure if that is due to covid, I thought we were over that. It was hot in there, they had fans going, so I wonder if they are too cheap to use A/C. The service was so slooow. The counters were not set up efficiently, they had to keep walking back and forth and going to the back. The workers were not very fast, the women seemed like she didn't know what she was doing asking the guy questions. They would make one cup put it in the cooler and start the next one. We were there for half an hour. Under staffed, inefficient work stations, slow workers equals slow service, in a hot store with no chairs is torture.

The fruits here is really fresh! I loved it! It was so refreshing to eat. The chamoy is perfectly balanced too, not too candy like. Service was friendly which is nice. They have a lot of topping options compared to other places! Also their price is really good too! They had a variety of food, desserts and snacks that I've yet to try.

I was in the mood for some paleta and of course this place did not disappoint. They had an enormous selection of paletas and loved the different combination. Today, I selected to get the avocado and cookies and cream. Both were milky and was not overly sweet. I loved the big pieces or avocado in the ice cream. Also, I got an elote! This was good as well. I cannot wait to go back to try out the other paletas!

If I could leave 0 stars I would !!It took the kid 20mins to pour cheese on chips and another 30mins to get cheese and jalapeño TO TOP IT OF WE WERE THE ONLY PEOPLE IN THERE, so it seriously makes no sense why it was taking him so long !! We asked him to put more cheese on the first one since I'm sure they were cold and soggy and he just said "I'm sorry for the wait " and yet he didn't even add cheese on the first order !! At one point everyone was in the back and didn't tell us anything and we were waiting to pay , at this point we got tired of waiting we ended leaving !!! Honestly the worst services every! If it was packed and busy I would get it but we were the only people in there so there was no excuse !

If you don't mind waiting half an hour for the single employee to prep your order then your good, but if you are in a hurry or desperately thirsty/hungry then your in big trouble walking in to this spot. Although the wait is horrible the ice cream and drinks were good.

We love this particular location, very close to everything. Delicious ice cream ( in many flavors ) and the nicest, most polite employees, great customer service and very generous portion of ice cream.

I arrive to order strawberry' n cream. I watched him the way he was preparing the food I'm about to pay for and I ask him why are you gonna touching my strawberries with the dirty gloves that he used to answer a call on his cellphone, instead of him changing his gloves he looks at me and he said if you don't like it, go away. That was very rude all I wanted was no germs on my appetizer.I walked away and never coming back horrible customer service.

They need help I love this place always super clean .. super nice ... food is awesome Just slow
