Listen. A good down home breakfast place is priceless if you can find one. This place is phenomenal. I feel like I stepped into my Grandmas house in the early 90s with the vintage furnishings and it just added to the cozy experience. We came in October and their Pumpkin Pancakes are the best pancakes we've ever had. Highly recommend this place.

We came to this restaurant on Super Bowl Sunday 2025 with a party of 8 for my mothers birthday. We expected it to be busy, so when they quoted us a 20-30 minute wait, we were fine with it. Those 30 minutes, plus some, went by and a tall young man calls us and offers to sit us in two booths, sitting back to back. We gratefully decile as we are celebrating my mother and we would like to sit together. At this point smaller parties are getting little to no wait time and we understand that a party of 2-4 is easier to seat than a party of 8. Now, I'm not sure if he was a host or some sort of management but he approaches us 15 mins later and tells my mother to follow him and he would show her where he was offering to seat us, I followed and again he offered two booths apart from each other. Or we could wait a little longer for a table for 8 that would become available soon. We told him we were in no rush and would like to sit together. We walk back to the front and we notice that smaller parties that arrived well after us have been sat in tables next to each other that could have otherwise been pushed together for a larger party. Again, we attempt to be patient as my mother really wanted to eat here. The straw that broke the camels back was when an hour and 20 have passed and we have yet to be sat. A party of 7 walks up and get sat immediately where we were told we would be sat at. When I pressed the issue, this poor excuse for a manager or host chuckles and tells me "oh yeah I forgot" and proceeds to offer us two separate booths again. I've never seen such a pathetic display of customer service nor of front of the house coordination. I unfortunately did not catch that young man's name but if he's in charge of any portion of operations then this restaurant must be desperate because this man does not know up from down.

We usually come here for a work related celebration... birthdays of colleagues, work anniversaries, etc. My group works night shift so we come here straight from work and have breakfast. We esp. love the Wingdings, waffle and the hot chocolate or Oreo shake.Food: I can say that it is consistent. Every time we come here, it tastes the same and quality is great. Service: Fast and friendly.Ambiance:We like staying at the back coz it gives a honey vibe. It doesn't feel like a restaurant.

I can't believe I have never graded this place, this restaurant has always been a go to for Fried chicken in Riverside. I was introduced to this place by some family a long time ago and I always come back to it. This restaurant is definitely a "home style" type of restaurant with its service, environment, and food. From breakfast to dinner no matter what you get the food is fantastic. I know it's been awhile since I've had a plate of Fried Chicken and I'm glad to say it's still delicious and moist. As well as the cornbread muffin.

I was greeted when I walked in, and seated right away I ordered the "Fried Pickles" however I really can't give an HONEST REVIEW on them because I don't feel it would be Fair to this ESTABLISHMENT.... Below you will see the photo of them .. the "Presentation" was Horrible... besides they were SUPER CRISPY aka a bit BURNT... but I'd give them another try on a different day....as far as the "AMBIANCE" it was nice,, made you feel right at home.. a "cozy" little spot..

We went for breakfast and the first thing that stood out to us as we looked at the menu is how much of it was made in house at the restaurant instead of pre-done and just warmed up by them.The Kountry hash is a perfect example of a hash that was clearly mixed together and cooked well for the order and definitely not from a can which if you're a corned beef hash fan you know is way too common. The bacon and home potatoes were very good. The pancakes filling. But the biscuits and gravy were the favorites, not too dense but didn't get soggy even with the ample tasty serving of gravy. Service was friendly, the wait not too long and coffee refills timely. A comfortable spot for a weekend breakfast with good serving sizes for the value.
