La Michoacana Bonita

This gringa had her first Elote & Mangoniada, and my life is forever changed. This brought me so much joy, and I am now going to be a regular patron to your fine establishment! Muchos Gracias!

I always come here, I swear they know me as soon as I walk in ahah. Everyone is so friendly, the staff is younger so please be nice, they are trying to help the best they can. I always get to tostilocos and mangonadas. It always smells so clean and nice and cold inside on a hot summer day. The food and snacks are always much! I recommend the popsicles too, my kids love the blue cookie ones.

I love La Michoacana! This spot is close to me and close to all my services in town so I like to treat myself here with ice cream or tasty treats. I usually go to la Michoacana on van Buren because it's in the same lot at Tijuabirria, this one is just as good. All of them are GENEROUS WITH ICE CREAM!I ordered the tostilocos, beats the shhh out of salad, I love spicy, sour and bitter stuff so I recommend this to people who love those flavors. Tostilocos hits the spot for me, fun to eat. And then I got one giant scoop of rompope ice cream - eggnog with raisins. Sooo good, Ima keep coming back to try all the different treats! They have a wide ranging menu of stuff they make and serve - sweet crepes, tamales, hot porridge drink, fermented masa drink, different Popsicles, shakes, chamoy dressed cheetos and fresh cut veg and fruits, etc.

Asco asco y mucho asco!!!! No pierdan su tiempo en este lugar tan asqueroso!!! Está tan sucio y las muchachas se ven sucias! La nieve no es para tanto! Por favor aprendan a tener mejor servicio al cliente gente corriente y chafa! Please do yourself a favor and don't waste your time and money in this disgusting dirty place! Plus customer service is the worst... ummm not here satan!

I was a little put off by the reviews of people mentioning their bad experiences, but my son really wanted a mangonada, so we figured we would give this place a try anyway. One woman seemed to be working alone, but she got through the line of people quickly, even with most people (including us) ordering multiple items. They had a special on the paletas, so you get 2 free with the purchase of a dozen. We got the dozen to take home. I chose about 8 and asked her to select some random ones for the rest, and all we've tried so far have been delicious. The strawberry yogurtand the pistachio paleta are my favorites so far. My kids and I got mangonadas - they were topped with mango chunks, some tamarindo/chile candy bits, a tamarindo straw & chamoy. They were great! The queso ice cream was unique. It was a little tart like cheesecake flavored ice cream. My son got the chocolate abeulita ice cream, and it had a good chocolate cinnamon flavor. I hope they stay open, but I did notice they may be selling the restaurant. Overall, it was a great experience, and the negative reviews must have involved a different employee because the woman working during our visit was professional and super nice. We will definitely be coming back.

They don't put mayo in the esquite. Esquite is supposed to have mayo right? And then to top it off the place is hot!!!! It's a cool night at 66 degrees and it felt like it was 90 degrees inside the place.

After a family day out and wanting to end our night with dessert. Lady's were inside during working hours with the doors locked not accepting clients. This was at 8pm on a Sunday when they should be open until 10! While my child was crying outside for ice cream!!! And they just looked over the door and continued their conversation "rude" whomever hired and manages this location is not doing their job by checking in on their workers! Changing my ice cream preferences location !!!! Starting after this experience!

I would not give this any stars if that was an option.This evening I went in to buy ice cream with my kids, when we were refused service by a young lady.. The young lady asked if we speak Spanish and when i said no she replied No service.... with the language barer and the tables blocking the view of ice cream counter we had to leave.This is a VERY UNPROFESSIONAL location and I wouldn't recommend this location to anyoneThere is another location on 2955 Van Buren Boulevard. With 5 stars for a reason....

Watermelon and mango nieves to the rescue!!! Very flavorful and refreshing all at once. Liked that the tables (were definitely clean) but had some games to play while enjoying the treat. Kids can get chalky on their wall! Cool spot!

Place looks clean. Two younger males helped us, quiet but polite. They changed out their gloves between each thing they did. They actually helped quickly( can't be said about all places)Had a fun little black board on the side. I ordered a banana split, esquites and tostilocos all pretty good
