Koji Ramen

I'm not really looped into the whole ramen culture and have only been to a few places, but think this place is really solid. I've only ever got tonkotsu ramen, because when you find something that you love, why change?' The great think about ramen is that it's highly customizable, and this place is no different. I usually get mine medium spicy, extra chashu and extra egg. Perfect on cold days.This place seems to have a lot of turnover of staff, but have never had a bad experience.

Good ramen! Very simple but hits the spot after a day of work. Ordering is simple where you pay first at register then pick a seat. The photo menu is much appreciated. Clerk is friendly. Their noodles are different than other places in terms of shape and texture. Their soft boiled egg is perfection.Kuro ramen- broth is garlicky and toasty! Really good. Butter ramen- lots of corn, love the seaweed and how cooked the beansprouts are as they're still crunchy. I would say the broth is alright though as pork part of the broth doesn't really come through. It's more on the salty side than the umami.I like how they do their chasu as there's actual taste to the meat from the grill.

I came on a Wednesday for lunch around 12 PM and it was not crowded at all. It's a small restaurant where you place and pay for your order up front and they'll bring the food to your table. There were a lot of parking spots available as the restaurant is located in a plaza. The service we received was great, the girl who helped us out was quick to bring out our orders and any condiments that we asked for. - Spicy Koji Ramen (5/5): The broth was super yummy and rich in flavor. Usually when I order ramen, I finish all the contents inside and leave some broth but when I was done with this one, there was not a single drop left. The broth was the STAR of the dish.- Jumbo Shrimp Roll (4.9/5): This roll was pretty good. I liked the big crunchy shrimp tempura in the center. The crab on top got a little bit messy but otherwise, also very tasty. - Alaska roll (5/5): First of all, the salmon was nice and fresh, so A+ so far. I loved how they added drops of lemon juice on top, killing any unwanted bacteria, but at the same time giving the sushi extra flavor.This restaurant is very close to the Cal Poly Pomona campus so it's perfect for a quick bite in between classes. I will be back in the future!

We came here after a long day of travel and we're not disappointed. It wasn't too busy inside and we got served pretty quickly. The ramen itself hit the spot after a long day and tasted delicious. The broth was the standout, as it was a nice creamy texture and extremely flavorful. Overall, we loved this place so much and can't wait to come back again!

It's a nice place to get sushi when you aren't feeling fancy and just want to eat it. The ramen is okay and the sushi is a bit below par but still good to satisfy a craving. The service was good but I think they might've been a bit understaffed because we needed chopsticks and even after reminding our server it took a long time to get to us.

After picking up my eldest daughter from college, we came to Koji Ramen to get dinner for her. I had already eaten so nothing for me. I just needed to use the ladies room. They do have one restroom for women and one restroom for men. Thank you!We walked in to order for to-go. Not too busy at the time. Good space with interior seating. Lady who took our order was pleasant and nice. It didn't take too long for our order to be ready. Btw, they don't have water cups to-go... I asked.We got the salmon sashimi bowl. My daughter loved it. I did eat one piece of salmon... btw, it's my favorite fish. It was really good. Ginger was good, too.We would come back here another time to try out their ramen bowls and other sushi items. Thanks Koji Ramen for being here near Cal Poly Pomona for the college students!

Stopped by on Saturday, 07/27/24 for the first time. Dined in for lunch and ordered the following:- 1 Butter Corn Ramen = $14.99- 1 Black Yasai Ramen = $15.99- 1 Salmon Teriyaki Bowl = $13.99SUBTOTAL $44.97TAX = $4.61TOTAL = $49.58Wait time was minimal. Not a lot of customers so it was nice to basically have the entire place to ourselves. You order up front first then choose where you would like to sit after.Towards the end I also ordered:- 1 Green Tea Ice Cream = $4.97 (yum!)This location is near the Cal Poly Pomona Campus. 5/5!

Get this. The Koji ramen, yeah the thing that names this restaurant, get it. Being a ramen shop, you can tell that their pork broth has been simmering for hours and has a well-rounded cohesive flavor from all the meat and bones stewing. You get bits of pork when you're drinking the broth and that's a very good sign that its a well made bowl of ramen. Now pair that with the spicy seasonings, the variety of seafood (and you get a good amount), a soft-boiled egg, nappa and bean sprouts, and perfectly cooked ramen noodles, every bite is so good as you tour through the toppings you receive. Its whole and well sized mussels, scallops, and shrimps. It's similar to a Korean Jjamppong. There is a deep richness reflected in the color and viscosity of the broth. We also make it a point to get their sushi because its nice and clean and fresh! Love the little bit of lemon when we get a Rainbow Roll. All of it is good, and I like that they do not overcrowd the roll with too much rice. I don't know if it's because we come here often, but the staff always makes us feel well taken care of. They are at the ready to refill waters or accommodations. Love Koji Ramen!

Food is always delicious. Unfortunately I am docking one star due to service, because I was requested to move (after paying and sitting) to a different spot. Which is rude, considering you order and then sit. If the person that was behind me wanted to have a bigger table for their party they should've called in or gotten there sooner. No one from the party went to go reserve a seat! Or even apologized for inconveniencing, I feel like this could have been handle differently. No review would've been sent had there simply would have been a "sorry". An apology goes a LONG way.

We had seafood ramen and it's delicious! So light & tasty broth with lots of squid, shrimp, scallop & mussels... we loved it! The combo add in with chasu rice bowl was yummy too. Will try more dishes on the menu next time.Service was good: Elizabeth & Michelle were both great waitress, very polite .Highly recommend Koji Ramen!
