This restaurant is now open for business and they mean BUSINESS! Fresh ingredients cooked well and on the mark, sometimes with a twist. The chef surprised me with his cooking techniques, pushed boundaries and yet managed to execute the dishes with such finesse. I was completely unprepared but pleasantly surprised when I was shown to this restaurant. The staff makes you feel right at home as you enjoy flavor packed sushi. Chef Steve personally came to greet us and provided us with a unique dish that will hopefully be joining their menu soon. They also have an all you can eat! Hole in the wall that wont disappoint or break the bank!

This place really went down hill! This WAS my local favorite sushi restaurant. I will no longer be a customer at Kibo . Recently ownership has changed and is currently having a hard time with staffing / quality/ and organization. The past 3 times (2 dine in 1 Togo ) have been terrible due to missing items from Togo or / forgotten items from dine in . Smaller portions- and lack of staffing support . No sauces given - Please do better !

This is like my 3rd or 4th review on this place. It's changed owners so many times. And usually my reviews are good. But this time was such a disappointment. Until it changes owners again we won't be coming back. And that's unfortunate because this place was our go to spot since it's close to home. Been coming here for years. The AYCE Sushi is still good. Everything tasted fresh. But the prices went up again. Seems like it goes up another dollar every time we go in. The woman, I assume one of the owners was very pushy and almost rushing us to put our order in. This was a celebratory dinner for my son and she set a bad tone. Then she proceeded on explaining to us that we have to eat everything we order otherwise we'll have to pay extra. Ok yeah, we get that. Like I said we've been coming here for years. And it just wasn't what she was saying, it was her tone as well. Like we needed to be taught or something. Anyway, my oldest son and I were the only ones getting all you can eat. The rest of the family just wanted to order off the menu. Again, we've been coming here for years so we know what we are getting. My wife chose the two entrée meal or how ever it's worded. It used to come with a side of tempura and a few California rolls. Now they count the California rolls and the tempura as an entree. So you're getting a lot less for the same price. So that was a turn off. It used to be lively in there. TV's on and a fun atmosphere. It was almost depressingly quiet. It's such a shame how it's being ran now. What happened to the younger owners that reopened the place??? I thought for sure they'd make it because the food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Also it took a very long time for us to receive our order for the AYCE. It's like we were rushing to eat so we can order because they closed at 9 but last call was 730-8. It's currently a shadow of what it used to be. And that's really sad. I would like to say that I believe it was her husband who was VERY nice and attentive. He checked in us a lot and even went as far as apologizing for how our experience was going. We weren't rude or anything. My wife was just trying to explain to the woman how it used to be so she was a little surprised by the cutting changes but still charging the same price. Didn't make sense to us. Is what it is. So if anything the husband salvaged what would have been a terrible experience and what used to be our go to spot. If anyone reading this remembers how it used to be, it's not like that anymore. I hope they'll read this and make the positive changes back. Unfortunately I guess we'll never know unless I hear owners changed again because we won't be back.

This was only my second time coming here with my daughter and it's under new mgmt recently and I think it's just ok. The last mgmt team had Lunch and dinner prices for ayce sushi and now it's only one dinner price all day which is even higher than the last dinner price. I understand inflation and limiting higher mp sushi items to just one serving but at $40.99 and you don't get even one serving of uni? Also it's in a half abandoned mall in lake Elsinore. Most of the sushi was fresh enough but the ebi was a bit tough and dry and it was unnecessarily slow between ordering and receiving our sushi and there were only two other tables besides us. Overall 3 star experience. Would I come back? Probably not since there are other options in the area.

ANOTHER ...under new ownership...change. I've personally seen this place change owners 3x in the past 5 years. However, my friend and I liked going there for lunch BUT... TODAY, we went for tye first time under this 'new owner' and we were no longer happy. Holy cow... the Miso soup was warm water with some flour in it and a few pieces of Tofu. No taste. Disgusting look. Our chicken Teriyaki was literally cold and the dressing on the side salad seemed to be plain rice vinegar and also no longer to our liking. We were tye only 2 people in the restaurant at 12:30 pm. We will no longer go there now. We are sad but we want to go where our food is tasty.

Impromptu stop here and noticed it's a different name and owner once again. There's a Tesla charging station beside the El Pollo Chicken place as you enter thé shopping center. Thé lot is spacious with sporadic vacant shops and a few businesses like the Spectrum store, UPS Store, Sally's Beauty and few other stores/ restaurants. Overall, decent prices for their rolls ($1-$15ish) and all-you-can eat ($38ish) selections. Noticed more variety of entree options too: fried rice, bento boxes, curry, udon and even ramen. Look forward to trying those items another time. On this visit I opted for the shrimp tempura appetizer and the baked white fish sushi roll. Inconsistent shrimp tempura sizes (as seen in the photo) and the baked roll was a generous portion, but I'll remember to avoid the cucumbers in baked rolls in the future. Service was welcoming initially, but as the dining progressed, it was a bit slow. May or may not revisit, but it will just depend on what I may be craving.

Great spot for sushi. They have a lunch special which I highly recommend. We ordered the spicy tuna and Steelers roll. The Steelers is so good! I've never had lemon on sushi so it was a surprising twist. The service is great, I came here a second time and they remembered my order. The ambiance is clean and chill, I would definitely come again!TLDR; great local spot for sushi. Would recommend visiting during the lunch special for a great deal!

A great hole in the wall sushi place we discovered when we were shopping in the area. The inside is nice and quaint, and the service was quite good. They had just enough room for our party which was great. We got a range of sushi rolls, bento box, and curry. Their sushi was delicious and great for the price. The curry was delicious and was deconstructed down instead of all together. It was a nice change from the curry we're used to. The bento was great especially the fried veggies, and the salads tied it all together.Overall the food was good, the service was good, and the prices were fairly good. The menu is quite extensive and they have a listing of the current specials and offers written on their wall. Check this place out if you get the chance!

The food and sushi here is TERRIBLE! This was our third time here and was hoping for improvements but sadly I have to report a one star and one of the worst sushi experiences ever!My overview compared to the last ownership: hot saki is watered down, limited Japanese beer and unfiltered cold saki selection, sushi rolls are too big, white rice under cooked, ginger is not fresh, they served "bottled Costco" wasabi, the chef's appeared to be from central America and it was obvious they had no clue what they were doing, and the rolls did not have a balance of taste and flavor and in fact the spicy tuna fillers was acidly and the tempura was greasy and cold "as if it was a microwave dinner dish." and the rolls were placed together sloppy and loose. My honest opinion is that Stater Bros. sushi is more pleasant to the palate then this place. The night of this review my wife and I left this place nauseated and I vomited when I got home. Save your taste buds and money and dine elsewhere!

Was excited for new management , placed an order on phone for my boyfriend to pick upOrder placed at 6:33They said 30-45 min wait (no problem )Boyfriend shows up at 7:15 let's them know he's picking up an order , they say it's not ready yet (no problem ) until he sat there for 30 mins getting bad looks from the female who worked there and left him sitting up front and went and sat in the back and never once in a 30 min period came back to let him know about our order , I called from the same number I placed my order from hoping they could give us details about the order or if he should leave , they put the phone down to where I could just hear background noise , and forwarded my call each time I tried calling back , got no food and an hour of time wasted... unfortunate .
