Cute little Japanese restaurant and my comfort place for amazing sushi!The sushi chefs and waitstaff are always checking in on you and very friendly.My go-to orders are: nigiri combo and chirashi bowl.

Claremont Hidden Gem! I've seen this place numerous time driving by but my husband and I were looking for a non-AYCE place near us and came across this spot. Cute place with both inside and outside seating. Considering it being a Monday night the place was packed when we walked in at 6:10 PM.We sat at the bar and ordered our beers first and then we opted in for their deluxe sushi dinner. Food was superb and their deluxe sushi is worth your money. You get assorted 11 premium sushi which you can't get for $39.99. Other places will charge you at least $80 to $100 per person for something like this. Sushi chefs and servers were so welcoming there especially us being korean. They were extra nice to us. Definitely will be visiting them again for their sushi. Quality was amazing and service was over the top too. Any locals who crave good sushi at a reasonable price this is the spot. Parking can get tricky but you have street parking or structure. Great date night spot and must try.

Just wonderful! Enjoyed the Tuna Tataki for a lite healthy lunch with lightly seared tuna arranged beautifully with lettuce leaves finished with a ponzu sauce.The ambience is that of a sushi bar with happy customers conversing while sushi chefs are busy preparing the food.

Date night with the hubby... this place is usually packed but we came closer to closing and got lucky- seated asap.Food: our go to: miso soup, in n out roll, fire roll, house special roll, and a small sashimi. Price- $85Service: was pleasant and quickAmbiance: cool chill spot

This was our first time in the area and it's definitely a popular spot around here! We went on the street side to enter the restaurant, but apparently their main entrance is at the back of the restaurant. Which is odd, because the time we were dining here, there were already so many people who did the same mistake as us, so the waiters would have to tell the next person to go around the corner to write their name down. They should put a sign on that door to enter from the other side to avoid that!Anyways, the wait was actually not too long for just the two of us. We waited about 10 minutes or so, and we got seated! Ordering was quite easy, but time to get our food was a bit slow. The waitress did warn us about that, so we do appreciate the heads up lol. The owner(?) was a kind man and he would continuously check with every table. He would check up on us quite frequently! Once we got our order, the sushi sizes were pretty huge! Which I think is a huge plus for this place. We ordered a salmon nigiri and the unagi nigiri and these two might have been my favorite ones. They're very simple, yet thick, which made the sushi stand out so much! We also ordered this baked salmon roll and the house special roll. The baked salmon roll was okay, it is as you would have thought. Although, the roll would crumble apart so easily. The house special roll was pretty nice. The albacore was a nice touch although I personally may not be too big of a fan of it. It was still tasty though.Overall, maybe we didn't try the right selections, but we did enjoy the nigiris a lot. Otherwise, we'll be open to trying here again!

The location is awesome ... right off Indian Hill near downtown Claremont , I walked in and was immediately seated.Just to be frank ... was not too impressed with the food. The rainbow roll was ok .. way too much rice and crab that it over powered when the shining star should be the fish. The miso soup , ok. The dynamite roll was actually really good.I will say I do not appreciate a sushi spot when they water down the soy sauce and it was very apparent at this spot, just doesn't taste right. For what it seems , it looks like customers like the place , regardless of the food I would fix the duck tape on the knobs in the bathroom and hide the back hallway just looks tacky , considering that this is a location near downtown Claremont.

KAZAMA!This place is a favorite for a reason.Pricing is awesome -$15 average roll with huge portions. Taste wise it is up there! Everything I have had here has been delicious, fresh, and overall great. Service is fast efficient and very friendly. Ample seating- I have been here on weekends and it has always been quick service.Rating 10/10

It was a cozy sushi restaurant a lot of regular customers were greeted I noticed throughout the dining experience. Our server was courteous and kept checking in to see if the food was good and how we were doing. Overall a nice place to come back again.

What a treat to enjoy fresh fish at Kazama Sushi! We enjoyed several rolls, spicy tuna hand rolls, garlic edamame, and small sashimi. The roll was generously filled, a filling portion. My sashimi was fresh and beautifully served. The service is attentive and friendly. Such a great spot.
