La Mexicana Restaurant

I hate giving one stars but the I've gotta this time. I found them on Instagram. I saw lots of really good reels showing delicious brunch offerings. I was excited to visit so I took the whole fam. The dining room was packed. We were seated quicker than expected, so that was nice. When we sat, our waiter was slow and neglected our table quite a bit. I was grossed out immediately after being seated. Everything felt sticky; table, seats, and menus. Bathrooms were atrocious as well. Not well stocked, or well kept.The food itself was quite a disappointment. Pictures and videos make it look good, but nothing really stood out in terms of flavor or uniqueness. Then we got the check. It was shockingly high. The prices listed on the receipt did not match the menu either, so they up charged us. I treated the staff with kindness and respect throughout our time here, even though they neglected us, so I wasn't sure why they up charged us. I kindly asked about the discrepancy and they said their prices increased etc. It was bad all around.

Really cute strip mall locals mexican place. Plenty of parking spots in the lot for everyone and accessible. Inside really is not big at all! The servers are the bartenders, hostess, and servers - they do it all! The two of them were super friendly and running all over the place with great service. I would say the specials are worth it here or regular plates can run pretty expensive. The chile verde burrito special was only 13 dollars and it was HUGE! Husband said it was really good. I had a three item combo to try and sample a little of everything. The chili relleno was fresh and sooo good, enjoyed the cheese enchilada as well. Drink prices are much better on happy hour, if you order a full size cadillac margarita it is 20 dollars. So I say this place is worth it if you go during certain days or times of the week. Same for breakfast, they have specials during the weekdays that have stellar pricing.

Best food best service ever we love La Mexican can't wait for there expansion we love there homemade tortillas and chili verde

A small strip mall mom and pop place, which I enjoy giving them business since it's not a big chain restaurant. I ordered pork carnitas since I read through reviews and saw them recommended and also with the additional comment that they are not heavily salted. They were very good and the portion was very generous. The service was very nice despite the little restaurant was very busy and people packed in everywhere they could put them. The margaritas also were very good and refreshing.The not so good... both our chips and tortillas (and the others I saw being served to other people) were suffering from the oil being too high when cooked. Our tortilla chips, which I really wanted to be able to enjoy, I could not eat. They were overdone to the point of not tasting good. The tortillas (which they claim are homemade but they may be just "home cooked") were burnt spots on the outside and the inside of the tortillas was undercooked and raw. I've done this myself at home with the take home to cook tortillas which is what these reminded of.I really wanted to like this place since we've heard very good things about it but that just wasn't our overall experience.

Excellent service and the food is very flavorful and plentiful! Excellent Mexican food, authentic!

Party of 2, my husband ordered the Machaca breakfast, he enjoyed the bursting flavors of the combined shredded beef, eggs, onions, green bell peppers, tomatoes, & some jalapeños (not hot) perfectly seasoned. My chile verde with the over-easy eggs was just simply delicious, as a chile verde connoisseur I can say the flavors were on point, plus the homemade tortillas . My husband was happily surprised the establishment has a full bar. He ordered a shot of Jameson to add to his coffee. Service was fast and our waitress was very friendly, she kept on checking on us for more coffee or anything else. Overall we were very satisfied!

First time here and food was really good and portions were huge!I had the chilaquiles verde and my husband had the chili verde burrito we both had left overs for dinner! Service was great and everyone was friendly we will definitely be back

Lots of good dishes! Super friendly staff.I recommend the chile verde burrito wet. Good margaritas too.

My wife and I are regulars and order takeout atleast once every 1-2 weeks. This place is consistently good and has the best and most well seasoned california burrito I've ever had. Please don't ever change the recipe

Tortillas are home made and breakfast is good. Wasn't a fan of the rellenos or enchiladas. Hard shell tacos are good.
