La Mazorca

Amazing food, great people!As you can see from my photos, the food is out of this world!! Got pollo, lengua, cabeza, and carnitas tacos with torta de milanesa, chile con carne y papas, and all the fixings. Then, another time got asada and pollo tacos and pupusas with a bunch of pastries. Everything was delicious and very flavorful. The parking lot isn't huge but people are in and out in a few minutes so you're not waiting on a parking spot. Their bakery next door that has some of the best pastries I've ever tasted! I cannot remember names but I'd definitely go back for any of them!

If your a carne asada snob than you have to try their carne asada. We love their carne asada from here. It has great flavor and the meat is so tender. We did a taste test with three different carne asada at a party and everyone voted for this place. All the workers there are friendly and so helpful. The store is small and has limited items but they also have a deli where they sell cooked food items like sopes, pupusas, nachos, tortas, etc. If you haven't checked them out than you're missing out.

Got recommended this place I bought un tamal de elote súper dry when you eat it has no special taste don't recommend ‍

El mejor lugar para masa de tamales y tortillas, un lugar muy mexicano y las personas muy lindas para atender al cliente, el pan super rico, yo lo recomiendo.

Worst customer service, the place very dirty, the food looks scary!! I asked for " barbacoa de borrego" I got something salty else, WONT come back!

Usto really like this place but recently visited and they are seriously nickeling and diming their customers. TERRIBLE customer service, i heard they are under new ownership and the owner is really cheap and it's trickling down to the staff, they work against each other to the point they are looking at the number of salsas given to a customer. For example I purchased over $75, order 3lbs of carnitas, buche, 2 large rice and 2 large beans and other items. They only gave me 2 salsas...when I inquired for extra they told me no that's all they can give. Definitely, disappointing, I understand trying to watch profit margins BUT really over salsa! SAD!!

Meat is overpriced for nothing special other than some salt. Bought the ranchera supposedly prepared @9.75/lb. Not worth walking into this place.

While driving through Riverside County for work, I was listening to KCRW's Good Food podcast, and they had a series of episodes called the Great Tortilla Tournament (google it). Even though this was for LA-based tortillerias, the hosts mentioned that La Mazorca from Riverside County had scored high marks. That was enough information for me to make a U-turn and head to La Mazorca. The tortillas are stored in a big cooler to stay warm. I tried the blue and yellow corn tortillas, and I bought a motherlode of queso fresco, all for a great price. The queso fresco lasted a long time in our fridge at home, but the tortillas were best while fresh and warm. The staff were super friendly, and the lady at the register showed me where to find everything. There are a couple tables inside with a taco and pupusa counter. Next time I will stay for lunch!

Went to La Mazorca today trying to buy meat for our BBQ. I was refused service because I didn't have a mask. Since when did La Mazorca become Dr Fauci and his stupid rules. I looked around and everyone was wearing a cheap paper mask (doesn't protect you). I will never step foot in this store again. I went across the street to Carniceria Del Sol and got my 10 pounds of food. If La Mazorca is going to require customers to wear a mask, provide an N95 mask to customers that want to play this game with misinformation.

I went there to eat a burrito and buy some stuff. When I was greeted by the lady, she did not say good morning she said where's your mask if you don't have one we sell you one. She was so concerned about my mask that I told her why are you employees not wearing gloves or washing their hands and she said they do. I told her I have been here for five minutes and they have not wash there hands at all
