The food is full of flavor not too spicy, and well cooked. It may take a bit longer for you to be taken care of as some customers are not familiar or sure what they want and the staff is limited at times. Give it a try. Jamaican food it a great experience.

This review is somewhat secondhand Today, my coworker who had never had Jamaican food wanted to try so she went in to grab us lunch and of course I tell her to ask for extra gravy on the rice. She went in, asked, got told no and then offered to pay for extra. She was told "We don't have any more". My coworker is the sweetest person so she just left. She is not black or of West Indian descent so she was a little confused about why the gentleman had a rude tone with her and said she's never returning. When she got back to the office & told me about her experience, I wasn't shocked, but I felt really bad that she was treated that way. In regard to the food, in my opinion the portions are a bit small and the oxtail was not good. It tasted more like birria than traditional oxtail. I will say the few pieces we got weren't TOO fatty, but the flavor was definitely lacking. Most Caribbean/black folks know the running joke of the customer service wont be good, but the food is! This is not the case for this establishment. I rarely eat oxtail outside of my parents' or the east coast, but we wanted to support this local business & were hopeful. I will be sticking to Island Breeze in Colton.

Great place... have to try at least once. The oxtail was nice and tender. The steamed veggies was great in the oxtail juice. I felt the rice and beans were a little hard (maybe under cooked) plantains were good. The homemade carrot juice tasted great and reminded me of a chai tea. When we got there they had just opened and still setting up. But was very humble and helpful since it was our first time there. Before leaving we tried the red bean soup that was just made but I didn't take a picture of it. They said it is usually served on it on weekends but because of the weather they made some and it did not disappoint. Thank you

The ox tails was amazing. Today I ordered curry chicken and Goat. The chicken was fall off the bone good. But you have to go to their sister store in the same parking lot to get their beef patties. Don't skip the extra 50 steps for that beef patty. It's seriously worth it

First time Moreno Valley has a Jamaican restaurant so I stopped by. I first discovered the market where I got delicious curry chicken patties. They told me they had a restaurant and stopped by the next day. I opted for the curry and jerk chicken. The curry chicken was flavorful and the jerk chicken was good but a bit too spicy. The oxtails were very good and falling off the bone. Overall the food and service were great. I do feel like it was a bit on the expensive side for the portions. I do recommend the patties, curry chicken, and sorrel juice as the best.

We've been here 3 times now and have loved it each time. So far we've tried the Ackee and Saltfish, Jerk Chicken, Oxtail, Brown Stew Chicken, and Curry Chicken (in addition to rice and peas, steamed veggies, fried plantains, and festivals). This is a small mom-and-pop shop so come in with a patient mind. Trish, the owner I'm assuming, is so sweet and practically runs the place herself full time. She also has these homemade drinks that are absolutely delicious. We've ordered over the phone each time and highly recommend doing so because prep time can take a while. The ackee and saltfish is made to order so it can be up to a 45 minute wait. Also, festivals are only available during the weekend but sometimes she makes it during the week if you're lucky. The food is so flavorful from the main dishes to the sides. The Ackee and Saltfish is my go to order but I recommend all the other mains as well. Be careful about bones for the chicken and oxtail. It's a bit pricey but the portions are huge. Overall would highly recommend and for sure coming back again! There's also a Caribbean market across the parking lot and they have these delicious beef patties, would recommend stopping by because it pairs well with the plates.
