Been going to K-Towne a handful of times over the last 6 years. My last visit will probably be my last visit literally. Something changed. I suspected new ownership, and I believe it did change hands judging from some of the other reviews. Prices increased significantly. Food was bland but overly sweet if that's possible. There is a large "B" on the entrance door from the health inspector. Not sure why but says major infraction observed. The soda machine was not working and it was dispensing flat soda. I paid $3 for a 16 oz cup. They offered a 12 oz can which was fine. I finished it and went to get another can. They wanted to charge me $2,50 for it. When I looked at them like "really?", they said I could have it for free as if doing me a favor. Anyway, I got the Kimchi Fried Rice and added chicken for $3. Cost was about $19+. My plate looked like an appetizer plate. Half of the plate was shredded lettuce with a nasty sweet dressing. It had a few pieces of chicken and very little rice. It did have a lot of carrot slices and onions. They did give a free banchan (spelling?) of kimchi and cucumbers before the meal which was pretty good. They have 3 TV's in the place and none were on (Olympics happening). There are random items in the dining area that could be put away into storage - extra chairs, a heat lamp, an open garbage can. Overall, not a good experience. My pst experiences were much better. If it is a new owner, they better get it together. Turn that health inspector B into an A and add some flavor to the food, especially since prices went up about 40% since last time I was there.

Formally this was K-Towne 88 and is now VK-Towne 88 aka Fontana Pho #2 (OG location is in the king taco plaza on Sierra). It was grand opening weekend, 40% discount off all orders. We were in the area for our hair appt and stopped in for a quick meal and was surprised to see that there were new owners, menus, and the place actually had a few customers dining in. It was explained to me that the restaurant was under new management and was now considered a Vietnamese Korean fusion. While the menu is, approximately 90% Vietnamese dishes, they kept a small selection of the Korean dishes. TBH, we weren't expecting for a Vietnamese restaurant therefore we didn't order Vietnamese food however, looking at the prices, it is considerably higher than most of Vietnamese restaurants within the area. Not sure how they're going to do in terms of business with that pricing. I also thought it was odd with the way they priced the pho selections. They have the usual protein choices however it's an additional $2 per protein choice. Alternatively, you can just order the special, approximately $20, and you get the whole shebang. We ended up ordering the bibimbap, and it was OK. The veggies were fresh however flavor less, definitely needed a little bit more seasoning. Maybe we'll try the bun Bo hue here the next time...

Kimchi anyone? There's a bountiful supply to your hearts desire. Some good Bulgogi fries and orange chicken. Satisfying.. but the Kimchi definitely is the highlight. The menu options had a wide range it's sometimes hard to decide and you end up choosing familiarity when you're pressed for time. Great service! Our server was attentive to our table and kept refilling our Kimchi cravings. Chill atmosphere for a casual lunch.

Fantastic food and great service. They ran out of Sapporo and gave us a free pitcher of beer. I'm in love

The ambiance was not the best considering where in Rancho Cucamonga this is located. I would have expected someone to pay more attention to details. One of the plates of food we purchased was $24 yet it did not meet my standards. The meat was very chewy and not very flavorful. I really wanted to like it but I most likely would not return.

The place serves some Korean street food and Korean fusion like beef bulgogi taco, burritos. I order beef bulgogi fries. It is so delicious with some kimchi at the side.

Start off the bat... definitely not recommended. With ratings high on Yelp, I really was hopeful that this place was going to meet expectations. No, I didn't set it high. I just was expecting good food. Every dish we got was VERY sweet and the flavor was way off. I'm not sure how this place got any stars. Every single dish didn't taste like it was supposed to. I assume this was made to cater to those that want to try Korean food. I really hope people will try other authentic Korean restaurants to get the real deal. But then again, there's not many Korean places around the IE really worthy. Even one Korean buffet in the area was way off in flavor too. I will need to keep hunting.

We came to this place with the plan to eat Korean food but we changed our mind when we see Vietnamese food listed on the menu. The Bon Bu Hue was delicious! We also ordered the fried rice, and it's so good! Something about it made it taste smokey. We thought that the pricing of the food was a bit on the higher side but after we received the food, we understood why they priced it that way. The food portion was huge! One plate could be for 2 or more people. Not only that, the food comes with a drink!I'll come back for the Bon Bu Hue and the fried rice!
